More sitemap issues: help

Hey Guys,
Seems I'm having more sitemap issues -I just checked my WMT and find that for my com.au and com site - the com.au site is showing i only have 2 pages indexed and 72 Web Pages submitted.
The .com I look under sitemaps and it doesn't show any results as to how many pages have been indexed instead it is giving me this error warning - "Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead."
All 3 sites are listed here:
Any advice would be much appreciate here!

Thanks for your response, all sites have sitemaps, I submitted all 3 domains below to through WMT

https://www.zenory.com/sitemap_nz.xml
so that they would not be overwriten all top level domains are on the same server. After this I still have no idea why they are not showing up correctly. I have limited all the cross referencing from each site to try and better defensiate each site so google could pick up that each one was relevant to the country specified. For the au it says 74 were submitted and only 2 were indexed.
Any advice around this would be awesome

https://www.zenory.co.nz/sitemap.xmlDo you have sitemaps for these sites? Have you added each as their own profile in Search Console and submitted a sitemap? Google has a resource to help diagnose problems with your sitemap - have you looked into that at all to see if Google found any errors?

All 3 sites have the hreflang tags, they also have geo targeting set for all 3 countries, they are all index for the right countries, however the pages are indexing is quiet low considering i have submitted about 70 pages.

Your sites wont get indexed because they are all exact duplicates of one another. Hence, Google indexes the .com but not the others.
What you need to do is link all of the websites up with a hreflang tag... this tells google that all 3 of these sites are the same, except you should display the correct domain depending on where the searcher is from.

Hi ALL Okay I'm a bit confused here, but it says I have submitted 72 (pages) im assuming and its returning only (2 pages) have been indexed? I submitted a new site map for each of my 3 top level domains and checked it today and its showing this result attached. We are still having issues with meta tags showing up in the incorrect country. If anyone knows how I can attend to this knightmare would be much appreciated lol 🙂 new

Help with a Link Building Audit
A customer wants to have a better position with a keyword (he has already a great position, but he wants more...). So he need a bit of extra link building to have better position in serp(this niche is very competitive so on page is not sufficient).

He asked me to do a Link Building Analysis to find good link opportunities.
How can i structure a good report? I need something like a Seo Audit for link building. That's my idea:
Identify what are the business objectives
Identify the brand strenghts and weakness
Find the strongest competitors and understand their tactics
See what are the top links that they have
Copy their best strategies
Find new strategies not used by the competitors

Do legitimately earned links from unrelated sites help or hurt?
We have a few charity events coming up that have offered to link back to our homepage. While we do genuinely like the charities we are going to sponsor, I'm not sure how those links will look seo-wise. For example, one is for the local high school basketball team and another is for a Pediatric Care Mud Run. To a human, these links make perfect sense, but to a robot, I'm not sure if it differentiates these links from spam/some negative link. Granted, I understand that a small percentage of links probably won't do anything either way, but I'd like to ignore that for the purposes of my question. All things being equal, do links such as these help or hurt? Thanks for your time and insight, Ruben

SEO best practice: Use tags for SEO purpose? To add or not to add to Sitemap?
Hi Moz community, New to the Moz community and hopefully first post/comment of many to come. I am somewhat new to the industry and have a question that I would like to ask and get your opinions on. It is most likely something that is a very simple answer, but here goes: I have a website that is for a local moving company (so small amounts of traffic and very few pages) that was built on Wordpress... I was told when I first started that I should create tags for some of the cities serviced in the area. I did so and tagged the first blog post to each tag. Turned out to be about 12-15 tags, which in turn created 12-15 additional pages. These tags are listed in the footer area of each page. There are less than 20 pages in the website excluding the tags. Now, I know that each of these pages are showing as duplicate content. To me, this just does not seem like best practices to me. For someone quite new to the industry, what would you suggest I do in order to best deal with this situation. Should I even keep the tags? Should I keep and not index? Should I add/remove from site map? Thanks in advance for any help and I look forward to being a long time member of SEOMoz.

Has Panda help this site achieve great heights? How? and Why?
Today I went about my business in trying to understand what is happening in our market, eyewear, after the last Panda update. I was interested to know if any of our competitors were effected as much as we were for a very competitive key phrase To my surprise a new kid appeared on the block, well, on page one, position two. Imagine my second surprise, when the new kid turn out to be a 3 month old domain, yes 3 months, with zero page rank and zero back links. I was in for one more surprise before I stood up, walked to the window and gazed into space to contenplate the meaning of Panda and SEO as we know it. This third surprise was the site in question is a counterfeiting site using black hat SEO with fast results. Help for a complete SEO newbie!
Hi all, I've just joined seomoz today to try and further my very young education on SEO. My major problem is i need my site to rank high in local search engines but feel that none of the customers read much of the content as i am a landscaper and feel they just search "landscaping in Newcastle" and are immediatly looking for a contact number to arrange a free estimate. I dont do any online sales, its just to generate leads. I've spent alot of time building a better site than my local competitors but they still out rank me on alot of keywords i.e. "Driveways in Gateshead" My question is do i keep adding more and more content hoping this will work long term or do i link build with anchor text etc or both? I cannot believe they still out rank me when i feel i have more links more anchor text and a load more origional content and images. I think it may be that my site is still under 1 year old. I feel i am boucing from content to link building then trying something else without any real knowlegde of what i really should be doing or what should be the priority at this young stage for my site. I have managed to get on page 1 of google for most of my keywords in local searches ( obviously not national) but still feel its been more down to luck and effort than actually knowing what i am doing when it comes to site and offsite optimization Any help, tips etc would be greatly appreciated. My Google PR is Decreasing HELP!
We have just started in on an SEO campaign after a year or so break from engaging in active SEO efforts. Our rankings and organic traffic seems to be increasing but we just dropped from a PR 5 to a PR 4 after being a PR 5 for probably a couple years. We are not doing anything black hat or sketchy and try hard to make sure all of our links are relevant and quality links. Does anyone know why this might have happened or if it is an indication of anything?
