Which one should I use...Google Analytics or AFS Analytics
-
Hi There,
I am about to implement analytics for a customer site and I am wondering if I should use Google Analytics or https://www.afsanalytics.com ? I am leaning towards Google since it's pretty mainstream but I would love some feedback on the AFS !
Thanks everyone!

I will agree with Russ!
Honestly, I never used AFS Analytics but after reading a bit about them on the website, I feel like it’s not very much different from Google Analytics.
They are offering almost similar thing that GA is already offering at the moment and if you are good with diving deep into the data Google might offer you more details.
If I would be at your place, I would have used Google Analytics over this as the trust level of GA is very high as compare to this.
Hope this helps!

Always go with main stream as you'll get so much more support. The summary of Russ should make it clear that it's the best way to go!

Me three I agree Google analytics is superior

Agreed.

Unfortunately this is a no brainer. You have to go with Google Analytics. There are so many things that make GA the go-to...
- Best in class event tracking: Knowing when and what a person clicked on is actually not the easiest thing to do.
- Incredible data views: You can slice and dice your data in tons of different ways.
- Tons of community support: No other product has as many free advice and support. It is also easy to find pros to help.
- Integrations: The Analytics API will integrate into tons of great tools, like Moz, for more insights.
- Free
The trade off is, of course, that you have to give your user data to Google.

As of now in my analytic i have configured google adwords, google webmaster and google merchant. In analytic i have also set custom alerts, goals, funnels, enchance link attribution, eCommerce etc but google analytics code i have already added in google tag manager, so i have to some manual changes for all such things? or all the things i.e goals, funnel, alerts etc will be transferred automatically at time of transferring the property? Google Analytics for example.com and www.example.com
Hello. I have had a Google Analytics account set up to track the property www.example.com for several years. In Google Webmaster Tools, I recently set the preferred domain to example.com (without the www), and we put in a rewrite from www to no-www in the .htaccess file. Should I now change the url of the property in Google Analytics to example.com (without the www), or does Google Analytics see the two urls as the same? Thank you!

Expert Google Analytics: store with multiple languages and multiple sub-domians
I hope there's some hardcore Analytics shark out there, with a quick reply 🙂 I am setting up a store with multiple languages for a client and need to be able to track multiple sub-domains as a multiple languages in analytics. Example: dk.somedomain.com -> Danish language
Reporting & Analytics | | ReneReinholdt
www.somedomain.com -> English language
no.somedomain.com -> Norweigen language
.. and so on Now what the client would like is to have one single entity with multiple profiles in analytics, like this: somedomain.com
-> www.somedomain.com
-> dk.somedomain.com
-> no.somedomain.com
ex.. So if the client want's to see stats for the English language then he just vlivks the www profile and in case of danish he clicks the dk profile and so on.
problem here is I can't find an analytics help that addresses this specific issue. I have found this but that doesn't seem to cover it:. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. 🙂0 -

Keep multiple Google Analytic / Webmaster accounts seperate?
Hi, I have a paranoid suspicion that putting all my websites on one Webmaster / Analytic account will mean any links between my sites won't carry any weight, and Google might consider similar content much more readily if 2 of my sites are in the same market. So I have about 4 different accounts with my main sites split across them. Am I being over paranoid? Do any of you have any problem with all your sites being on the same account?

Track image searches on google analytics
How can i track image searches on google analytics? To filter the refferers by image.google or /imgres does not work in new google analytics (and brings an impossibly small number on old GA). also, this would not cover local google image refferers, that don't come from image.google.com. anyone knows how to find image search sources? i haven't found anything helpful in google's documentation or forums. thanks!
