Outreach with your own name

I always send outreach under my own name. I use either my private e-mail address or an own e-mail address from the clients domain. I just send out 10 emails and I did get 6 replays which 4 of them started about my SEO background . The response rate was great, but my SEO background isn’t in this case.
How do you guys handle this situation?
I have always used my own name because it feels right. It’s also handy in case I pick up the phone or visit an link prospect in person.
The disadvantage is that people directly doubt my sincerity or they want to sell me a paid placement.
Love to hear your take on this.

Hi Josh, thanks and you're right. I should just deal with that fact. Mabye take some more time to get to learn the partners I'm focusing on before throwing in an request or what so ever and see if that could set me a bit futher apart from what most people consider spam.

Yes, it does. Why is it bad? I assume that for your own outreach you are "outreaching" about seo stuff.
As for non-seo related companies - I usually use our clients info@ email or marketing@ email.
That way it's not related to me, but the company. If you do want to use your own name, then I don't think there is a way to go around your problem.
As for this: "people directly doubt my sincerity or they want to sell me a paid placement" - it's always going to be present and I don't think there is a way to get rid of it, unless your clients' companies become very authoritative in their fields.

When i e-mail them as Bob, or Bob from Client company X they Google my name (my last name is in the e-mailadres and in my senders name) and find out pretty quickly I'm an SEO. Today this was even 4 out of 10 people I e-mailed.
They replay with stuff like "I can see you're an SEO professional" and other related messages.

Is blogger outreach dead?
Hi All, I am a fairly new user of Moz Pro and so far so good! However, after identifying that my link metrics and domain authority have dropped behind my competitors I've started trying to acquire links quite aggressively. I'm currently finding bloggers on Socialix to write about my Firewood business in the UK and currently doing about 5 posts per week. However many are insisting upon including upon a disclaimer (e.g. "sponsored by Firewood Centre") and I had a few questions about best practices. Are the disclaimer rules different in the UK vs the US? There seems to be stricter policy in the US. In some cases I am providing free product, does this still mean that bloggers should include a disclaimer? The idea was to get original photography and proof of concept for the post. Is the non-follow link worthless? Again, another point argued by the bloggers. Is blogger outreach dead? Should I focus my efforts elsewhere? Please share your best link acquisition tips here! Hiring for SEO Outreach
Hope everyone is having a nice Labor Day! We're a family owned wine club startup and have been handling SEO in house since things didn't go well with a previous SEO company (and sure we've done plenty of bad stuff along the way as well). In any case, we're writing a blog, including video entries etc. I've been handling basic email outreach about posts (ie if I write a winery profile, asking the winery to link to it) but don't really have time to handle more significant outreach than that. Can anyone make some suggestions about where to hire someone for an outreach job like this? It would undoubtedly be part time and Elance didn't give us anyone we were comfortable with. Website title has domain name in SERPS but not in the website.
We are using the latest version of Wordpress for one of our website. Now every page in SERPS is like this: SEO Services, Link Building and Social Media - Oursite.com But when we look at our website's title tag its like this: <title>SEO Services, Link Building and Social Media</title> It's very strange, why the website's domain name is appended to the title in SERPS?? Any ideas? Thanks!

Sub domain names will they help with rankings
Hi, i have a site where i want to use sub domains to showcase the different areas in the country that we work, and i was thinking of having a couple of domain names with the city names to showcase the work we do in that city. Setting up Web 2.0 sites in your own name or business name?
I'm interested in starting a link wheel strategy. However, when it comes to setting up the web 2.0 sites I'm unsure as to whether to set them up in my own name or in my business name. My initial thoughts were that it would appear more natural in my own name but if I have many sites linking to the same page, isn't that bad for SEO? Does anyone have any advice?

Forgot the name of a cool SEO Tool... Help!
I recently discovered a cool SEO tool. I didn't write it down, save it, bookmark, etc... And now I can't remember the name of the tool for the life of me, but I'd really like to use it again. I was hoping I could list of the features that I remember, and one of you Mozzers know what I'm talking about. It was a backlink analysis tool. It had a free version, and after you performed so many searches/searched so many backlinks, you had to pay. From what I remember it was a fairly nominal fee with the most popular package in around $25. The reason that I liked it so much was you could take an OSE csv file, dump it in there, and it would sort all of the links by link type, i.e, footer, comment, directory, etc... Then it would put it all into a nice pie chart for you and show you the % of the total links that each link type made up. It would also analyze the anchor text and would show you every anchor text used, and the % of the total each one made up.
