Page title in Google search is defferent

Hello,
Google changes the title of the main page only for my sites in this way:
What I configured: My page title | my site name
How it shows in Google: My site name: My page title
If I checked some meta tags analyzer it will show my configured page title and also in Bing.com
So what do you thing about it.

This has to do with Click Thru Rates (as well as visitor performance metrics once a user lands on the page) and what Google thinks serves as a better Title.
In a nutshell, Google is providing a better page title for you. For you, this means create a better page title. Look at your search queries in Google Webmaster Tools. Look at your particular landing page and notice the differences the main search impression keyword phrases and the Page Titles that Google ends up delivering in search results.
Use this to your advantage to optimize click thru rates. It's likely that they think your brand name so much coincides w/ your product, that you may be better off using it in the front of the Title, instead of at the end.
Hard to say w/out knowing more specifics, but we're about to publish a piece on this topic regarding leveraging Page Titles for increases in click through rates -- one of the main problems is the fact that Google keeps modifying them. Turns out, that's a good thing though!

As the other replies mentioned, this is very normal. Anecdotally, it seems this happens most commonly if the brand name is more relevant for that search. Essentially they've decided for one reason or another that putting your brand first is likely to give you more SERP clicks.
I don't think we've ever had a concise explanation from Google as to exactly why this happens but either way, it's not something to be stressed about. If your page titles were being completely dropped in place of Google-generated ones this may be an indication that yours need some serious revision (depending on context) but in this instance it's fine.

Google monkeys with my page titles a lot.
At first I thought that they were stinking up my smart marketing, but now I think that they might use the query string and toss up a title that will better elicit clicks.

This is extremely common. Are your competitors' titles in the search results displayed the same way? e.g. "Website: Page Title". If so, I'd bet that if you checked their source, Google would have changed it for them too. In which case, not sure if there's anything you could do about it. Google just seems to have preference for brand name first when it comes to some search queries where they deem the brand name more important to the user than the page title for that particular query.

Moving Top rank Page urls off my Home page and nesting them on one page? Good idea?
I am basically trying to cut down the amount of links on my home page to make it less eye boggling and move stuff around. So i have of my Urls on my home page that lead to pages that rank very well within google. My questions is can i remove those urls to a separate page to group them together and then showcase that one link to that page on my home page. Is that a good idea or i am going to loose my link juice and position in search? The physical urls on those pages wont change at all.

Fixed horrible title tag on home page, and lost ranking. Will it come back?
I was helping out someone on their site and its home page ranked on page 2 for their term, and the title tag was horrible. It was 160 characters long with lots of near repetitive keywords ([keyword] - adjective [keyword] - adjective [keyword] - adjective [keyword] etc.) -- typical title that Google would penalize when it got around to it. So I created a title that made sense, for the keyword, and that followed the best practices of Google recommendations. Now it's dropped off the index. (EDIT: sorry, still in index, just not even in top 1000) Is this something I should not have done? I was just trying to keep them from getting slammed. And, how long should I expect it to take to get my ranking back? This is the only page title I changed.

Main page deindexed by google.
3 days ago our main page('/') has stopped appear in google results. Rest of pages works fine. Even our main page from canadian version of site with similar content works fine. Some times canadian page appears for key word where we had our com version before. But I think this is just result of disappearing com version. Any suggestion were to look? Messages box in google webmastertools is empty. Could this be the question too long page title? PS: Does any way exist to check if we were punished by Google and reason of this? For Bing and Yahoo everything works fine. PPS: We have just found that "cache:our_site.com" and "info:our_site.com" returns in google our_site.ca. So this should be reason of problem. So now we are looking how to fix this.

Should H1s be used in the logo? If they are and it is dynamic on each page to relate to the page content, is this detrimental to the site rather than having it in the page content?
On some sites, the H1 is contained within the logo and remains consistent throughout the site (i.e. the company name is in the of the logo). If the h1 in a logo is dynamic for each page (i.e. on the homepage it is company name - homepage) is this better or worse to have it changed out on the logo rather than having it in the page content?

Potential Duplicate Title Tags On Sibling Pages
Edit I'll take the fall on this one, seems I could have asked my quesiton in a more clear manner. I was cruising other questions and finding a whole of answers that I suspect were not truly intended to help, but maybe help and earn Mozpoints. Wasn't fair of me to label those answering here with that. I will work better on the wording of my questions! 🙂 Edit Either I am asking my question poorly or I am learning there may be a rush to get points by throwing up any old answer...it very well may be the former which I am open to feedback on. Each page is to stand alone and hopefully rank well for the neighbourhood name and in conjunction with another relevant keyword phrase. There is no 'duplicate' version of any pages. * On a site there are numerous pages that provide real estate listings broken down by neighbourhood. Each containing similar content, a abbreviated version of the listings, often spanning 2 or 3 pages. These are 3rd level pages. Properties->Calgary Neighbourhoods->Evanston The title tags created are: Evanston Homes For Sale - NW Calgary Real Estate Panorama Hills Home For Sale - NW Calgary Real Estate Etc. for about 15 or so pages. Then they start again for another area of the city: Sagewood Homes For Sale - Airdrie Real Estate Woodside Homes For Sale - Airdrie Real Estate At this point there is no text on the actual page outside of the listings...an example of similar listings on another site - http://www.experiencerealtygroup.com/BaturynandDunluceHomes.ubr Do you think the SE's will see these as 'proper' use of the Title Tag or duplicate or other practices they tend to frown upon? It is a logical way of creating the title and obviously creating a unique version for each page would not only be tough to scale on some sites with 100's of these pages, they would become a little silly and not much use to the searcher in the SERPs Thanks for any help!
