How do you create landing pages with different domains?
-
I am wondering how do I create landing pages with differing domains? We recently acquired some other domains that will hopefully help with our SEO, Key Word targeting. I understand how to create the landing page but I don't know how to link it to our other domain. I was thinking about a rel canonical but will that defeat the purpose of the landing page, in terms of ranking? I guess the issue that I am facing is when we start up these new domains they will not have the Domain Authority or the Page Authority of our main site. I would like to try and get them ranked organically as well as PPC.
Thanks.

What's the point of the new domains in relation to the primary domain? Are you planning on using them to cover niche's unrelated to the main site? Are they different businesses branching off of the main company (subsidiaries on the main)? Depending on how you're planning on using them, there's a variety of different things you can do. There are a variety of ways to solve a problem so depending on what your goals are, the community may suggest something different.
Share a little more about what you're doing (you don't need to give away full specifics), and maybe we can come up with a good way to use them.

Outsource Engineering Design India
Offshore Engineering Design India My question is, should I create 2 separate pages for these keywords with the addition of their extended related keywords or just keep one long page with both these keywords targeted? Technically, Outsource and Offshore have separate meanings but on SERP it seems like both are searched for the same purpose. Can you please share your views on this? Thanks0 -
Strategy for product content page development.
I have a project to work on product and landing pages for a website with 5000+ SKU's. I am looking to hire a content writer to do this but I want a strategy in place to develop these pages. I have googled a bit and they mostly talk about the body of the page. I am looking for best practices for the entire page, Title, H1, Meta and body. Any good tutorials for this type of project anyone can recommend? Anyone with experience doing this type of project? Thanks, Mark

Coworker and I see totally different keyword volumes on same paid keyword planner account
My coworker and I are both connected to the same company's paid keyword planner account but are using our own individual google accounts to log in. When I look up the keyword "joint bank account" I get a search volume of 9,900, while she gets a search volume of 2,900. Does anyone know why this might be? Do we know which might be more accurate? This doesn't seem to be connected to Google lumping semantic variations together. I've seen it happen way before that update. It's hindering our headline pitching since the volume she sees does not meet our minimum search threshold. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Laira

Selecting a main keyword phrase when a company has two very different markets
In this article by Cyrus Shepard, we are reminded of the relationship between keywords on a page and how each secondary keyword should support the (single) main keyword phrase. What is the best practice for a website that deals in two major market sectors instead of one. Often (like in this article) SEO examples focus on a well-defined topic (like "White House" or "used cars"). But what about a case in which, for example, the company is involved in both pest control and odor removal. For the home page, would you try to still focus on a **single **keyword phrase (and close variants and synonyms) that would be general enough to encompass both? Or in this case would it work to apply this method to two main keywords on a single page? Although this article (and others) would suggest the first, it often feels that in cases like this where there are two or more topics that are not closely related it's hard to find a single keyword phrase that would generate significant traffic with the right intent. Would you still try to focus on a single keyword phrase for the homepage that encompasses both topics (like 'environment restoration') vs two phrases (for example 'pest control' and 'odor removal') knowing that the home page will probably not rank heigh against competitors, and focus on the single keywords 'pest control' and 'odor removal' on the secondary pages?

Creating a new page versus adding to existing page (for targeting a keyword phrase)
What are your considerations when deciding whether to create a brand new page versus adding content to an existing page when targeting a new keyword phrase on your site? My thought is that if it is mildly competitive, a new page would make more sense since you can optimize the title tags and URL. But if it is long tail and low competition, you would be better off to add a paragraph to an existing page to minimize diluting your website by adding more pages.

Plural vs singular keyword usage - on-page optimization
The on-page report card appears to include both plural and singular versions of keywords in reporting the keywords within the body, which results in a keyword stuffing warning. My question is, is it truly keyword spamming to use over 15 instances of a keyword that is spread across plural and singular versions of the keyword? If keywords are lumped together this way by Google's algorithms, why do pages rank differently for singular and plural versions of the same keyword?

How do you do Keyword Research for a company that creates a lot of content
I work for a media company that owns 4 magazines. Our company is constantly producing new content. How do you do Keyword Research when the subject of your content is constantly changing? Do you need to do Keyword Research or do you simply optimize every article that you write for the web? Any ideas?
