Optimizing an e-commerce website
-
Hi,
What do you recommend me to optimice an e-commerce website to rank every page or product?
Do I have to implement schema and meta description for every product or is easier to optimice every category?
-
Hi Patrick, Thanks!
Excellent answer, only a doubt about Schema, If every product is refreshing every month what happened with that information or could be a dynamic information for Schema?
-
BuiltVisible also has a great and very comprehensive guide to meta data and schema.

Great answer! I'll add our Search Ranking Factors to the list.

Hi there
I definitely recommend Schema on every product, as well as breadcrumbs, reviews, and also site search which helps for Sitelinks search boxes. It also helps inform your Google Analytics.
Here are a couple of great resources:

Thin & Duplicate Content: eCommerce SEO (Inflow)
The Definitive Guide To Ecommerce Search Engine Optimization (Neil Patel)Take advantage of internal linking between relevant products and categories, and make sure you have a proper information architecture set up for usability!
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Would this hack work? - human-readability-optimized headline -> keyword-optmized headline
Hi Moz-ians, I need your insight. I am thinking of the following hack: 1. Writing the headline of a blogpost as human-readable & catchy as possible and publish on content voting communities like Hacker News. (basically serving human readers the best) 2. After the influx of large traffic, change the title based on the target keywords of the blogpost. (basically serving Google Search Engine the best) I would like to know whether making such a change after publishing a post would nullify any positive impact I will earn by publishing the post in terms of the search ranking of the page? (=whether it would be a sound strategy.) I am worried a sudden change in the headline (e.g., or element) would damage the increase in page authority I've gotten through the incoming traffic from, say, Hacker News, which makes this hack not worthwhile to explore.

Keyword optimization of main keyword across site.
My site is optimized for keyword "payment gateway" but it seems for each keyword only one page should be optimized as per good SEO. So if I've a page about Paypal then how should I spread the keywords? Here the main will be Paypal and site keyword will be payment gateway. It means site should have more Paypal than payment gateway. But can payment gateway be in 3rd or 4th position in density? Similarly how should I create other pages? How search engines determine the site authority based on keyword? ( let us ignore the external backlinks, context of them and anchor texts).

On-page: Over optimized images?
Hello guys. I have a small question about an on-page optimization for images. What I have: good title tag / good url structure good content (NOT keyword shuffled, its real content, for real people) images / gallery uploaded to folder named same as article name. For example: Great tips for bloggers [article name], great-tips-for-bloggers [folder name]. So my question is: Will Google harm me for this "too good" paths to images, article related image filenames, with mask like [gtips-img01], and if all images have titles / alt tags? Thank you guys.

(~More than 6 months) But, Google have indexed only 97 webpages. I have created one campaign over SEOmoz tool and found some errors over there. So, I just assumed that due to it Google did not crawled my website. But, I have created one another campaign for my competitor website to know actual status and reason behind it. I found that, my competitor website have more error compare to me but, Google have crawled maximum pages compare to me. So, What is reason behind it?
