Can i use hard innerlinks on my blog to my landingspages ?
-
Hello,
Ihave a website and also on the same domain a blog with a lot of posts.
Is it possible in each blogpost put 2 innerlinks
1. innerlink to other blogpost with keyword or combination
2. hard link like "Design Sauna" and link to the landingspage of the webshop ?
Is this the right way ? thanks
Regards,
Marcel

Completely agree. I'd recommend writing blog posts that will be useful to your visitors, and _if _a link to a product or service page is justified organically, then go ahead. But I really wouldn't recommend shoehorning a link to a landing page into every blog post.

Hi Marcel,
Internal linking between your blog posts is something you should definitely be doing, as long as they're relevant to each other. If one blog post is helpful to a user, linking to a related one may give them that bit of extra info they needed.
On the other hand, linking from your blogs to landing pages is something I'd avoid. Blogs are meant to be informative and/or starting a conversation. Linking to your products or services will often make the whole post feel like it was just written to promote what you do.
There are some exceptions to this but they are rare.
Also, don't get too tied up in using keywords as your anchor text. Just use whatever anchor makes sense and if it happens to have the keywords in there then that's great too.

H1 Tags for Articles in Blog Category - confused ;-(
Dear Seomoz community This is my first post here. Until now I was only browsing the Q&A and learned a lot just by reading the existing topics. Since we launched our website with a new design last week I started to heavily use Seomoz to track down missing tags, descriptions and other on page issues. Just out of curiosity I checked the page outline of the Seomoz blog. I was really surprised! Seomoz uses only H1 tags on their blog main page. Each article is wrapped in an H1 plus the blog title. I am a total SEO beginner but until today I was thinking that using several H1 tags on one page is not optimal. We use one H1 tag on our site for the magazine category description (for example http://www.siam2nite.com/magazine ) and then for the articles H2. So my question. Should I change my H2 to H1 for the magazine articles like Seomoz did? Would really appreciate your advise on this Regards, Menelik

Can duplicate content issues be solved with a noindex robot metatag?
Hi all I have a number of duplicate content issues arising from a recent crawl diagnostics report. Would using a robots meta tag (like below) on the pages I don't necessarily mind not being indexed be an effective way to solve the problem? Thanks for any / all replies

What's the best strategy for reducing the number of links on a blog post?
I'd like to optimize my blog better for search. The first reccomendation I got from my SEOMoz Pro Campaign Crawl was that I needed to reduce the number of links per page on my site. I have lots of links from navigational items in the sidebar that people do click on. I'd really like to keep some or all of the tags and categories I list. Comments are another issue. Most of our posts get about 10 comments. However, our best posts get 50-100 comments. Those comments create a lot of links. I was planning on attempting to reduce the number of links using javascript but I guess Google understands javascript now. I may still do this b/c our pages are huge and some progressive rendering would likely help the user experience. Can you use javascript (ajax or otherwise) to limit the number of links on your page in a way that helps your SEO efforts? Any specific suggestions for reducing links that come from comments and navigational items? How much will reducing the number of links on a given page help with SEO? Any simple way to estimate or quantify this without diving in? Thanks in advance!
