Can I add more then 3 competitors do my SEO moz pro account?
-
I have a client who will need more then the three competitors tracked(possibly up to 10) is there any way to do this with one campaign or will i need to start multiple campaigns to achieve this?
-
@jon-white would you be able to provide any update on this issue?
-
It seems the only reason Moz is not working on this issue is the fact that customers are going around it by creating more campaigns (everything similar but diferent compretitors) and in result paying more to Moz. This is not a practical solution for all customers spacially the smaller agencies or businesses.
Would really love to see this feature updated to at least 5 competitors. Common Moz! You can do it!
-
8 years later adding more than three competitors is a must-have. It was a work in progress in 2015, but in 2021 it's still not a feature.
-
I just signed up for the 30 day trial, and this is the first question I had. I'm also looking at Advanced Web Ranking, and they allow more than 3 competitors. The ability to track up to 10 competitors should be basic functionality for a professional tool.
-
Would indeed by very useful to be able to track more than three competitors
-
Read that useful workaround post and up voted it in the middle of this thread, but this is definitely a feature request. By the way, where do we get to see current feature requests and vote on them? Is there any such place?
-
/bump
We'd love the ability to track more than three competitors too
-
Hey! Dave here from the Help Team,
We are aware that this is something our customers want and we keep track of everyone that writes in about it but at this time we cannot guarantee this functionality or have a valid timeframe for it.
-
For us too! @Moz: When will this become available?
-
BUMP
My team also has a need to track more than 3 competitors.
Is there an update available with regard to this functionality request?
Regards,
Josh

I'm comparing ZEFO to MOZ, and in ZEFO you can enter as many competitors as needed. They also have a nice competition report showing your SERP position relative to the listeed copetitors.
I'm impressed by MOZ page analysis, which is most important ofr me, but would like to see similar competitors functionality with large number of competitors.
-
I agree. We have at least 20 we have to track and this is very limiting.
-
100% agree.
If we could track more than just three that would be a GREAT improvement.
-
That's good news. Right now the way my company solves this is by creating multiple campaigns, each one being identical except that three different competitors are listed. Not ideal.
-
Having just started using Moz seriously, and loving it, more competitors is definitely something I could use the most. Ten would be awesome! Three is really not enough. Perhaps there could be paid bolt-on packs for adding competitors? I imagine the resource usage is quite high. Five as standard with options for more would seem good to me.
-
Huge need for this, please add more than 3 fields to ranking analysis, prefer 10, but any more would be great
thx -
Bump for this too! Jon's answer seemed quite positive... any more news?
-
Would be helpful for us too, but for now we'll work around it.
-
Please add more competitors in each campaign!
Thanks,
-
Hello! This is still something we are considering for the roadmap. If you could rate features on a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 is 'very unlikely we will ever build this' and 5 is 'we are working on it right now', I would give this a 4. Very likely it will happen in the future, but we have not committed to it yet.
Hope this helps - thank you!
-
I would also like to see the availability of at least five competitors for a single campaign. Thanks!
-
Please add more then the max 3 now
-
Hi there! It's definitely something we're aware folks want, and it's on our radar for the future. There's no official ETA yet, though.
In the meantime, there are some workarounds and tools that may help.
-
If you're not using all of your available campaigns, try adding a second campaign for the same site, and add up to 3 different competitors there (OP alluded to this).
-
Some of the research tools—specifically, Open Site Explorer and Rank Tracker—can help you get data on more competitors. The only issue is that they won't automatically update each week as your campaigns do, so you'll need to go in to pull more data when you need it.
In OSE, Competitive Link Metrics lets you compare the page-, subdomain-, and domain-level metrics of up to 5 sites at a time (the one you initially searched for and four more).
Rank Tracker allows you to pull ranking information on-demand for any site.
You may also appreciate the competitive insights you can get from the Keyword Difficulty tool and its Full SERP Analysis Report. Cyrus Shepard does a great job of covering how that works in this video.
I hope that helps hold you over a bit!

More than 3 competitors is a must nowadays, when using a paid PRO version this is by far one of the weakest limitations on your wonderful service.
-
Bump... please add more than 3 competitors per campaign.
-
Right now, we still just have the three competitors, though we are looking at the possibility of adding more in the future.
-
Hi there, Has there been any update or change to this? I'd also like to have our 5 primary competitors.
-
I would love to have at least 5 competitors to track. 3 is very limited. I understand the work required for Moz to increase this, but that's what we pay for
-
I would also appreciate if more competitors were available.
For one of my websites, I would like to track 5 competitors, for the other I need 7 competitors. It seems that when I add another project, there's simply no slot left.
That's a bit disappointing. Thanks for the information guys.
-
I would really like this as well. For a PRO account, I was hoping it would be far more robust. Little disappointing. I may try to use my other 4 available campaigns to track three more competitors at a time...
-
So far, there is only the ability to track three. There has been talk of increasing this up to five (which is a number many people seem keen on) but even doing that is an increase n these specific resources of 66%. I don't think it's as simple as just creating an extra few spaces on the form.
Maybe you could put a request in for an increase - the more we tell the team what we would like, the more they will prioritize the important requests.

Can I track Page Authority on a custom report?
I'm trying to set up a custom report that will track my e-commerce website's authority. I've already added the Domain Authority module, but I can't find a Page Authority module. (There are options to track the page score or grade, but this appears to be very different from Page Authority--whereas Page Authority is a holistic score, page score/grade seems to focus only on page content.) Is it possible to track Page Authority on a custom report? If possible, I'd like to track the following pages: Page Authority of my homepage, compared to my competitors' homepages Page Authority of each of my 4 product pages, compared to my competitors' product pages

Will the Moz Keyword Explorer Tool (which I LOVE BTW) some day allow you to see search result figures broken down by location?
I know this is a long shot, but are there plans to eventually filter keyword volumes by location like the Google AdWords tool does today? Or is that never going to happen? Assuming not, are there other recommended avenues for teasing out keyword volumes of a local vicinity? I work for a health system, so nearly all of our customers are local. So I always feel like I have to guess on words like "urgent care" since obviously I'm not trying to rank nationally, but often people do not use a geo modifier term when searching.

Suggestion to Improve Moz's Link Data
Hello All. The recent Index update (29th January) seems to have produced quite a few shocks to Moz Pro users. Index updates always cause panic and joy every time they are released. However, I feel this is a big improvement that could be made. In this last index, the DA for my site has remained the same. I was expecting a rise, simply because I have been doing some link building since October and was expecting the results to start showing around this time. However, the link metrics for my site looked worse this month than ever before. The index clearly didn't crawl sites and pages that it has crawled the last couple of indexes, and I noticed a few links disappeared from the metrics altogether, links that I know still exist. So I have a suggestion... If Moz has collected link data in previous indexes, can it not preserve that data rather than starting afresh with every new index. Regular checks could be conducted on existing link data to identify expired or broken links, but to disregard them and start anew with every index seems a little odd. That way, Moz would have much more accurate and comprehensive link data which would help to avoid the DA inaccuracy, and provide users with a better measure of how their site is performing against the rest of the web. This may be naive because I do not know the technical side to index updates. Any thoughts, advice, suggestions etc would be appreciated.
