803 errors

I asked the person who manages my server to take a look into my 803 errors. But he does not find anything in the logs. Is there a way to find out what causes these errors. And what is meant with 803 error in Search Engine blocked by robots.txt column?

Howdy,
Yes, you won't be able to see anything in server logs. What happens is that the crawler is not getting proper response data. There are couple good explanations in other Q&As. And it's not necessarily robots.txt problem. Read these:

GWT giving me 404 errors based on old and deleted site map
I'm getting a bunch of 404 crawl errors in my Google Webmaster Tools because we just moved our site to a new platform with new URL structure. We 301 redirected all the relevant pages. We submitted a new site map and then deleted all the site maps to the old website url structure. However, google keeps crawling the OLD urls and reporting back the 404 errors. It says that the website is linking to these 404 pages via an old outdated sitemap (which if you goto shows a 404 as well, so it's not as if Google is reading these old site maps now). Instead it's as if Google has cached the old sitemap but continues to use it to crawl these non-existent pages. Any thoughts?

Why is Coyscape showing content duplication error even after implementing 301 redirect ?
We are maintaining the corporate website of one of our prestigious clients "FineTech Toolings" (http://www.finetechtoolings.in). Recently I had raised a question regarding "2 websites running paralley in 2 diferent domains, i.e. 1 organisation having 2 different websites on 2 different domains". Recently my domain changed from http://www.finetechtoolings.co.in to http://www.finetechtoolings.in via 301 redirect, but still I am facing content duplication issue as per Copyscape. Hence I am having a small doubt regarding the same. Please note the following question very carefully and provide me the exact problem and the solution for the same: Even though I have implemented 301 redirect (http://www.finetechtoolings.co.in is redirected to http://www.finetechtoolings.in), which is completely ok as per the SEO rules, why is copyscape still showing that duplicate content exists in the former website? I think I am clear enough with my question.

Hi, How do I resolve a duplicate title error in GWT over spelling in URL? Ttile of Post: Minneapolis Median Home Sales Price Up 16 Percent Not sure how this happened, but I have two URL versions show up. Even with a 301 redirect, the both remain an error in GWT.

Increase in Not Found Errors
Hello All, Looking for input on an issue I am having. We used to have a website www.gazaro.com. It was a price comparison engine for consumers. A shift in the focus of the business resulted in www.360pi.com - a price intelligence tool for retailers.The two websites have similar themes, so I thought it would be valuable to pass SEO juice from the old domain to the new domain.Back in August, I noticed that Gazaro was redirected to 360pi with a meta refresh. I know a 301 redirect is preferable to a meta refresh, so we switched to a 301 redirect.Since that happened, there has been a spike in 404 errors in webmaster tools. If you hover over the url, it is actuallywww.360pi.com/deal/amazon etc etc. It is looking for gazaro urls on the 360pi domain - which don't exist. I think this is hurting our homepage ranking. Our homepage no longer ranks for "price intelligence" when it used to be in pos. 4 or 5. As it turns out, we are ranking #1 for "price intelligence" but with our product page.I'm wondering why the 404 are happening. Is something setup in correctly? With varying letters & numbers. I have 26,000 crawl errors in GWT and I can only imagine it's because this is looping?
