SSL - green padlock but Moz say there's an 804 error?
-
Hi, my site has a green padlock and no SSL errors but Moz are reporting an 804 error. I use CloudFlare with fairly complex settings.
I've read this thread but it's quite old and I don't understand which parts of it are still valid. I'd love to know whether this can be sorted before I spend hours setting up Moz's features as if they can't crawl my site then I would obviously need to cancel my subscription.
Thanks

I'm afraid that we're not able to offer temporary discounts for this issue while we work on resolving it.
I do understand if this means that you need to cancel your subscription with us, though.

Hi Tawny, thanks for your reply. I am still evaluating Moz and am disappointed not to be able to use all the functionality while this issue is being fixed. If I continue beyond the free trial, is it possible to get a temporary discount until I can use all the Pro features?
Many thanks

Hi there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble! I took a look at your Moz Pro subscription and your campaign, and it looks like this has to do with SNI compatibility on your site.Unfortunately at this time our crawler isn't compatible with Server Name Indication (SNI), which appears to be in use on your site: https://www.screencast.com/t/JVKfE92Jy5E
In general, SNI is a totally acceptable security configuration, but our crawler simply isn't equipped to be able to handle these settings. The good news is that our team has been working hard on a new crawler that will support this configuration and this crawler is currently in its Beta phase. We started this thread to keep our community updated on the progress of our new crawler. If you're interested in being a part of the beta testing, the link to the sign up page is here: http://goo.gl/forms/LCvL9Ix8JDHfbAvr1. Our team will be in contact after you've filled out that form when we are ready to add additional users into the Beta.
We will be rolling the new crawler out to all of our users once it's out of it's Beta phase, but I don't have an exact timeframe of when that will be at this time as it's still being worked on.
In the meantime, I apologize for the inconvenience and feel free to let us know at help@moz.com if you have any questions or need any additional clarification.

Why is Moz unable to crawl my site?
Was hoping someone could advise why Moz is unable to crawl my site at https://www.oceaniacruises.com **Moz was unable to crawl your site on Oct 5, 2017. **Our crawler was banned by a page on your site, either through your robots.txt, the X-Robots-Tag HTTP header, or the meta robots tag. Update these tags to allow your page and the rest of your site to be crawled. If this error is found on any page on your site, it prevents our crawler (and some search engines) from crawling the rest of your site. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
