I have blog posts on my site that don't have comments. However, I cannot find my pages in google search. Does the lack of comments on my blog posts hurt my ranking in google search?

Julie is absolutely on the money; A lack of comments on blog posts will not harm your ranking (though a lack of traffic and engagement might). Getting your content shared and linked-to is where you should focus your attention; build great content and engage within your niche/community and you'll reap the rewards. Opening your comments up to the world will see you bombarded by comment spam. If your content is engaging enough that genuine visitors feel compelled to comment then the odds are it's the kind of content they would share. If you feel you are denying them a voice by preventing access to comments, perhaps you should consider a forum?
Good luck.

I don't allow blog comments on my blog posts, and I have tons of posts that rank. It's not comments that help you rank, it's shares and more importantly links.

Blog Comment Sofware
Looking into allowing comments on a business blog: mysite.com/blog. Which is the best software to use to allow readers to leave a comment? (Use wordpress) One that will help eliminate spam. Are there some that allow you to sign in without social accounts (Facebook etc) and are there some that allow you to sign in with social accounts? Thanks

From a company perspective; would you recommend using a service like postloop to acquire additional blog comments through paying users.
I’m always hesitant when it comes to purchasing comments but it seems like a natural approach. Is this something that Google would take notice and/or frown upon? - Anything we should avoid? Any additional information would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

At what point to stop comments on a blog? Do too many comments hurt the page?
I have a page that's ranking pretty well, and driving sales. That page is starting to get 10+ comments per day and is starting to get quite long. I was wondering if there is a point where I should disable the comments? My gut tells me that people interacting with the page, and Google seeing responses with the users SHOULD be a good thing not bad. But, then I think that a majority of the content of the page is no longer the article, but the comments. All the comments are good, non spammy and directly related to the topic. People just asking questions, etc. Good engagement, I should be happy right?

What is Moz Community and Blog Commenting System Built on?
Hi, I love the Moz blog and community so I'm just curious what it is built on. Is it built on something like a bbPress or is it custom system built in-house? Thanks!

Will a comment section on my site help with seo
I have never been a fan of comment pages such as the sun http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/4783642/bruce-willis-appears-on-the-one-show-in-awkward-interview.html but i was told the other day that not only is it good for the reader but it is also good for seo and increase the number of times that google would visit the page and i would like to know if that is true. if you have added a comment section to your articles i would like to know if you have noticed any change.

Do comments count as page content, as it relates to the length of content on a page?
I understand Google likes long content, and I make all my pages at least 500 words of unique and good content. But there is something I am curious about. Do they also count comments as content? The reason I'm asking is that I'm considering creating a Q&A site, where I'd control the questions, making sure they would be good ones and not duplicates, and then have people add answers. In reality, I'd be populating most the questions as first, and most definitely supplying a very good and long answer to questions. The answers would likely be in the form of comments, with highest ranked answers at top. So, I'm wondering what Google would think of a 100 word question, with a several hundred word answer in a comment, often followed by some other comments after that. Would it be a 100 word page or a 500+ word page?
