Can’t put a finger on, what is causing 12 year domain, SEO optimized and decent link profile to rank lower than other less superior domains. I have dissected the site and link, content, etc profile using ahrefs tools, still no luck, and unfortunately they do not have a community to ask anyone opinion. Hoping someone on Moz will be able to provide me with a secondary opinion or something I obviously missing here. Looking for any constructive feedback/professional opinion with fresh look on what maybe the cause of our down rankings and what may be a cause of it. Any feedback is very much appreciated.

I agree the speed is much less, but I also have more on page aggregated data, and different layout that includes images. Don't you think now days google doesn't know that some complex sites like mine with lots of data will be heavier VS more primitive designs? Now it is a difference in philosophy, I like to provide consumers with lots of info VS making a site fast but with a limited info for consumer to absorb. I personally question myself on the amount of outgoing/internal links from that page, that might be one of the causes and a bit over optimization as James mentioned above this post.

I realize it, but your advise unfortunately is very vague and known by many. Usability, technology, visitors, linking profile, internal linking, etc. and many other things can be added to the list. But it does not answer my question, is anyone seeing something obvious, something perhaps I missed and is causing this? All the points are good, just not helping me to figure out if there is something in specific that needs to be fixed.

Thank you all for taking the time to provide your feedback. I will look into some of the points you brought up.

Lots of Google ranking factors are beyond the reach of the typical SEO toolset...
The entire area of visitor engagement, how people arrive at your site through non-search methods, and more can all be important.
I believe that Google uses these more and more every year.

Thank you James for your opinion, but I do manage some other domains and so called bad links have never caused my other domains to be down ranked in my 17 years doing it. I know it is a trend now to clean up so called bad links from domains, but I'm not seeing any effect from doing it. Just another maybe it is it? Google seems to disregard them, instead of penalize your domain. Also I did not see any warnings in my Google webmaster tools. As for over optimization, I also done a number of testings and the results are almost the same in terms of google position.

Should I optimize the login page? Will it affect the website SEO ranking?
I'm trying to resolve the site crawl issues that we have on our website. One of the links that has different issue types together is our login page. Currently we have two login pages that have the same content but different sub domains. **However I'm wondering if optimizing SEO on our login pages affects our website SEO ranking and if it's something better to do or not. ** To point out the details of the issues, the issue types that the logins pages have are "duplicate title", "duplicate content", "missing H1", "missing description", "thin content", "missing canonical tag" I'd appreciate your help, thank you!

How can I find all broken links pointing to my site?
I help manage a large website with over 20M backlinks and I want to find all of the broken ones. What would be the most efficient way to go about this besides exporting and checking each backlink's reponse code? Thank you in advance!

Lower quality new domain link vs higher quality repeat domain link
First time poster here with a dilemma that head scratching and spreadsheets can't solve! I'm trying to work out whether to focus on getting links from new domains or to nurture relationships with the bigger sites in our business and get more links. Of the two links below which does the community here think would be more valuable a signal to Google? Both would be links from within relevant text/post copy. Link 1. Site DA 30. No links currently from this domain. Link 2. Site DA 60. Many links over last 12 months already from this domain. I suspect link 1 but given the enormous disparity in ranking power am I correct?! Thanks for any considered opinions out there! Matthew

Domain Authority: 23, Page Authority: 33, Can My Site Still Rank?
Greetings: Our New York City commercial real estate site is www.nyc-officespace-leader.com. Key MOZ metric are as follows: Domain Authority: 23
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Kingalan1
Page Authority: 33
28 Root Domains linking to the site
179 Total Links. In the last six months domain authority, page authority, domains linking to the site have declined. We have focused on removing duplicate content and low quality links which may have had a negative impact on the above metrics. Our ranking has dropped greatly in the last two months. Could it be due to the above metrics? These numbers seem pretty bad. How can I reverse without engaging in any black hat behavior that could work against me in the future? Ideas?

More authority back links but lower MozRank than competitor
Hi All, I have a basic understanding of SEO and the various factors that contribute to higher search rankings. This question is specifically related to MozRank, which I understand to be defined as: Pages earn MozRank by the number and quality of other pages that link to them. The higher the quality of the incoming links, the higher the MozRank. In my case, I am wondering if somebody could explain to me why I have a lower MozRank score than my competitor when I have both: Larger number of followable inbound links to my siteAND Of my larger number of followable inbound links, the page authority (and domain authority) of these links are greater than the page/domain authority of the lower number of links to my competitor's site. I have attached 3 images to help explain my points.

Old links showing on new domain
Last year we incurred a Google penalty and after months of trying the clean up the link profile with no joy we relaunched the site with a .org rather than .co.uk Now the issue is that 2 weeks after the launch GWMT is showing all the old links pointing to the new url. We didn't do a redirect of any kind, just changed the url Why is this????

Stability in the rankings - Domain mapping
Tues domain mapping of multiple (more than 180) urls to a single address can harm rankeamento these urls? I have the following scenario… Mapping domain addresses: www.meusitecidade01.com www.meusitecidade02.com www.meusitecidade03.com ... www.meusitecidade181.com to: www.meusite.com where I have a index.php page which will assemble according to the url mapped. This could be hurting my SEO in any way? There has been a lot of stability in the rankings (not google dance) some of these urls for some keywords and unique pecularidade see that, relative to other site, is the above scenario.
