The best Certification for Marketers
-
I have been working on Digital Marketing for long time ago,
most of the knowledge that I have I learned by myself, researching, testing, asking, participating in communities like this one.But is time to go up to next level. Im not a Guru but definitely I'm not a newbie and I have been looking for the best, course and certfications on this fields
Some ones are mandatory
- Google Analytics > Data Analytics
- Facebook Blue Print > Data Analytics
- Google Adwords > PPC
But I'm looking for an Independent Organization who can validate my knowledge, time ago I read on Envato
"6 Professional Certifications for Freelancers", The American Marketing Association (AMA)
is that type of independent source. The OMPC look the same as AMA and then a lot of question comes to my mind
And I want to hear opinions of others marketers about it?
Are they relevant?
Which has better recognition?
The people (who can hire me) will see useful those Certifications? As I see I have to invest money, time and a lot of effor so I wonder to know
which one is the best option. -
Yes I know and I get your point, I never went to any university, school or even a simple course, and never get any client based on a certification. So Im agree with you on that
But that is not my point, my point is I want to grow and looking for the best way to do it. That is why I'm asking.
The idea of a Certification is not invented by me or any other marketer, was made it by the companies.
Google certifies both companies and individuals.
Premier Partner is not the same as a Partner.Microsoft is the same case,It certifies both companies and individuals.
Bing, Azure, DevelopersCisco, Sap or Oracle are even worst, you will not sell any product of them if you don't have a complete team tranined by them no matter how many experience you claim you already have.
Hubspot, Optimizely, Shopify, Amazon
So getting back to my point
AMA or OMCP
are relevant in the industry? yes or not and why?Are those relevant for any decision maker?
I mean if an HR Manager is looking for a Marketer will use those certifications as a factor. In case that none certification or course is useful, which strategy should I follow, in order to outstand over competitors?
Don't come to me with the idea of
Create a personal website, with a really good content, create a link building campaign and outreach.....hahahahahah don't make me laugh is the same thing everyone can do with a tutorial on Lynda or Udemy -
Marketers tend to think that they need to exhibit their "marketing expertise" by acquiring multiple certifications, accreditations, etc. within the marketing industry. However, in some cases, they might be better served by earning proof of their expertise within the clients' industries, many of which have their own certifications, accreditations, etc.
It is easy for a potential client to be put off by a marketer. They are spammed by marketers every freeking day. But, that same client might be impressed by a person who has earned respectable credentials in the industry where he is working. Finally a marketer who knows wtf he is talking about.

Community Discussion - How can we apply the skills we have as marketers in new, creative ways?
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful week! This week's discussion question comes from Tuesday's (December 😎 blog post by John-Henry Scherck, The Step-by-Step Guide to Turning Link Prospectors into Lead Generators. From the post: "Digital marketing is a pretty introverted industry. This tends to make us a bit hesitant to embrace sales and outbound selling. There’s no beating around the bush: Sales can be difficult, scary, uncomfortable, and awkward — but if you want to grow your client base, it may require getting out of your comfort zone." John-Henry shows us the opportunity for people who are good at link prospecting to apply those skills to lead generation, improving business opportunities by creatively using the skills they already have. SEOs and marketers wear many hats, and have a diverse skill set at their disposal—how else can we apply the skills we already have in creative ways?

If someone was brand new at all of marketing, where would you send them to get educated?
If someone had no marketing education, where would you send them to get a thorough education covering all aspects of marketing/advertising? Would you say you have to go to school for that? Would you recommend an online course set from CMI or MarketingProfs? If so, which one? Thank you 🙂

Best Site or Place to Hire Mid Level SEO Specialists
Hello Mozzers, Our digital agency has been continuously growing which is a good thing BUT recruiting for Junior or Mid Level SEO Specialists is getting harder in our area (we are in Orlando Florida). We post on Indeed.com but the level of knowledge and also the amount of candidates is not a lot. Do you know any other site that only pertains to our industry? Any suggestions? In fact, its been hard , we are even thinking of developing a job board site just for our niche. Your recommendation and thoughts?

Best SEO way to implement multi language store
Hi, I have a magento 1.7 multilanguage store with the following structure: www.example.com/nl and www.example.com (Dutch) www.example.com/uk (English) www.example.com/de (German) As you can see the dutch language basically has two url and this gives problems according to Roger. Both urls show the same page and therefor duplicate content. Should i 301 www.example.com to www.example.com/nl ?

And would this not cause problems with the indexing because www.example.com is shown when searching for my keywords. I need to have all three languages to be indexed good and used only for the correct countries.0 -
