When do my links show up?
-
For the last two weeks I have been working on linkbuilding. I have downloaded competitors link reports and started contacting or submitting links. In the last two weeks I have gotten about 50-60 or so. In the newest report it shows I went up four c-blocks. Why is that? It is kind of discouraging.

I'm nerdy so I download a CSV after every update & keep track of them in a big ol' spreadsheet

I don't use any other tools currently. Knowing it can take awhile makes me feel a little better. Is there a feature that lets you know what is new since the last scan?

Hi Niners
Are you referring to links in your OSE report?
Unfortunately the way in which Mozscape crawls the web means that not all web pages are added into the database.
The other reason is that your links are too new. It normally takes a good 4-6 weeks for SEOmoz to find the latest links to your website - although they are getting quicker at finding new links.
Have you access to any other link analysis packages such as MajesticSEO or ahrefs? It's better to have access to as many link reporting tools as possible to make sure all your links are being reported.
If you know the pages you have obtained links from are indexed by Google then that is a good indicator they have been discovered.

Back link from site with DA of 72 to a website domain. Clicking on the link redirects to our website not the attended one.
Hi,
Link Building | | JIMBO16
I've ran a back link check and discovered a good back link to a site which then gets redirected back to my company's website. I have a feeling that an old SEO agency has purchased a small website which has a decent link back from a relevant organisation with a high Domain authority and then redirects the domain to our website to get the link juice. What are your thought on this? Is this really bad practise and possibly damaging? Thanks, Jim0 -
Links not showing
Hi, we have been putting links to our website www.caffeinemarketing.co.uk from other sites we are connected to. Although these sites are up and running and have been crawled, the links are not showing up on mot. What else do I need to do? Is it anything to do with whether I put http://www. or just www. Please can someone advise.

What is a good ratio of total links to linking root domains?
Is 100 total links for every linking domain too high? I suppose I could also look at ratios of sites that are doing well in the rankings.

Link Management Software
Hi everyone, I'm new to SEOMoz Pro, but have been reading articles on this website forever! I'm looking for a software to help me organize links I've built, including (genuine) comments I've posted on blogs, forums, links from directories, articles or other websites. I'm not talking about automated directory submission software or some other shady submission software. All I need is a software that could help me organize all these links and check if the link is still there from time to time. One of the feature I'd like to have is the ability to retrieve page related information such as domain age, PR, incoming links on page, outgoing links on page and the theme relevance of each of these links. Any good recommendation?

What is the difference between external followed links and internal followed links.
I have almost 3,000 external links followed and only a tiny amount of internal followed links. My website is doing really badly on google at the mo. I am also an SEO beginner and learning new stuff every day, but am not sure exactly what the difference is! Thanks!

What are the pros and cons of using a link builder? Can link building be outsourced?
Hi, I have great content on my website which I would like to build external links to from other websites. I am told this will increase my domain authority and ultimately help search engine ranking positions. I have very limited time in my hands and now thinking of outsourcing the link building component to a specialist. Is this a good way of doing it? Could you recommend professional link builders?
