Duplicate Titles being shown for rel=prev / next paginated pages
-
Hello
My duplicate titles report is full of paginated pages eg
www.roger-bot.com/rogers-diary/sites-ive-crawled
www.roger-bot.com/rogers-diary/sites-ive-crawled?p2
www.roger-bot.com/rogers-diary/sites-ive-crawled?p3
www.roger-bot.com/rogers-diary/sites-ive-crawled?p4
www.roger-bot.com/rogers-diary/sites-ive-crawled?p5
www.roger-bot.com/rogers-diary/sites-ive-crawled?p6This would create 5 duplicate titles in the moz report
Is there a quick way to filter these out?

Thanks for your response. Blocking Roger-bot looks like it might be a good idea. Will this affect the DA calculation?

Hi Andrew!
Thanks so much for the great question! When it comes to duplicate titles being flagged in your Site Crawl report, our tool is designed to only flag titles that are an exact match. We won't flag any pages that have only a partial match or that have just a bit of overlapping.
As far as filtering them out of your Site Crawl report, I would recommend using the search bar at the top of your Site Crawl section to search for pages with pagination in the URL. You can use this search part to search/filter by complete URL or partial URL. Once you've sorted and/or filtered out these pages, you can ignore those issues if it's not within your SEO efforts to update those titles. That way they don't end up being flagged with each additional crawl. You can also unignore issues at any time if you decide you want to work on these at a later date.
If you don't want rogerbot to crawl these paginated pages at all, you can block him from those pages using a disallow directive in your robots.txt file, as well, which may be an option for you depending on your SEO and overall site strategy.
If you'd like us to look into this further and provide more feedback and/or troubleshooting tips, feel free to send an email on over to help@moz.com with some examples of the pages you're working with and we'll be sure to look into it!

I've just found the same problem with my Wordpress site. The answer is to add the %%page%% variable to the page title field so the pages then appear with their own number rather than as a duplicate page. This explains it a bit more:

Hope this helps!

Localized pages with hreflang markup being reported by Moz as duplicate content
We have 5 websites, each targeted at a different geography. They are all in English, but targeted per country (e.g. US, Canada, UK, Australia). And we've properly implemented hreflang tags on each page, with the US site being the x-default, and with each country-specific page having a self-referencing hreflang tag as well as individual hreflang tags pointing to the other country-specific versions. All seems to be working properly with the search engines. But, each week in our Moz Pro campaigns, Moz reports the pages as "duplicate content". It seems that Moz does not regard the hreflang tags when deciding if content is duplicate or not. I'm not 100% sure that's what's causing Moz to report them as duplicate, but it's my best guess. To date, I've been marking these as "ignore". But, that creates two problems. First, we have new pages all the time, and so this gets to be laborious. Second, it makes it somewhat likely we might miss a real duplicate content issue. Can someone confirm whether Moz should be looking at hreflang tags before considering pages as dupliacte? And possibly offer any suggestions to us if Moz doesn't do that?

Mozbot IP / reverse DNS
Hi, due to security measures (which i imagine a lot of enterprise clients are starting to use now) we're very restrictive of automated traffic coming to our websites... however we're also blocking the mozbot. Will Moz have a fixed IP address/range or reverseDNS look up approach that can be used in the future? thanks!

Can I track Page Authority on a custom report?
I'm trying to set up a custom report that will track my e-commerce website's authority. I've already added the Domain Authority module, but I can't find a Page Authority module. (There are options to track the page score or grade, but this appears to be very different from Page Authority--whereas Page Authority is a holistic score, page score/grade seems to focus only on page content.) Is it possible to track Page Authority on a custom report? If possible, I'd like to track the following pages: Page Authority of my homepage, compared to my competitors' homepages Page Authority of each of my 4 product pages, compared to my competitors' product pages

In Moz's Keyword Explorer/Explore By Site, Can I Exclude a Keyword From the Results?
Hypothetical question - Let's say I sell tax preparation software and I want to see the keywords that "turbotax.com" ranks highest for. Based on that list I might want to optimize for similar keywords on my site. But if I use Keyword Explorer, select "Root Domain", and enter "turbotax.com" as the root domain, the first 200 or so keywords in the list have the word "turbo". None of those interest me. Can I exclude certain keywords (like "turbo") from the list? Thanks.
