Does a domain that has migrated or expired that points to my site affect my backlink profile.
-
I'm new to backlink auditing and I'm certain that the website in question is a link directory anyway. It's spam score isn't high, so in theory it looks okay but in actual fact the webhosting has expired.
How badly do these types of broken inbound links affect my site?

if the domain expired, then there wouldn't be a backlink to your website (Moz's index might just be out of date for that backlink). if thats the case, no need to worry about it.

Do citations count as backlinks?
Hello, So I may have a simple question- do citations such as yp and manta for an example count as backlinks? So if they do, would this be a natural link so good for seo? or a citation where it may be a backlink, but not very helpful for seo backlink profile? Thank you to all

Link profile clean up
Hello everyone, we are actively working on cleaning the backlink profile of some of our sites. But I am confused on what needs to be done. Now it's possible to find some toxic or deadly domain where our site has been linked from without our approval, but if we remove all those sites, and may be all the site that have a poor domain authority and/or no PR rank (< 1), our profile will look too clean don't you think? . My questions are : If we over clean our profile are we not manipulating our links, so Google will not like it? Is a natural profile will not be a mix of all those domains (poor and good quality)? We are trying to see what to keep or try to get deleted/disavow, so we could try to claim some of our lost ranking back 🙂 Thanks for your help on this, Cheers, Mounir

Why is my domain authority 1?
Hello all, I have my own MMA news website which I started almost two years ago. After getting a Seomoz account I noticed that my domain authority for this website (www.mmaplanet.nl) is 1! All my other websites have 'normal' domain authority. Does someone know what might be the problem here? Thanks in advance!

Backlinks not showing up
I've been noticing that not all links that a website obtains are showing up as a backlink. For example, the following page has a link to a website (**www.pwgglaw.com)**at the bottom of the page. http://www.ocbar.org/AllNews/NewsView/tabid/66/smid/384/ArticleID/564/Default.aspx I went to opensiteexplorer and typed in pwgglaw.com and it didn't list the ocbar.org as a backlink. Is this right? If not, then how do you force the link from ocbar.org to show up as a backlink?
