I want to use a photo from an official website for my own website.IF YES HOW?

Lets suppose i downloaded a photo from a XYZ website and want to use it on my own website, and also i want to rank for same keyword, and would like to rank just below XYZ site,
i know there could be copyright issue. what can be done to avoid this issue.
Can i manipulate the picture in a such way that it is usable. if yes how?
How can i use that official websites picture for my website, i mean, can i cite that website as a source?
what is the best practice in this case?
i dont want to use stock photo,i really like xyz sites pics.

It's another thread in where he asks for the same thing; alter photo's without leaving a source or copyright credit. I really woud'nt do that if i was you. There's severe penalty's if you do that and the owner might decide to bring you up to court. You might get away with 1 to 5 photo's but if they have you on their list and your having up to 30 photo's a year later you might be getting into serious stuff.

The image is property of XYZ company. If you want to use it you will need to contact them for permission. Or offer to pay them a license fee. Or do whatever they ask in exchange for its use.
Many images are not available for use by anyone no matter how much you offer to pay.
Using images belonging to another company can result in civil or criminal liability. If you willfully use an image, knowing that you are not entitled to use it, you can be liable for damages of up to $150,000 per image.

Lots of people steal my images. We file DMCA claims with Google search, complain to Google Adsense, and complain to hosting companies. Those complaints result in images and the pages where they appear being blocked from search, removed from servers, or Adsense being turned off on those pages or on the entire website. Those are easy for a copyright owner to accomplish. If repeated infringement occurs, I have an attorney who is ready to file formal complaints. We have done these things hundreds of times.
So, get permission, use a stock photo, get a camera and take your own photos. We spend thousands of dollars every month on images and will do what we need to do to protect our property.

Local business with two separate websites...what to do?
Hey Mozzers! I have a client that I'm helping with some online ad campaigns for lead generation, but they recently had an SEO issue pop up I'm looking into for them. For whatever reason, they have 2 websites. Those are: http://www.healthsourceofroyalpalmbeach.com/ (newer site) http://www.healthsourcedecompression.com/ (older site) Their local listing is connected to the older site (above) and that's where they have all of their reviews. I know the BEST solution is probably to nix one of the sites and setup proper redirects, but how can they keep BOTH sites without damaging their SEO efforts? Currently, BOTH sites rank on page one for their primary kw target "chiropractors royal palm beach fl" Appreciate the help! Ricky

What is the best text font for health website

Interlinking multiple websites
Most websites (for example) Zalando intern link there other CC tld domains to the root. For example: On http://www.zalando.nl/damesschoenen-pumps/ the links in the footer go to the other CC tld's: http://www.zalando.es , zalando.co.uk etc. Does anyone have experience with the fact if you would interlink to the relevant page on the other CC tld;s.

Website layout for a new website [Over 50 Pages & targeting Long Tail Keywords]
Hey everyone, We are designing a new website with over 50 pages and I have a question regarding the layout. Should I target my long tail keywords via blog pages? It will be easier to manage and list and link out to similar articles related to my long tail keywords using a word press blog. For this example - lets suppose the website is www.orange.com and we sells 'Oranges' Am I going about this in the right way? Main Section: Main Section 1 : Home Page - Keyword Targeted - Orange Main Section 2 : Important Conversion page - 'Buy oranges' Long Tail Keyword (LTK) 1: www.orange.com/blog/LTK1 Subsection(SS): www.orange.com/blog/LTK1/SS1 www.orange.com/blog/LTK1/SS1a www.orange.com/blog/LTK1/SS1b Long Tail Keyword (LTK) 2: www.orange.com/blog/LTK2 Long Tail Keyword (LTK) 3: www.orange.com/blog/LTK3 Subsection(SS): www.orange.com/blog/LTK1/SS3 www.orange.com/blog/LTK1/SS3a www.orange.com/blog/LTK1/SS3b All these long tail pages and sub sections under them are built specifically for hosting content that targets these specific long tail keywords. Most of my traffic will come initially via the sub section pages - and it is important for me to rank well for these terms initially. _E.g. if someone searches for the keyword 'SS3b' on Google - my corresponding page www.orange.com/blog/LTK1/SS3b should rank well on the results page. _ For ranking purposes - will using this blog/category structure hurt or benefit me? Instead do you think I should build static pages? Free Directories - Yes or No?
Clearly, we see that high authority directories like Dmoz.Org are effective, even if this big monster is practically dead because of how unresponsive it is. What about other free directories? Is it worth obtaining as many listings as possible in the free directories? what about the paid ones? Is this still good SEO strategy if the directories have at least a PR3-4 or many cases higher? I'm asking this for an established site, so I understand that it won't help for deep-linking and anchor text, but will it help anyway to get links from these? All page files in root? Or to use directories?
We have thousands of pages on our website; news articles, forum topics, download pages... etc - and at present they all reside in the root of the domain /. For example: /aosta-valley-i6816.html

/forums/what-is-best-addon-t3360.html Would we have any benefit in using directories for SEO purposes? Would our current system perhaps mean too many files in the root / flagging as spammy? Would it be even better to use the following system which removes file endings completely and suggests each page is a directory: /images/aosta-valley/6816/
