Why did Moz crawl our development site?

In our Moz Pro account we have one campaign set up to track our main domain. This week Moz threw up around 400 new crawl errors, 99% of which were meta noindex issues.
What happened was that somehow Moz found the development/staging site and decided to crawl that. I have no idea how it was able to do this - the robots.txt is set to disallow all and there is password protection on the site. It looks like Moz ignored the robots.txt, but I still don't have any idea how it was able to do a crawl - it should have received a 401 Forbidden and not gone any further.
How do I a) clean this up without going through and manually ignoring each issue, and b) stop this from happening again?

@multitimemachine a noindex tag only really applied to Bing/Google other crawlers etc.. You said you blocked (via wildcard) all robots, are you sure you've not gotten e.g. meta robots that might be different?
help@moz.com might be your best bet for a quick resolution for 'cleaning' the report though I'm still slightly lost as to how your main domain and dev/staging were confused as normally there is a subdomain in the way from my experience, even stranger as bots can't by-pass passwords unless it's your sitemap.xml?sorry I can't get you a direct response but without seeing the site or similar it's hard to diagnose though I'm sure the team at Moz can point you in the right direction .

Hoe to crawl specific subfolders
I tried to create a campaign to crawl the subfolders of my site, but it stops at just 1 folder. Basically what I want to do is crawl everything after folder1: www.domain.com/web/folder1/* I tried to create 2 campaigns: Subfolder Campaign 1: www.domain.com/web/folder1/*

1 page crawled - again
Just had to let you know that it happend again. So right now we are at 2 out of the last 4 crawls. Uptime here is 99,8% for the last 30 days, with a small downtime due to an update process at the 18/5 from around 2:30 to 4:30 GMT In relation to: http://moz.com/community/q/1-page-crawled-and-other-errors

What do you use for site audit
What tools do you use for conducting a site audit? I need to do an audit on a site and the seomoz web crawler and on page optimization will takes days if not a full week to return any results. In past Ive used other tools that I could run on the fly and they would return broken links, missing htags, keyword density, server information and more. Curious as to what you all use and what you may recommend to use in conjunction with the moz tools.

Settings to crawl entire site
Not sure what happened but I started a third campaign yesterday and only 1 pages was crawled, The other two campaigns has 472 and 10K respectively. What is the proper setting to choose in the beginning of campaign setup to have the entire site crawled. Not sure what I did different and I must be reading the instructions incorrectly. Thanks, Don

Why do some of my sites stop showing up as ranking on SEO Moz (listed as not in top 50) when in google ranks they are top five?
Okay - so i have several campaigns. And of these campaigns, about four or five of them no longer show up as ranking after several weekly crawls by SEOMoz... Not sure why the line on the chart just stops when they are ranking in top 5 for google organics am confused by this can you help me do what i need to do so that the seobot can read my pages and save me time on checking where i rank - thanks Creative Guy

Any SEO moz users notice a HUGE change in OSE (Open Site Explorer) link data numbers?
Hi All, I am having some serious concern with OSE data recently for numerous clients, one client I want to talk about today has the following data from OSE for the month of August 2011 compared with July 2011: Total links to the domain: (decrease of around 100,000+)

External Followed links: (decrease by around 5,000)
**Linking Root domains: (decrease of over 60) ** The crazy thing is that the domain authority has actually gone up by around 5 points for this client even though every thing has suddenly gone down? Also funny thing is we have been link building quite strong for this client over the last 12 months using only high quality sources from out niche. I am worried that their is serious issues with the data, I realise we saw some updates to OSE recently yet I am suprised it can be this drastic. Kind Regards. PSV1
