Advice needed on making some pages more relevant...

Hello - and sorry to bother you all.
I am learning on my feet with SEO, but gradually getting there. I have started a directory for musical instruments and need to make the profile pages for dealers as relevant as possible (their instruments are doing well, but profile views less so). The following link is an example.

We are putting in a search box to help with functionality, but if any one can give me an idea how to make these profiles super then I would be enormously grateful!

Hi James, first of all you're not bothering here that's the purpose of any community I think,share experience and thoughts!
about profiles I think that the way to make users interact with them is to enhance integration with social media is highly helpful. Link to their g+ and facebook profiles will help them to easily access them with their facebook login so to not haveing to register from zero with you and ease the way they'll adding content to them.

Should I remove backlink from templated page?
Hi, I manage 2 websites; website A and website B. Both websites are hosted on the same webserver. Website A is significantly more established than Website B with a better domain authority and much netter keyword rankings. I have a backlink from website A to Website B. The link is do-follow and is in a sidebar template that appears on just about every page of website A. Also, this template is used in nearly all of the subdomains of website A for a total of 1,362 pages. It occurs to me that Google might see this as unnatural. I am considering removing this link from the template and adding it to the content of the landing page so that we have only one link from Website A to Website B. It seems rational to me but I'd like a second opinion, please. Thanks in advance.

Blog Co-Op - Purchasing Links in Relevant Blogs
Hello, Our SEO company has recommended participating in a blog co-op, where we can purchase a link on a relevant blog, either submitting our own content or letting them find relevant anchor text in an article on their site and adding a link back to us. Links are running $40 - 100 based on Page Rank of the blog. I realize that it is BETTER not to buy a link, but is this going to hurt us if the blog content is relevant to our industry?

Do you need a place to ditch bad links?
This is not a question as such, more a gift 🙂 I have registered a domain name to ditch bad links. For example, let's pretend I have a page on my site: www.mydomain.com/viagra and have never done any good SEO to promote this page, just a load of spammy directory links. The page used to rank for Viagra but then Google took manual action and I lost my ranking. Booo! Now the page is of no use to me until I get all these links removed and the manual action revoked. Even then, I'll be starting from scratch re-building good links to the page. Here's another option, simply re-direct the url to badlinksbin.com and say goodbye to all those spammy links. This bypasses the lengthy link removal process. Warning: I wouldn't recommend using this method if you have some good links in the mix, unless you can contact the site owners and get the links changed. And, don't forget to change the name of the url first so the Viagra page still exists on your site. As I've already set this up, I thought no harm sharing it and letting you guys use it too. I hope it helps some people.

Hi guys, If I found a low quality or spam link pointing to my site, but the link points to a 404, 500, etc (inaccessible, error page), Should I bother asking him to remove the link? Thanks

Off page SEO
Our off-page SEO efforts include the following minimum on a monthly basis. Can anyone help with the relative merits of these, which are useful, which aren't and whether for instance you would substitute more of one for less of another? How to out rank well with category page for high competitive keyword?
This is really silly question to ask over here! But, I have to drop my mind bubble after long R & D and efforts! Right now, I am working on Patio Umbrellas keyword and want to out rank with following landing page. http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas I have implemented too many ways on this page since January 2012. Right now, my website is in top 20 position with this keyword. I want to achieve top 10 ranking with Patio Umbrellas keyword. Now, I have certain limitation to make changes on web page. This is client requirement. So, I have to drill down more with link building. I have started work on link building on since February 2012 and rank well with keyword. Now, I'm searching for link building way which help me to improve ranking in short time frame. I don't want to do any single activity on this page which is UN-productive for me. Would be interested on some perspectives on link relevancy versus page and domain authority in terms of importance for SERP. How important is the relevance of the site linking back compared to the page and domain authority of that site
