Unsolved Why Links Overview is showing '0' "Internal, followed links" when we have many?
-
Hi,
Our site is showing '0' internal links on Links Overview when all other metrics appear to be updating correctly.
Any idea why might this be happening?
Or are there any issues with the MOZ getting the data from our site when it does a crawl?
-
Hi, when did you add the internal links? If its only a day or say ago, it could be a delay between when say Googlebot or an SEO tool spots you've added internal links, to improve your on-page SEO- hope this helps, check back say 2- weeks later, and they are likely to have been indexed by the SEO tool.
-
The Links Overview is not accurately reflecting internal followed links due to various reasons such as indexing issues or data processing delays. You may want to verify the integrity of your internal linking outcome status structure and ensure proper indexing of your website's pages. Additionally, it could be helpful to review any recent changes or updates that might have affected the link count.

Hey there, sorry to hear about the issue. It could be a temporary glitch with the MOZ crawl. Double-check your site's robots.txt file to ensure it's not blocking MOZ Unlimited Coins. If the problem persists, reaching out to MOZ support might provide insights or assistance. It's always good to verify if your internal links are accessible and crawlable. Hope you get it resolved soon!

@Chris_Mc make sure you have indexed the page on the search console which you are trying to rank.

Why would a site (competitor) show up in Keyword SERPs Analysis but not show up in Rank Tracker for the same keyword?
I used Rank Tracker to evaluate a specific site for "geofencing software" - the result was "not in the top 50." However, if I go to Keyword SERP analysis and put in the same keyword "geofencing software," it shows the specific site within the first page results in SERP. I verified the ranking with a google search of my own and the site does show in the first page results. Why is Rank Tracker not matching Keyword SERP results?

The New Link Explorer (which will replace Open Site Explorer) is Now in Beta
Howdy Moz friends, Today, the Moz team is making a new tool -- Link Explorer -- available in private beta for Moz Pro subscribers (including those taking a free trial). The tool is still a little ways out from public launch, but we wanted to get your feedback to help make it the best product it can be. What's Link Explorer? In essence, it's a replacement for Open Site Explorer (Moz's tool for link discovery, competitive analysis, and link building) that addresses many of its most pernicious challenges, such as: Daily updates - no longer will you need to wait a month or two to see a new DA score or the links you built last week. Link Explorer updates every 24 hours with all the new links we've discovered that day, and gives a new DA score each night. A MUCH bigger index - OSE has always been known for having quality links, but quantity has been an issue. No longer. The new tool's link index is more than 20 times larger than Open Site Explorer's, covering trillions of links across hundreds of billions of pages, while maintaining a focus on high quality domains and pages. Additional functionality - new graphs (like link growth over time), new charts (like gained+lost links), new filters and sorts, and some new kinds of data coming soon. Improved metrics - Domain Authority and Page Authority have both been upgraded to have better correlations with Google's rankings (and they now update every 24 hours) Insanely fast - page load times on the new tool are almost as fast as Google's results 🙂 Less time waiting means more time to dig into results Link Tracking Lists - check a box next to any links of interest and you can build lists in the tool to track them over time, see whether/when they link, prioritize your outreach efforts, and (in the future) get aggregated data and alerts about those links There's much more to come, but we'd love for you to check out Link Explorer, find bugs, report things you love (and don't), and help us make it the best possible product for you and your teams. You can leave feedback here in this Q+A thread, email help@moz.com, or send feedback through the feedback form in Link Explorer.

Open Site Explorer -> Just Discovered -> Internal Links: Only shown 1 url link per day
Hi, We have a page that have like 10-15 new content/pages per day.
Link Explorer | | Inspiringinterns
eg. domain.com/post-id-01/, omain.com/post-id-02/, omain.com/post-id-03/ etc
But somehow, under Just-Discovered, internal links only show 1 per day when it suppose to display like 10-15.
The layout for each pages is exact same except for the content changes and the url's ID changes. Our competitor on the other hand, they have like 5 new page per day, but somehow Moz shows their internal links as 25 per days. Each of their new url have 4 more prefix number.
Eg:
new-page-01?track=990
new-page-01?track=991
new-page-01?track=992 etc
The above example url is technically as 1 page if without the "?" affix. Whiles all our new pages/url have unique id, but Moz only show 1 a day. Please advise on how to get Moz to shows all the new pages in Just-Discovered (internal link). Thanks, Cam0 -

Just Discovered Links not appearing in main index
Hi Around October, November (and ongoing since then) we had some links appear in the "just discovered" index of OSE, and yet they've never made it into the main list of domains linking to the website. We have amassed quite a few links from various domains that seem to get picked up in "Just Discovered", but not by the standard list of links to our site Is there any reason for this?

Why do links from UCAS to London South Bank University not get reported as external links
Links on the following page at UCAS http://search.ucas.com/provider/1504/london-south-bank-university?Vac=1&AvailableIn=2015&ProviderQuery=london south bank university&ret=providers do not appear to be listed as external links in Open Site Explorer reports. For example there is a link on the UCAS page to http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/schools-departments . But when I check the Open Site Explorer report for http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/schools-departments no link from UCAS is recorded.

Why won't Open Site Explorer detect inbound links from big name websites?
I understand smaller, spammy sites woudn't get indexed, but some of the websites linking to mine have high domain authorities. The website is a parked subdomain.

External link numbers down year on year
Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows why a website that has definitely had some links acquired over the last year would now show less links and from fewer referring domains than they had this time last year? How is that possible - assume it is down to the way OSE / Moz crawl the web and collect data but need a definitive explanation for a client that has noticed the drop in link metrics and as a result authority. Many thanks,
