Noindex for tags in wordpress
-
Hello everybody.
I marked all of my tags in a WordPress site as "noindex, follow". Because my tags were made a lot of low-quality pages.
Am I did it right?
my website is: https://injazanoonas.ir

Sometimes, when a WordPress website is being designed, whether it is an e-commerce or a brochure website, the web designers might write a no index code. This needs to be removed if you want to get that page indexed

@dannybaldwin tag and tag pages aren't worth much in the eyes of google. So it's fine to noindex them (you want to use "noindex, nofollow"). Just ensure Google/Bing can find pages that provide value to users and that you build internal links pointing to these pages.

if your company website can't get crawled and indexed, it will not appear on Google,
so this does needs to be fixed.
We saw this with a company selling luxury summerhouses, and if say pages, blog posts cant get indexed, then can negatively affect the seo.

yes, but now go the complete way. Get rid of the links to these tags, because you link to stuff you don't want to index, is low quality and i bet not used. Why sent google there every time?
If they are used you may change your opinion and do something different with the tags - but I saw them and the links, they are not in use i bet.

Best Wordpress theme for blogging
Hi all, What is the best Wordpress theme for a professional DM blog? I am looking for something minimalistic where I can add my personal profile and have articles nicely listed, potentially grouped within categories. Any ideas? Thanks. Katarina

Wordpress Overly Dynamic URLs
Moz is giving me an overly dynamic URL warning for around 30 or so of these on our blog. http://blog.domain.com/?page=products&do=domain-com-looks-like-a-blog-title I have no idea what's causing this, we have the permalinks set up for category/post and are running yoast. Anyone have any idea what it is? And how can I stop them being crawled. They link to the blog homepage when clicked, which is set to canonical in the head so it shouldn't do any harm - but i'd like to remove them all the same. Will /Disallow /?=page work in robots.txt?

Opinions for the Long URL strings in WordPress Blogs.
We use Wordpress for our agency Blogs. The URL's are very long and the Moz does not like the long URL's. Should we use the stubby, short Wordpress URL's for each blog post? Is there a "Best Practice" for how one should use the Wordpress URL string?

Meta Title and Description Placement in Wordpress
I noticed in wordpress code that the <title>and <description> are not at the top of the code and rather located a ways down the code and not displayed how previous sites used to be.</p> <p>Does this still matter for SEO.</p> <p>I thought it should have been,</p> <div id="syn_row5" class="SYN_TXT"><span class="HTML_TXT"><span class="HTML_TAG"><<span class="HTML_ELM">title</span>></span><span class="HTML_TAG"></<span class="HTML_ELM">title</span>></span></span></div> <div class="SYN_ROW"> <div id="syn_row6" class="SYN_TXT"><span class="HTML_TXT"><span class="HTML_TAG"><<span class="HTML_ELM">meta</span> <span class="HTML_ATR">name</span>=<span class="HTML_VAL">"Description"</span> <span class="HTML_ATR">content</span>=<span class="HTML_VAL">""</span> /></span></span></div> <div class="SYN_TXT"><span class="HTML_TXT"><span class="HTML_TAG"> <div id="syn_row6" class="SYN_TXT"><span class="HTML_TXT"><span class="HTML_TAG"><<span class="HTML_ELM">meta</span> <span class="HTML_ATR">name</span>=<span class="HTML_VAL">"Keywords"</span> <span class="HTML_ATR">content</span>=<span class="HTML_VAL">""</span> /> (if still needed ?)</span></span></div> <div class="SYN_TXT"><span class="HTML_TXT"><span class="HTML_TAG"><span class="HTML_TXT"><span class="HTML_TAG"> </span></span></span></span></div> <div class="SYN_TXT"><span class="HTML_TXT"><span class="HTML_TAG"><span class="HTML_TXT"><span class="HTML_TAG"><span class="HTML_TXT"><span class="HTML_TAG">Is there a way to do this in Wordpress? Please help me stop google indexing https pages on my wordpress site
I added SSL to my wordpress blog because that was the only way to get a dedicated IP address for my site at my host. Now I am noticing Google has started indexing posts both as http and https. Can some one please help how to force google not to index https as I am sure its like having duplicate content. All help is appreciated. So far I have added this to top of htaccess file: RewriteEngine on Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} ^443$ RewriteRule ^robots.txt$ robots_ssl.txt And added robots_ssl.txt with following: User-agent: Googlebot Disallow: / User-agent: * Disallow: / But https pages are still being indexed. Please help.

Duplicate Content on WordPress Blogs?
We are getting ready to add a WordPress blog to our established website. Our plans are to place it in a subfolder on our website to maximize rank. My question is...Do we need to utilize a Meta Robots WordPress plugin by Yoast or similar so that noindex, follow robots meta tags will prevent search engine indexing of search result pages, subpages and category archives? We want to avoid the dreaded Duplicate Content Error and penalty. Any other great SEO WordPress plugins? Thank you for your time. Brian
