Is there a good local competitive analysis tool for the UK
-
Hello Mozers
I have learnt from the forum about the competitive analysis tool http://www.51blocks.com/online-marketing-tools/free-local-analysis/ and followed the link - only to find that it is for the US. I'm in the UK and need to access this for google.uk - does anyone know of a UK equivalent?
Could I also check with the forum to ask the question that got me into this in the first place. It's probably a daft question. For the Ranking report in Moz, do I just need to put the local city name in front of the keyword to get the local rank. I have been doing this and assuming it's ok, and my local ranking does show up.
Thanks
Catherine

Hi there!
Great to hear that you are focusing a bit on the local side for your rankings. In order to point our tools to get local rankings you would just have to use this format:
"Keyword + geotag"
An example would be if you want Pizza in New York, you would just do Pizza New York or Pizza in NYC. Once you done that our tool will take that query and come back with organic SERPs for your results, please keep in mind that our tools doesn't assign numeric rankings to Google 7 pack SERPs, rather they use a feature called Universal Placement. For more information, you can find our help hub topic about this here: moz.com/help/pro/rankings
Hope that helps, if you have any questions about our product, please let us know and we'll jump on it ASAP!
Best,
Peter

Hi Catherine,
If you are located in the UK, you might want to check out Bright Local. They are, I believe, located in the UK as well and have a large suite of tools. I have not used them, personally, but have heard good things about them.
I will CC our help staff on your technical question. I am sure you will receive a reply.

Anyone Know How Accurate The Spam Analysis Score Is?
Hello, I have a website whose spam analysis is showing a score is a 6 but when I look at the my links, I only have one link that is showing up as a 5. I look at all the subdomains and root domain and I am just curious if I should be worried or that this is quite common. Thoughts? Thanks,

Moz Crawl Test Tool - SEO Web Crawler showing up with no details
So basically I have ran the Moz Crawl Test tool twice for this url "bubblingwithenergy.info" and both times the report has listed 1 URL when there is obviously a lot more if you check the site. My question is, why is the Moz Crawl only reporting 1 URL when there are heaps? Is there a possibility it is being blocked and if so what would be blocking it? This website is using a CMS called Infusion and it is based off CMSMS (CMS Made Simple). Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Using Moz to find blogger with good PR.
Hi, My manager has recently informed me that you can use Moz in order to find blogger by category and their page rank. Is this possible? The reason for this is because we are looking for blogger with a good page rank and who are relevant to our sector, which is days out, outdoor activities, zipwires, adventure etc. We then want to contact them to see if we can invite them to write about our Tree Top Adventure and zip trekking activities. Any help would be much appreciated.

What is the best tool to track US positions from the UK?
We are currently tracking the rankings of a US-based client (we are UK-based) and it appears we are seeing some considerable differences in positions. To check ranks we often use Fat Rank which can be set to a US-based search and a manual search on Google.com. However, our American client is receiving different results (actually higher positions than we have recorded!) and is claiming to have used both a manual check on Google.com and the following tool.

http://smallseotools.com/keyword-position/ Would anybody be able to tell me how accurate this tool is regarding US-based positions?
We’ve since made use of the tool too and it adheres to the rankings that the US-based client is claiming – rather than our checks using Fat Rank and Google.com.0 -
Site Crawler Tool by the Company Formerly Known As SEOMoz
Moz had a tool I used that would crawl my site and send me a report of all pages, all errors, 301s 404s 505s, and a whole plethora of stuff. I used it to fix pesky errors quite a bit. Does this still exist? Was it replaced or am I just not finding it in the new design?
