Search Result Data Incorrect
-
Hey Guys, Does anyone have any insight on how to remove incorrect results from the Google Search Results? I've tried several ways to remove this incorrect listing and the problem still exists.
- Website has its headquarters location data on several pages of the site (about, contact).
- Website has a Google+ account and the website links to the correct Google+ account.
If anyone has any insight or tips on how to get this removed and/or changed to the correct result it would be much appreciated.

Hi NetMasons,
Google forms a cluster of data about each local business, drawing information from around the web. If Google is publishing incorrect business data for your company, chances are, they have pulled it from some source that features this incorrect data. For a better understanding of how local business data is shared around the web, check this out:
http://moz.com/learn/local/local-search-data-providers
Your task will be to search for whatever pieces of the data are incorrect, find the source of them and then correct them at the source so that, eventually, Google will update what they have about you to reflect correct information. Citation inconsistency is widely considered to be the third most negative ranking factor. You can read more about this here:
http://moz.com/local-search-ranking-factors
Without actually being able to audit your unique situation, I can't guarantee that this is what is causing your issues, but from your description, I'd bet that you have some citation cleanup work ahead of you. Please, let me know if you have any other questions.

If you have control over the web page appearing in Search Results, so you can simple remove it with GWT or you can do with the help of robots.txt
or
if you don't own these page, then these forms can help you get the content removed:

Search Visibility Dip
Hello, During the site crawl in the week of Jan 29th, my site experienced a somewhat significant dip in search visibility. While all my dashboards for the brand experienced a dip, it was most noticeable in a dashboard focused on a specific region. Overall, I didn't make any major changed to the site, nor did the competitors I'm tracking. FWIW, the competitors I'm tracking stayed steady and didn't move up or down in visibility during my dip. I stay fairly up-to-date with SEO best practices and I don't believe there were any algorithm changes during this time. Now, there is one possible reasoning for this dip. Sometime before the week of Jan 29th, we began a new web promotion. To track this promotion, I added some minor JavaScript in the header. This additional JavaScript did slow the site speed slightly, but only to a rating of "Average" based on PageSpeed Insights. Does anyone have any insights as to why my site may have suffered a dip during the week of Jan 29th? Thanks.

Why is my local page is ranking better than yellow pages for that particular search?
My search query is "façadier bastogne" in google.be which in English would translate as "plasterer" and bastogne being the local city I am targeting. I can't seem to understand why my site peintre-plafonneur-facadier-bastogne.be/fr would rank higher than our local directory "Pages d'or" (Yellow Pages) which has a high DA and almost always ranks first for similar searches as "peintre bastogne" (painter)? Not to mention my site was created by Pages d'Or. How did they manage to rank this so high whereas if you look at it you'll see that they have not made any SEO work on it whatsoever. Could anyone help me understand this or tell me which way to look in order to get that information? I really need this as I am paying a lot to this directory for my site and was planning to launch my own WordPress website.

Local search results question
Hello, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a client who is based outside the main city that he is wanting to rank in. The address on his website is his own home which is about 20 miles from the city. However, he services the city and the surrounding area. His ranking for the very competitive keyword is on page 2 and won't budge. We have made his Google+ page show the servicing area to include the city. We add new content regularly. The onsite SEO is strong and the city name is in the Title and H1 tags. We have lots of local consistent citations for him. This usually results in movement in the SERPS in my experience. But after 3 months this keyword is stuck whilst his other less competitive keywords are moving up. He is ranking 1st for the local area to his home address for the competitive keyword. So my question is - is this purely a result of his local address. Does Google rate him less local than his competitors who have addresses in the city even after we do a lot of citation building etc for him? Will it be possible to rank him for the city? I know 3 months isn't long but still would expect to see some difference. Anyone got any thoughts?

Is getting a top position in a local results block acheiveable if you are outside of the central zone ?
Most of the keywords / phrases we are targeting have the city (London) appended to it ie. service name London, service name in London etc. The business of the site we are working on is located in London, but not in central London. Because of this i think the site is not being ranking as well as it could be (compared to other sites that in the centre or nearer to the centre with seemingly lower profiles, including have no reviews on their Google + Pages). The site itself is relatively strong fluctuating between 3rd and 5th spot for the target phrases in the organic listings, but because of the local block which sits under position 2 our site always towards the bottom of the first page. We've submitted the site to all the relevant local directories and listings sites, got 3 google reviews on the Plus profile and added the correct local html schema markup to any of our sites pages where our address is mentioned, but still we are sitting at around #12 on the local listings block (when you click Map results for...) at the bottom of the 7 local listings. So the site dosnt seem far off being on the front page, but I feel ive exhausted the optimisation i can do, any ideas how i can make any gains in these local listings ?

Google+ Business Listings: Hours Displayed Incorrectly
Hi, When I do a search for our brand + location name (basically making sure we at least appear for that) the hours displayed are incorrect except when I log into our account to edit the hours they are right. Ex: Google SERP displays hours 8am - 11pm but within business listing account hours entered are 8pm - 10pm. Has anyone come across this and why would it be? Is it a case of other citations showing the incorrect hours? Thanks for your help WMCA

Why there is sometimes A-1 in Local result title?
Here is an exemple: https://plus.google.com/local/Montréal, QC/s/a-1?hl=fr Is this a legacy from Yellow Pages? A way to be first in the paper edition or it's something else?
