What SEO conferences do you recommend?
-
I need your recommendations for which SEO conference I should attend to during 2011-2012.
I've been working with SEO since 2002 so I'm not a beginner. I want the good stuff!
However I havn't been to that many conferences before, only PubCon Las Vegas several times. I would therefore appreciate some help from you guys who have tried them all (or at least several of them)
Thank's a lot!

My main SEO conference experience has been attending several SES and SMX events. I personally prefer the SMX events because I think they tend to have fresher topics, and it's a more comfortable conference to attend in that you have better food, more networking time between sessions, etc. SMX Advanced is good in that it's a somewhat smaller show, and has more advanced topics.
I think some of it depends on your focus. A small, focused seminar like EGOL talks about may be just what you need, or you may want a conference with a wider variety of topics.

The best two days that I have ever spent was at Brad Geddes' Adwords Seminars. I've attended them twice and learned a ton both times.
Go there expecting to THINK HARD. I thought they were about as challenging as a college calculus class.. anybody who thinks that he is going to sit there, sip coffee and fart should stay home. This is really a math class of conversion rates, bidding strategies and profit margins. Spreadsheets!

What would you expect an SEO agency to deliver in 6 months?
Hi All, Looking for some views/opinions on this one, my question is "What would you expect an SEO agency to have delivered for a single client over a 6 month period with a budget of £12k?" I appreciate that its fairly open ended and very subjective not knowing the site/circumstances but is there a general consensus or minimum you'd expect to have seen delivered for example x number of backlinks, x number pieces of content created, technical improvements made etc etc. Any steer, views or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Best X-Cart SEO Solutions / Modules?
We recently acquired an e-commerce client that uses X-Cart. We have no previous experience with this platform and it's hard to find any good / helpful info regarding SEO functionality online. Right now I need to figure out how to handle mass redirects of 404 errors, friendlier URLs, resolving duplicate content, XML sitemap generation, robots.txt generation. The functionality built into the platform so far is terrible and all of the modules are pricey. Any recommendations, general or specific, would be insanely helpful if anybody out there has experience with this particular platform. Thanks!

First Time SEO Online Store
Hi All, I have recently launched a new online store selling mobile phones and accessories. I have always found SEO to be one of those foggy areas, after all I see things through curly braces. However, as the director of the new online store I do need to get myself involved in SEO and all its wonders that it has to offer. I was wondering if any of the Pro SEO guys at there have any tips for an almost newbie in the world of SEO... Can it be made fun?? I find it at times to be a right slog and I do question whether I'm actually getting anywhere etc. Any responses or advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Rob

Market Motive - Take their SEO Course?
Hi there, I'm considering taking Market Motive's online SEO course for $3,500. It's a steep price for me so I wanted to ask you guys if this is a wise choice. The course would grant me certification and is around 90 days to complete. Has anyone had any experience with this course? It seems a little old, but Market Motive claims they update their videos.

I need recommendation on an email system for customer service center.
My client has way too many emails coming into his inbox and it's preventing him from closing orders. He wants to be able to split the email load among everyone in sales so he isn't burdened with answering all the emails while his staff sit on their asses. Can anyone recommend a system where emails sent to info@example.com are answered like a customer service system?
