Hi BK! This is Beck. I'm a part of the analytics team here at Moz.
Thank you for reaching out to us. We'll try to answer your question the best we can.
The gaq.push option is a commonly used solution, as long as you are following through with the same methodology on your site setup. I am attaching a link below that may help you put the GA event tracking practice a little more in perspective. Having said that however, other options you mentioned are certainly plausible. Can you be a little bit more specific about your setup?
The GA event tracking how-to is the following: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/eventTrackerGuide
As far as your question on the tag manager setup, yes, tag manager can help you out with this as well, as long as your methodology is consistent throughout your site. I'm attaching another documentation that talks about tag management event tracking as well. If this doesn't help, can you be a little more specific on what you're trying to accomplish on this as well?
The tag management event tracking is the following: https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/3420054?hl=en
Thanks again for reaching out to us!

Why only a few pages of my website are being indexed by google
Our website www.navisyachts.com has in its sitemap over 3000 pages of information, and this is all unique content written by our team. Now Google Webmaster central shows only 100 urls indexed from 3500 submitted. Can you help me understand why and how I can fix this issue? The website has 4 years old, is a Joomla 3.3 up to date. It has part of the content in the Joomla core content systems and part in K2. Thank you. Pablo

Click-to-call mobile event tracking
Hello! I want to track calls on mobile devices from a website. I was able to successfully set up an event with Google Analytics that tracks when a user clicks the phone # on the website, however, as you know, when someone clicks a phone # using iOS it prompts a display of the # and gives the users two options, Cancel or Call. My question: is there any way to track when the user clicks the 'Call' action? Thanks

Google as referring domain
Hi all, a colleague asked a question, which I could not answer (never even noticed this "problem") 😞 When we are logged into our GA account and go the referring domains section, we find Google. I always thought that these visitors came via Google Image Search, but not all of them do. Most of them come via "/imgres", but some come via "/" (always thought that "/" was the homepage?), "/url" and "//" Maybe I am just stupid, but honestly I could not explain what these strings mean... or how these visitors landed on our site... Can you help me???

So many questions!
Yesterday was a jubilant day! Our website http://www.farnorthkennel.com hit the #2 spot on google for one of our keyword searches "german shepherd puppies in Alaska." We are new at this and it took a lot of work and about 2 months to do this (I realize this is fast). What happened overnight? We have new pages on page 1 towards the bottom, but our homepage fell to around page 4? What would make this happen? I didn't make any updates to the homepage recently. Am I linking to it too much interally? Am I running too many categories? The "too many on pages links" warning comes up all of the time, but I feel like my site is structured user friendly. I am blogging like mad and successfully getting guest blog posts on reputable sites like mad. I have 30,000 Facebook fans.... but will never understand google. Any takers? What happened overnight?

Google Analytics Report throws up Google as a referrer
Good morning from Wet & Windy 12 degrees C wetherby UK... Using Google analytics I've noticed in the traffic sources refferer subsection some traffic is categorized as originating from Google. Whats puzzling me is.... I know a huge amount of traddic stems from Google but as the below screenshot illustrates only 21 visitors come from Google: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-refferal-sources-top-levelcopy.jpg And when i drill down some are coming from Google mobile 😞 http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-referral-sourcescopy.jpg Is traffic categorised as Google referrer down to Google hiding searches via ssl as explained here: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-referral-sourcescopy.jpg Any insights welcome 🙂

Mobile and Google Analytics
As my mobile numbers are going up in Google Analytics I'm trying to figure out what phone runs what browser. I see that 93% of mobile users have Safari which I believe is iPhone, iPad and iPods. There is a 6% usage of "Mozilla Compatible Agent". What cell phone would this be?
