Is site page structure hurting its chances to rank?

I have a client that sells geotextiles and related products.
None of his keywords gets a lot of traffic google as it is a very B2B niche specific industry.
For instance, and these numbers are off the top of my head
The phrase geotextiles may get 80 searches a month and we have a domain.com/geotextiles.php page
Then there are woven and nonwoven geotextiles which may get 30 searches a month
We too have a domain.com/nonwoven-geotextiles.php and etc
It then goes even further and has things like slit film series non woven /woven and we have subpages from there.
To me, I feel as if we need to merge all of these pages to just a singular geotextile page with headers for woven and nonwoven and product info for the sub branches of those two. I feel as if we are basically competing for the same phrase again and again and again for very small amounts of traffic.
Thoughts?

If Google isn't picking the "right page," then either 1) your pages aren't optimized well enough or 2) it's too niche and Google doesn't know what it's looking at. For the latter, you could combine higher categories and then have customer specify what they want when they buy. Example: If you were selling shirts, you wouldn't have separate pages for every size variation in every color, you'd just have one page about that shirt and then let the customer select color and size.

That would be correct if we could rank. But almost every single one of these pages is targeting "geotextile" in some form.
Geotextile fabrics
nonwoven geotextile fabrics
woven geotextile fabrics
slit film woven geotextile fabrics
etc
And Google is not picking the right page to rank. It will show a super inner category to rank for the top-most level keyword search. To me it is just us competing against ourselves for almost every keywords. None of these phrases have any variety in them. It makes more sense to target the upper level on one page and to have headers for these smaller things that have no additional searches or keyword variety

Since you're so niche, volume of traffic probably is less concerning as not that many people are looking for it. I'd look more into the conversion rates on those pages. Are those customers finding what they need and buying off the page? Why or why not? For example, if you're only getting 80 visits per month, but 70% of that traffic is converting and they're buying thousands of dollars worth of product, you're doing something right.

Does you page need to be unique to rank
What I mean by unique is : Let's imagine I want to rank one "seo ranking factors." In order to compete do I need to have (in terms of design) that is totally different than everything out there or can I rank with a page that is presented in a very similar way than everything out there but with different content. Thank you,

Dislodged own ranking with poorer quality page?
Hi, So last week we where ranking within the top two pages for google for a results page at something like rank 21 - https://www.whichledlight.com/t/g9-led-bulbs We have been tracking this page and earned a few decent domain authority links here. Today when the new rankings came in it looks like a blog page we wrote a while back has jumped several pages to number 13 in the rankings - ok so not the end of the world BUT our results page seems to have disappeared from the rankings. You can see from the screen shot in the attached link at some point Moz / Google has noted that both the pages are relevent in some capaicty. Has Google decided that because both pages are from the site and both are showing ranking signals for the same traffic that one should go? It also seems weird that this blog one would come from nowhere to rank so highly in the course of a week. Perhaps they have changed their algorithm? This is a bit of a concern for us as it is unclear whats happened - especially after we where so close to getting to page one for a valued search term. SBZRaIq

Exact match .org Ecommerce: Reason why internal page is ranking over home page
Hello, We have a new store where an internal category page (our biggest category) is moving up ahead of the home page. What could be the reason for this? It's an exact match .org. Over-optimization? Something else? It happened both when I didn't optimize the home page title tag and when I did for the main keyword, i.e. mainkeyword | mainkeyword.org, or just mainkeyword.org Home Page. Both didn't help with this. We have very few backlinks. Thanks

Links / Top Pages by Page Authority ==> pages shouldnt be there
I checked my site links and top pages by page authority. What i have found i dont understand, because the first 5-10 pages did not exist!! Should know that we launched a new site and rebuilt the static pages so there are a lot of new pages, and of course we deleted some old ones. I refreshed the sitemap.xml (these pages are not in there) and upload it in GWT. Why those old pages appear under the links menu at top pages by page authority?? How can i get rid off them? thx, Endre

Redirect or Rewrite? 2 pages ranking
We have two pages ranking for "Custom Web Design" http://www.imageworksstudio.com/custom-web-design ranks higher (consistently 9-13) and http://www.imageworksstudio.com/content/custom-web-design ranks around 35-40 the latter is actually an older version of the article that never was replaced or taken down - but it has the majority of the links to it Wondering if we should update the old content so it is not similar to the one that is ranking better or if we should redirect everything to /custom-web-design to see if it can secure better rankings?

Best way to improve page rank
I notice many small business sites seems to have a page rank of 3,4, or 5 which don't appear to be doing a great deal of SEO on their websites. i.e these are very basic sites with a little static content that rarely changes, no blogs or particular links. Does having a high page rank still mean your will achieve better search engine positions? whats the best way to improve page rank for small business sites? thanks

Landing page indexed and ranking in less then 24 hours
Hi, I got a landing page which went up last night about 11pm. Its been indexed and ranked since then. Its a EMD and has about 600 words of unqiue content. It currently sits on page 9 for what I would say is a non competitive term (the top result is not an EMD and has 10 backlinks from the same site, which has no PR). Now my question is this: Would you say that page 9 is the given position Google thinks this website should sit at? Or because its so new could I very much expect some more movement? Basically up the rankings? Cheers
