How can I increase quality score when bidding on competitors?
-
I'm trying to increase my quality score when bidding on competitors. I've broken up each competitor into a separate ad group and focused on 5-10 keywords in each but my quality scores seem to stay around 3 - 5. I'd like them to be more in the neighborhood of 5-7
Currently my ad relevance is below average and feel that if I can increase that to at least average than I should see some better quality scores. Any advice on how to do this with the competition?
Normally, I just focus ads around the use of the keywords but since the keywords are brand names, I can't do that with these ads.

Thanks for the input. I just wanted to see if maybe anyone had any "tips or tricks" regarding this.
Since I can't use trademarked names in the ad copy to increase relevance, I think I look at what Alick300 said about CTR and try to increase that to increase QS.

Hi Christopher,
Agreed with Jasmine there is no way to improve Ad relevance when you are bidding on competitors brand because you can't use competitors brand name anywhere in Ad copy, Google doesn't allow this.
*** Please remember CTR takes the largest percentage of the QS, followed by Relevance, that's how relevant is your Ad to the landing page***
Use all Ad extensions.
Thanks

Hey Christopher,
Unfortunately, I'm not sure there's anything you can do for the ad copy relevance. This is definitely the problem with all competitive advertising in PPC.
Something to try, if you're super set on this tactic, would be to use the competitor name in your descriptions by saying "An alternative to X". I've never seen that done before. Most people have TMs filed with Google so your copy will be denied, and typically as soon as they find that you are using their brand in your copy they will file it with Google so there's not much you can do.
Good Luck!

Can you market to someone 30 days AFTER they visit your site via PPC?
Hi all, I'm looking to market to visitors 30 days AFTER they have been to a website. Their is a coupon this business wants to run every 30 days to its' repeat customers (and if they purchase again); thus, 30 days more will resume. I'm aware that your remarketing list can capture audiences from 30, 60, and 90 days past. I'm talking about future display ads running 30 days after visitor has cookies enabled. Thanks for your help! Bing Ads Quality Score
Hi Mozzers, We've just imported (around two weeks ago) our Adwords into Bing and are just evaluating it. Pretty much across the board, but especially our best performing Ad Groups are showing up with abysmal quality scores. Case in point: our best ad group has mostly 10s, two 9s and one 7 in Adwords, yet nothing over 3 in Bing. Specifically landing page relevance is rated poor, keyword relevance and landing page experience as "no problem". So, what specifically is Bing looking for on landing page relevance that's dramatically different to Adwords? The Bing help references a blog post of 2 years ago suggesting increasing keyword count - yet the pages do well in organic search and adding more keywords to the copy will start to look artificial and stuffed, so I'm very reluctant to start there! Any pointers?

Whoa! Newsletter Subscription Form in Adwords Ad??? How can I do this?
I just googled the term "Mobile Lead Gen" and found this ad: http://cl.ly/260X3f0t1z1j1R1m212d Sweet! It has the subscription form signup directly within the Google Ad. Looks like Chrome even pre-populated my email address in the form. Does anyone know how to set this up within Adwords? I've never seen that option before. wXOGJ
