Is it safe to use Microformats and Schema.org on one page?
-
I'm running a news blog and I'm using schema.org/NewsArticle. I would like to know if I should add microformats on the article page too or just use the schema? If I add both, will it effect my sites SEO/ranking?
Thank you

Just to jump off what Nicolas has said - are you all set up at Google News Publisher Center? This is an important part of being promptly featured in Google News.

Thanks Nicolas for checking,
I have published mixed articles (short and long) , both don't appear "In the news" list. I have created a new question post here https://moz.com/community/q/my-news-site-not-showing-in-in-the-news-list-on-google-web-search
Lets see what others say ...

OK Thanks.
Perhaps it's the length of your article ? too short ? It's difficult to know why your are not included in Google News, but in fact you have done all the things to be there.

URL is http://www.Tapscape.com
The website already had a Google News sitemap http://www.tapscape.com/news-sitemap.xml
Thank you

Without URL it will be hard to help you
You should create e special sitemap for Google News , as explain here :https://support.google.com/news/publisher/answer/74288?hl=en

Thank you for your answer. When I use the structured data, it shows everything fine. But when Google Index a news article, it takes 24 hours for it to show up in Google Web Search "In the news" list. How can I trigger it to show up directly? Example: As soon as a news article gets published, it is shown "In the news" on Google Web search. Here is an example of what I mean to say http://imgur.com/1qoArRs

Note: My site has been on Google News since 2012, and I been publishing unique content. The site already has do-follow backlinks from big sites too.
I know this might not be exactly related to the topic, but I hope you don't mind answering
Thank you

I think the best for you is to test with the Google Structured Data Testing Tool:
https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool?urlIf the tool can see all the structured data, it's ok!

Should I change our main category pages to product listing pages?
With the thought of improving user experience, as well as rankings in Google, I'm considering changing our main category pages to product listing pages (with sub-categories remaining, still). These main category pages are very standard and don't link to any informational content, such as buyers guides, etc. What's driven this is the latest Google core update. I've noticed our main competitor (who we were out-ranking before... but not now) now uses this approach. I can see the benefit from a user perspective, i.e. less clicks to reach products. What's the pros/cons from an SEO point of view, please? Could the potential duplication of content be an issue? For context, we have about 2,000 products and website is on Magento 2.

Reducing multi-page website to one page & SEO ramifications?
Hello there! I just want to check in before I do this. I am reducing a multi-page website to one page (temporarily, but for at least 4-6 months). I will be 301 redirecting all old pages to the one, new home page. The new home page has a lot more content, long and short keyword phrases. Aside from losing the benefit of internal links, will reducing the number of website pages hurt a ranking? Does having associated keywords on other website pages provide benefit to another (in this case Home) page? Thanks so much for your invaluable advice!

Will pushing a visitor to a conversion page hosted on a 3rd-party domain hurt the landing page ranking
Had an interesting question from a client. The client has a page that is optimized for a specific term. The goal of the page is to push users to sign-up for a trial. The trial registration (conversion) page is hosted by a third-party. Will pushing users to the conversion page cannibalize the SEO authority of the landing page. My reflexive answer is to say no, but now am not so sure.

I'm ranking Position 7,8,11,12,13,14 &15 but would rather one page top three - are they competing?
For the search phrase "office design birmingham" in the uk. I have mutiple pages ranking in position 7,8,11,12,13,14 & 15! This is all very well but are they somehow competing? Am i better off doing something different to get one or two into the top 3 rather than 7 in the top 15?! Many thanks for your opinion and advice. James

Old pages
I have a site where I have 5,000 new products each year, I never waned to deleted the old pages due to links pointing to them and keywords. But I now have 20,000 plus pages, does having that many pages spread out my link juice or does it effect me in any other ways over having a site with 5,000 pages or should I keep not deleting old pages so I dont loose any links? Along with that I currently do not link to my old pages from my site so Im guessing google does not get to them very often if at all, if you agree to still keep them should I link to them somewhere? Because the products are not that simiiar and they do bring added value I dont think canonical would work here

The Better Title to Use?
Hello Mozers- I am targeting the keywords "liposuction scottsdale", "liposuction phoenix", "liposuction mesa", "liposuction arizona". Out of the following two Titles below, one would you consider the better one? And Why? I am leaning towards the second example. If you have any more ideas that would be great. 1). Tummy Tuck Scottsdale, Phoenix, Mesa, Arizona 2).Tummy Tuck Scottsdale | Tummy Tuck Phoenix, Mesa, Arizona. Thanks!!

SEO for One Page Websites
Hi Are there any SEO guidelines for "one page websites". I'm looking into the 'benefit' it might have in combination with exact match URLs. Many thanks in advance.
