Pages optimised for similar subjects...?
-
Hello all,
I am currently trying to get the company I work for ranking better (surprise, surprise) in the search engines. We operate in the Internet Services sector and I'm having a little trouble with some of the sections on our website.
I suspect that some of the problem is that certain pages are trying to sell the same product while being optimized for different things. An example of this is our ADSL Broadband - The product itself has a rolling contract (so basically a no contract service) so I have optimized a page for short term / no contract terms. This page is not the 'main' page for the product (more of a gateway page / an attempt to catch people in the SERPs) and as such, one of the main benefits (probably the better of the benefits) of the product has been used for a 'No Contract Broadband' page. This leaves me slightly stuck for optimization for the main page so I suppose the short version of my question is...
Should I optimize one main page or split the benefits out into multiple gateway pages - each focusing on a different benefit? Is it wise to dilute content in this way? Does that make sense?
-
If these benefits are unique and require further information to explain each individually then it would be worthwhile, you wouldn't be diluting if the information on each page was unique.
You could have a little bit of information covering each benefit on the main page and then have a "read more" option which sends them to a new page with more information.
If you're just repeating yourself across different pages and there isn't helpful information then you will get no benefit from building out pages.

Competing Pages for Ranking Keywords?
Hey there, My client has this existing page which ranks for rentals-related keywords that are product type specific - i.e. electric wheelchair rentals, mobility scooter rentals, etc. https://mobilityequipmentforless.com/pages/rentals I recently made a rentals page for each product type to try and really target those keywords that the rentals page is ranking for. Is this a problem? Is the potential nature of the pages competing for the keywords a real issue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Mike

Should we target Outsource and Offshore on same page?
While doing keyword research I found out that there are 2 keywords with same search count and difficulty level.

Outsource Engineering Design India
Offshore Engineering Design India My question is, should I create 2 separate pages for these keywords with the addition of their extended related keywords or just keep one long page with both these keywords targeted? Technically, Outsource and Offshore have separate meanings but on SERP it seems like both are searched for the same purpose. Can you please share your views on this? Thanks0 -
SEO'd Title Tag for Product Pricing Page with Little to No SV for Product Pricing Related Terminology
Hello, What should one do about a title tag for product pricing page (of a SaaS company)? The only keywords/phrases that have SV are "Acme Pricing" "Acme Product Pricing" and "Acme Solutions Pricing", but obviously I don't want to use all three since "Acme" and "Pricing" repeat in all three. Should the title tag just be "Acme Pricing"? In past experiences, a title tag that short typically gets changed by Google in SERPs. Should one not optimize the title tag at all? Any thoughts, suggestions, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Targeting newly identified keywords with Landing Pages
Hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice... A number of my client's websites have been ranking well for a group of keywords for some time and now through further keyword research I wish to broaden out the number of keywords the site targets using landing pages eg, a printer company ranks well for 'flyer printing' but also wants to rank for 'nightclub flyers'. My questions are:
Keyword Research | | DiamondDave
1. How many monthly searches for a specific keyword would warrant a dedicated landing page?
2. Any tips / advice on using landing pages for the purpose of broadening out the no. of targeted keywords?
3. What would be the 'key' features of such a landing page ie, relevant image, text content, CTA. Thanks in advance 🙂0 -
My page was removed from Google search result, any idea why?
URL: http://id.gamesinasia.com/review-smartphone-xiaomi-mi3/ Hi, So last week I wrote a review about a smartphone and after a couple days my post was at 6th (first page) in google search result. But yesterday it was suddenly disappeared from google search result (not even in 10++ page). Normally I just have to wrote title page + games in asia, like "review xiaomi mi3 games in asia" and google will show me the post but now it wont even show. In fact two other site that simply scrap my content was showing on 1st and 2nd result! More info: All the content was original, including the image. We are also Yahoo (Indonesia) content partner so my review also ends up in yahoo site ( https://id.berita.yahoo.com/review-xiaomi-mi3-sebuah-angkatan-baru-dunia-smartphone-121537236.html) I'm not expecting a super high ranking, but google is punishing the page and I have no idea why. Thanks!

Does Google Places pick up interior pages?
For example, we have optimized all of a clients interior pages to the point where it is competing with some of their competitors main pages. Unfortunately, they do not show up on most of the Google Places keywords. Their competition, who are lower than them organically, automatically show up in Google Places while they do not show up at all. Organically they are 2nd or 3rd in most of their keywords, but no one near the top in Google Places. Thank you!

Choosing keywords for similar products on an ecommerce site
In the case of an e-commerce website, can you optimize multiple pages using the same keyword ‘root’ but including different long-tail variances of that ‘root’? For example, say I’m optimizing for a site that sells wallpaper. I found search traffic for the keyword “buy wallpaper online,” but no traffic for “Blue Tinted Wallpaper” (or its variants) and no taffic for “Yellow Plaid Wallpaper” (or its variants). Could I effectively optimize both of these pages using the root “Buy wallpaper online”, yet distinguish the pages by using long-tail variants such as “Buy Blue Tinted Wallpaper Online” and “Buy Yellow plaid Wallpaper Online”? Any examples of this you can point to?
