I know it wasn't intended in the way I read it, but "if you can source high quality links back to your site this will help with rankings"... this doesn't mean go off and buy them - you would be surprised how many do. If you have a friendly PBN, then perhaps it's a different conversation
Think about this:
What are most people who could link to you, likely to link to - a sales page about vapes or an article about it?
It is obviously the second one and the way that I would advise this, is by taking these articles, marketing them and then getting links to those instead. You then use these articles to internal link through to your key (hub) pages. This is a very effective way to link build without trying to get links to sales pages - which almost never happens.

I would do some keyword research and look at doing some mid to long tail keyword articles. The articles which aren't as competitive and easier to rank for.
I would also look to add more content on your category pages to help Google determine what the pages are about. While Google might be smart enough to work it out, but the easier you make it for them the better, plus if your leaving it to a machine they could incorrectly work out what the page is about.
I don't know if its just me, but the page takes a long time to load - if that's not just me that will be a bad signal for both Google and the users.
Links are only part of the ranking algorithm, content and technical are the other two. But if you can source high quality links back to your site this will help with rankings.

Back links do I need my keyword in them to rank? If so creative way to accomplish this?
The first question is pretty self explanatory. If I do need my keyword I'm trying to rank for in my link example: Looking for a cool skateboard (cool skateboard) is my keyword. Can anyone on here help me come up with some creative ways for me to get folks to post backlinks to my site with that key word in it? Unfortunately my sites url does not have the keyword in my domain.

Any ideas why organic traffic seems to have hit a plateau?
I run an eCommerce store and have a decent number of quality links pointing to it(which is still growing). It's been 6 months since I started it, and I'm getting between 100-120 organic visits per day right now. I've had a few more quality guest post/infographic links, and I'm also focusing on optimizing individual pages, but my traffic still seems to have plateaued. I'm beginning to doubt that more links is the answer. All of my content is unique(no manufacturer descriptions) and I'm still being outranked by sites that have spammier link profiles and copy/paste descriptions. Any thoughts?

Need assistance with website placement
Hi, If a website xyz.com is placed under the top right navigation of a blog abc.com which are closely relevant to each other, will it do any harm to the website in Google search?

Now since the website is placed under right navigation, it is visible on every page of the blog, does it matter even though they are closely relevant? Note: The other external links that are on the blog are also relevant to each other. Thank You,

Does Localeze replace the need for manual verifications?
I work with a lot of clients in the insurance industry. For many of them, local results are their best chance for showing up on page one of search results for these competitive keywords. I've been looking at signing them up for enhanced Localeze accounts to help increase their structured citations. Is Localeze an effective solutions for claiming structured citations, or is manually claiming listings more effective? Thanks in advance for your help!

Blog traffic / link ratio? (Esimated of how much traffic will result in a link)
Hi, Was wondering if people could please tell me some estimates of how much traffic is likely to gain links to a blog post? For example 1,000 hits = 1 link, Hence 10,000 hits = 10 links to a blog post? I understand there is no magic ratio I just want to know what people have achieved. I’m after averages not just a one off really successful blog post too. Please specify the topic you achieve this in e.g. SEO, photography, business, heath... etc.

Guest blogging tips needed!
Hi, I'm about to start guest blogging for the first time, I have a particular keyword I want to push up, it currently sits page 2, position 1 and I would like to push this up into the top 5 results. The 5 results I need to jump past also happen to be my main competitors, but I don't think they are activity link building for this keyword as url's are not SEO friendly (containing query strings), meta descriptions don't have the keyword word exact. So the solutions is link building with anchor text links from relevant, auth websites. The method I want to use to achieve this is guest blogging but as I am just starting out on the guest blogging front does anyone have any tips on how to find good blogs which will help? I found a website called myblogguest.com but the blogs on there dont seem that great, I have been doing a few queries in Google to try and find them instead such as; "write for us" keyword then researching the blogs with the SEOMOZ tools. Cheers

Duplicate Content, Replicated Websites, Noindex Type Question.. Need Advice Please
So I am working for a Multi-Level Marketing Company. The members each get their own website which is a wilcard subdomain. So we have example.com (Main site) mysite.example.com (Replicated) They both are literally the same content and I have chosen to noindex, nofollow the subdomains, but as a SEO that presents a problem with linkbuilding. However, the member only gets credit (think affiliates) if the click comes from their subdomain. I don't want duplicate content penalties and I don't want the members to possibly lose out on a sale that would otherwise just be credited to the company if the link was redirected to the main site instead. Did I make the right decision?
