How do I ensure that colour variant products aren't flagged for being duplicate?
-
I have a site with 12 colour variants of 1 style. How do I ensure that these are not flagged as duplicate content as they currently have been?
-
If for some reason you need all the colors to have their own page (as opposed to putting all of the colors on one page, as Alick300 helpfully suggested) you can use rel=canonical links to choose one page to be the indexed one (the most popular color, perhaps). If you are not familiar with canonicals, here is some information.

Hi Ashcastle,
Best option is not creating different page for each variant you can show it on one page only. I'm also using the same on my own website.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

In Webmaster Tools I have a ton of pages listed under Structured Data >> Hentry. These pages are not on my website and I don't know where they are coming from. I redid the site for someone and perhaps they are from the old site. How do I find and delete these? Thank you Rena

'sameAs' Mark up for different spellings of a Product/Keyword, is it possible?
Hi There, I've seen that for social media profiles you can mark them up to be the 'sameAs', example below: -
<scripttype="application ld+json"="">{ "@context":"http://schema.org", "@type":"Organization", "name":"Your Organization Name", "url":"http://www.your-site.com", "sameAs":[ "http://www.facebook.com/your-profile", "http://www.twitter.com/yourProfile", "http://plus.google.com/your_profile" ] }</scripttype="application>
My question is can you do something similar for your product/keyword? For example when you can spell the word in different ways e.g. Whisky (English) or Whiskey (Irish/US). I've had a look at schema.org but I'm not sure if I'm headed down the wrong path? Thanks

Duplicate Content of Reseller Product?
There is a particular product/service that I resell through an API. There are quite a few of them and each one requires a lot of content. The company provides web content for each product but I'm wondering about the SEO implications of using it? Obviously using the content, it will not be unique so I won't be able to rank (easily at least) for these products. Are there any _negative_results that I can get from using this content though? If I simply won't rank for those products it's not an issue since I get traffic elsewhere. Thanks!

Grr . . . Just can't seem to get there
mrswitch.com.au is one site that we are consistantly struggling with . . . It has a page rank of 3 which beats most of the competitors, but when it comes to Google AU searches such as Sydney Electrician and Electrician Sydney etc, we just can't seem to get there and the rankings keep dropping. We backlink and update the pages on a regular basis Any ideas? - Could it be the custom CMS system?
