External links cannot be found

HI, we have a relatively new website, and we know that there are a couple of external links to this site. But in Moz and in KWfinder, it says that there are no backlinks. We do not use robot.txt or noindex, and we have no clue how to make crawlers find the external links so that our DA will be enhanced. Anyone a solution?

Hi Marielle,
That Moz or other external tools don't show external links to your website doesn't mean a lot actually. They don't have a 100% coverage of the entire web for sure and things don't happen immediately. It takes time...They don't/can't crawl the web the same way e.g. Google does, so their view will always be incomplete. They actually say that they focus on quality rather than quantity....
It depends on the the country (TLD: .nl?, .com?, ...), importance/popularity of the linking website/your site, etc.
Look it up on The Google Search Console - Search Traffic - Links to your Site. I guess you will be able to see the linking sites earlier or later there but again this could take time. Google hast to crawl the linking website - connect it to your site and show it on Google Search Console. This can easily take weeks to happen.

Hi Marielle,
Why do you want to "enhance your DA"? It is not associated with Google and has no impact on your rankings or traffic - it is a third party metric.
With a new website, it might take Moz a couple of months to crawl links to your site and start reporting on your DA, but it honestly doesn't matter.
It's better to focus on real metrics from Google Analytics or Google Search Console.

Hi there, We operate about a dozen websites that are part of the same parent company. All these websites are in the same vertical, and link among each other in the footer section. The anchor for each link is the brand name, so we are merely doing it to show what other products the parent company has to offer. My question is: do you think this is still advisable, or it might trigger a penalty? Also, what would you choose between: Sitewide footer links from each site to the other sites. Can i get a list of internal and external links from moz?
My issue is that i have 133k external links and 730k total links. And from what i've read on the forums this means that we have about 597k internal links (730k total links minus 133k external links). And this seems like HUGE number of internal links. I somehow think it might be affecting our seo rankings as it might look like some "fishy" practice to Google. So in the graphs i can see that this number of total links has actually risen from 400k to 700k in the past months.. And since our external link count hasn't changed that much it means the number of internal links has grown a lot. So my idea is to check what are these internal links so I can better understand where they come from. Can anyone explain how come we have such a HUGE number of internal links? And more importnantly how can we see a list of these internal links so we could possibly rectify this and check if all is in order? I am adding a screnshot to give better insight jiDONUw

Internal Links - How to Increase them, Categories not being considered as Internal Links
Hi All: As per my understanding, Internal Equity Passing Links is a metric defining PA. Now my website has around 65 internal links while few of my competitors have more than 180 links. I am unable to understand how to increase the internal links passing equity on my website, because I can see, more number of links on my website than my competitors but opensiteexplorer does not show that. I am really confused. Please help out if anyone knows something about this issue. Thanks in advance.

Hello all ! I would love some opinions about one Link Building technical aspect from SEOs, link builders ... How important is the number of outgoing links on the page you have the opportunity to place a link ? (from a scale of 1-10 / what about where dose this factor fits overall with your check list , as important to consider as far as link building) Would you place a link on a page with 200+ outgoing external links if the page is ok (not involved in selling links, all links are related with the subject, target page, anchor text etc) or you would go with a link on a 10-15 links per page but not that 'powerful' and not that related (not spammy but more general on the subject that can contain links to some other non related resources). Eg: Option 1: www.whatever-name.com/links.html the entire domain is about x. It has 250 links in that page (in the links.html) all links on the links.html pages are somehow related / resources with x. Your link can be placed with an anchor text related with x that will target a page on your site related with x. Domain page rank : 6 (as a general indicator), Page PR, the links.html one, PR: 2 Option 2: www.some-other-name.com/x-is-so-great the entire domain is NOT about x, just the page. It has 5..10 links in that page (external links more or less related with x - but not spammy) Your link can be placed with an anchor text related with x that will target a page on your site related with x. Buying links
I have 2 websites to pay monthly to gain links from, number 1 is on the homepage of a directory, it has a PA of 90 and DA of 88.

the link will be on the right hand side along with 55 other featured sites.
these links are there throughout the whole site. number 2 is from a website with 20 max sponsored links on a page and will be one of the sub pages on the site with a PA of 74. How valuable if any would these links be? My current pa on the site i wish to send the links to is 26 Can i expect my PA to go up by much? Also i currently have 317 links from 7 root domains on my site will this effect the rank of the paid links? Thanks in advance0
