Keyword explorer
-
Hello,
I was trying the keyword explore and got some questions :
I first used it with all the search terms for the keyword "italy bike tours" and came across terms like this one
"tuscany bike tours florence italy"
- Does it mean I have to include this exact expression in my content or do I just need to include somewhere in my content the words tuscany and florence ?
Then I did the same search but this time with closely related keywords and the keyword explorer give me the word
"pasticceria" or "tirrenia" are being closely related to the keyword italy bike ...
- How does the keyword explorer find those words because I don't see how those can be related...
If someone could explain that would be awesome.
Thank you,
-
You're very welcome! Do feel free to reach out if you need any more help.

Thank you for clearing everything out. I will give it a try.

Hello,
Just a disclaimer - I don't speak italian, but do understand some parts.
For the question about non-related kwds...the kw explorer finds these through some algorythms between what people search before/after they search those keywords and what content pages that rank for those keywords have.
For the other question, you need to run a good analysis and create a list with your kwds. Then, make sure to carefully skim through it, assign your own priorities for each kw judging by how important they are for your business (ex if you sell bikes the kw "italy bike tour" or "italy bike rental" might not be important for you at all, but might still be suggested by moz). After doing this, you need to order your kwds by overall priority rating. This will make an average between how hard it is to rank for it, the volume of search that kw has, and your priority rating.
For the very top kwds you absolutely want to include the exact kw string at least once in your content (this can be as an alt tag on an image). For the top 2-3 results you'll want to include those exactly in h1's , titles, meta titles, meta descriptions.
For the rest of the kwds, things like including the work "tuscany" will help, but it won't give you a 90+ rating of "keyword optimisation" on that page. Of course you won't be able to be at 90+ for all kwds, but it's ideal to be there for the most important 5-7 kwds you want to rank for (at first at least).
After you create your campaign you'll be able to check how optimized your page is for each kw.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

Is it possible to compete on keywords with Amazon?
Is it actually even possible to compete against Amazon to be #1 in Google SERPs against Amazon? If so - how? I run a boutique business selling a niche product, in 2008 - 2013 I was always #1 for my keywords.

But since Amazon started the same type of products as well, I have now always been right under amazon results, who are at 1,2,3. Is it even possible to get to the #1 position any more? Thank you.0 -
Please... Help me convince my boss that Keyword Density is not-important / damaging.
If you can, please provide any and all talking points that I can use in this argument. It seems that no matter what I show him, including Matt Cutts' video debunking Keyword Density back in 2011, it doesn't seem to stick. He is fully, 100% convinced that keyword density is hugely important and we need to focus our time and energy on it. Any sources you might have to help me show him that this is a myth would be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Related Keywords: How many separate pages?
We have an attorney website. There is a practice area that our research shows many different 2-4 word length keyword queries for. The keywords are all very different, but they end up in the same kind of legal action. We're wondering whether we should write many different pages, perhaps 10, to cover all the basic different keyword categories, or whether we should just write a few pages. In the latter situation, many of the target key words would be mentioned in the text, but wouldn't get placement in a url or title tags. One basic problem is that since the keyword queries are made up of different words, but result in the same kind of legal action and applicable law, the content of the pages might be similar with the only difference being a paragraph that speaks to that specific key word. The rest of the content would be quite similar among the pages, i.e. "here is the law that applies, contact us." Also, some of the keywords, like the name of the law, would have to be repeated on all the pages.

Title Tags & Keyword Order
Hi I've read various articles on this - some saying it's still important to have the keyword at the beginning of the title and some saying it's not a big factor anymore? Does anyone have an opinion on this?

How to perform keyword research for Innovative products?
Hi Mozzers, I am doing an SEO audit for a new client that has an innovative product in the shoe industry. The terms he uses to qualify his shoes don't get searched that much. Digging in into his google analytics I found some potential kws that has a small amount of traffic that he is already ranking for. So my question is how should I conduct my kw research for an innovative product that is new to the market and no competitors to analyze from? Thanks for providing any tips and/or suggestions!

Changing a subdomain to a full domain to rank for a keyword
We have been attempting to get our blogsite to rank for our business name(Instabill). We are now considering changing the url from blog.instabill.com to something like instabillblog.com. I have following concerns about the change; Will changing the domain really be that helpful (i.e. will the change get our blog on page one for the term instabill) We have over 350 pages of content on our blog. Will changing the domain have possible negative effects ( I was thinking of using url updater in webmaster tools and creating a permanent 301 redirect from the older url to the new) Having never changed a url for a site with this much content and seo value for my company I would like to know the following from someone who has made mistakes here before; what not to do what steps you would take to make the transition easier Any help here will be greatly appreciated. cheers, Instabill

I did great keyword research but now what!?
I did some REALLY good keyword research for my specific industry and yes, it was VERY helpful and educational. Now what............... My site title has the keyword I want to rank for the MOST (highest amount of traffic) and my business name in it Meta description also mentions it (I have read this doesnt matter for seo and also read its starting to matter again) My main keyword is in the text of my site several times very well written and spread out. Also in the meta keywords tag and in some of the anchor tags and alt tags. My question is - What about the other - 6-8 keywords that arent #1 in traffic but still get a LOT.......How do I optimize for those as well besides mention them in the site content. Is that really the best place? I don't want to water down my ability to for my #1 keyword I identified but I dont want to miss out on others.............Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time and suggestions! 🙂 This is a GREAT group of people - Im anxious for when I can help others like I have received! Matthew
