Hello, i have couple questions about new home page building.
I want to start build new home page to replace old one. At this moment my home page is obsolete and shows low conversion. My costumers often have negative thoughts about existing one.
My knowledges in coding is weak, where should i pay more attention to design, to section placement, to pictures and video gallery?
Can hosting positively or negatively affect to SEO results?
How to make the new website load faster?
Here's my website's example.
Thank you very much, waiting for replay.

Hello, Nikki!
Thank's a lot!
You realy help me!I will take your opinion.
-
Hello, just some guidelines:
- Write simple and straightforward headlines. Add compelling content that explains what your product is and how it solves customers' problems. Your content should provide readers all the value that they'll get from buying your product.
-Avoid super long paragraphs. Try to write your content in a way that it's easy to read and understand. Break them apart into lists, add subheadings or Question and Answers.
-
Use calls to action that entice users to click. Try to instill a sense of urgency in your CTA buttons. Depending on how long your content / page is, you should have a couple of CTAs.
-
Add images and videos. Make sure the images are in sync with your content. Layout matters - it needs to guide your customers to the end goal, which is to convert. It needs to be easy on the eyes.
-
To help improve web page speed, make sure that your images are optimised for web page use.

Do the clickable images on pages are bad that they will increase bounce rate and distract users?
Hi Moz community, I'm trying to get some helpful answers on this. We are planning to employ clickable images on our website pages which opens in new tab if users click on them. This is to make sure that they can see the large screenshots of our product. I wonder will this increase the bounce rate and drop the rankings. Please share your experience and guidance on this. Thanks

Will Landing Page Design with Large Areas of White Background Enjoy a Higher Conversion Rate?
My designer has created a landing page with a dark background. Text is white and other colors. Does a dark background impact the conversion rate? Is it better to have a white background? I am concerned that a dark background may distract visitors. The landing page is: http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/MidtownLawOfficeSublet3300SFBelowMarket We plan on using this landing page for LinkedIn advertising. Thanks!!

Too many pages or not enough?
I have an SEO question for you: My client is building a new website and wondered about individual pages for his items, let me break it down for you... He sells display cabinets, one of which is a shot glass cabinet. He has 5 types of the shot glass cabinets, that come in 3 different types of wood, 2 different mirrored backings, and with or without a locking mechanism... Now is it better, SEO-wise, to create 5 pages for his shot glasses, with the selectable options, or is it better to create a different page for each of his shot glass cabinet options? This would mean something like 24 different shot glass pages. He feels that the more pages he has, the more lines he's throwing out there looking for a bite, but he, and I, don't know if that is necessarily a good thing for SEO. The pages would be named slightly differently, but the copy on each page would read just about the same... What do you think? 5 pages with options, or 24 pages again with the ability to change the options. Side Question: If more pages is the way to go, what would be the draw back when he does this with his other 8 cabinet types and their multitude of configurations? Thanks for the help!

Same review across multiple pages
Hello, I would like to add reviews on some pages of my website, so it could eventually show up in the google search results with some nice stars. The problem is that the same review will be shown on multiple pages: Example: Reviews about France Reviews about French Riviera Reviews about Monaco (The review is about Monaco but as it's a town on the French riviera and in France i would like to use it to calculate an "Aggregate Rating" for the parent destinations...) Do you think that the use of the same review (with microdata) across multiple pages could be interpreted as a spammy way to get stars in the SERP and eventualy result in lower positions ? Or should I just use the Aggregate Rating without the reviews ? Many thanks for your answers, BR from France Evgueni

Need help Tracking PPC vs Organic and respective ROI
So I have a client who uses PPC and Organic SEO to drive traffic. Once a user gets to the site, the most common action is to fill out a form. I have Auto Tagging enabled in Adwords so all PPC clicks have "gclid" in the url. I am also grabbing the Google Cookie and parsing it out to determine if the visitor is PPC or Organic. So I have an if statement in my form code to pass PPC vs organic through the form for tracking purposes: $url = 'http://' . $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] . $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; if (false !== strpos($url,'gclid')) { ?> Essentially this is saying: If gclid is in the url, or if the cookie contains PPC
