Still Use Nofollow Home?

I was wondering how many of you are still nofollowing the Home button or anything else for that matter?
I thought NoFollow was getting a little outdated, but I still see it lots of places.
Thoughts?

seomoz may script that nofollow because people always post url's with Q's ? True?

You shouldn't use nofollow for any links on your site to pages on your site, unless you really don't want that link followed. Even in that case, you should meta noindex that page, or disallow it in your robots.txt rather than nofollow the link.
You used to be able to do some pagerank sculpting with nofollow, but they changed it a few years ago so that nofollow burns pagerank, rather than sculpt it. For example, suppose you have page A has 6 link juice "votes" to pass, and links to 3 pages:
- page B
- page C
- page D
If you follow all the links, each page gets 2 votes. If you nofollowed the link to page D, then page D will get no votes, but page B and C still get only 2 votes each. So there's no reason to burn those votes to page D, right?
Back in the day in this example, page B and C would each get one of the extra votes that D didn't get (so, 3 votes each), but I guess Google didn't like people over-sculpting their sites to try to push just a few of their pages to #1, and ignoring the rest.

Are DA and PA still important?
I am quite vague about this concept, a few years ago it was quite effective and I used it to evaluate the quality of the website. But lately, I have a headache because some of the DA, PA pages are lower than my website (This keyword doing SEO: Intel core i9) but the rank is still higher.

Can i use "nofollow" tag on product page (duplicated content)?
Hi, im working on my webstore SEO. I got descriptions from official seller like "Bosch". I got more than 15.000 items so i cant create unique content for each product. Can i use nofollow tag for each product and create great content on category pages? I dont wanna lose rankings because duplicated content. Thank you for help!

What factors matters the most when using a 301 permanent redirect?
Hi SEOmozzers, I have a client that has couple of duplicates but I am debating if i should just kill those pages or use 301 Permanent redirects. I know SEO moz provides 2 important factors to look at which are PA and link root domain. 1.Which one matters the most? or which one should I look at first to make a decision? 2. I have empty pages creating duplicate content with a PA of 14 and 1 linking root domain. my thought is to kill the page by inserting a meta NO INDEX. If you don't agree and think I should 301 to an existing page that needs link juice, let me know. Thank you mozzers 🙂

Non-Canonical Pages still Indexed. Is this normal?
I have a website that contains some products and the old structure of the URL's was definitely not optimal for SEO purposes. So I created new SEO friendly URL's on my site and decided that I would use the canonical tags to transfer all the weight of the old URL's to the New URL's and ensure that the old ones would not show up in the SERP's. Problem is this has not quite worked. I implemented the canonical tags about a month ago but I am still seeing the old URL's indexed in Google and I am noticing that the cache date of these pages was only about a week ago. This leads me to believe that the spiders have been to the pages and seen the new canonical tags but are not following them. Is this normal behavior and if so, can somebody explain to me why? I know I could have just 301 redirected these old URL's to the new ones but the process I would need to go through to have that done is much more of a battle than to just add the canonical tags and I felt that the canonical tags would have done the job. Needless to say the client is not too happy right now and insists that I should have just used the 301's. In this case the client appears to be correct but I do not quite understand why my canonical tags did not work. Use target keyword on several page titles or homepage only?
If I want my homepage to rank for a keyword (ie "red widgets"), does it support or dilute the homepage's rank if I use the keyword on other pages? I can see it working either way: The search engine looks at your site, sees that the target keyword is used throughout the site, and ranks the site higher as a result. Using the keyword on several pages makes it so none of them stand out, and ultimately it's harder to rank highly. Thoughts?

Duplicate content on my home
