In addition to competitor backlink analysis, Moz offers a range of features and tools that can be utilized for various aspects of SEO and website optimization. Here are several things you can do in Moz:
Keyword Research:
Use Moz's Keyword Explorer to identify relevant keywords for your industry or niche. Evaluate keyword difficulty, search volume, and prioritize keywords that align with your content strategy.
Site Audit:
Conduct a comprehensive site audit using Moz Pro to identify and address on-page issues, such as broken links, missing meta tags, duplicate content, and other technical SEO issues.
Rank Tracking:
Monitor your website's search engine rankings for specific keywords over time. Moz provides tools for tracking your rankings and understanding how changes in your SEO strategy impact your position in search results.
Page Optimization:
Leverage Moz's On-Page Grader to optimize individual pages for specific target keywords. The tool provides recommendations to improve page content, meta tags, and other on-page elements.
Local SEO Insights:
For businesses with a local presence, Moz Local can help manage and improve your local SEO. It assists in optimizing local business listings and ensuring consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) information across various online directories.
Link Building Opportunities:
Moz's Link Explorer helps you identify potential link-building opportunities. Explore new backlink prospects based on your industry, competitors, or relevant topics, and track your progress over time.
Content Analysis:
Evaluate the performance of your content with Moz tools. Understand which pages are attracting links, social shares, and traffic. Use this data to refine your content strategy.
Competitor Analysis Beyond Backlinks:
While competitor backlink analysis is valuable, Moz allows you to compare other aspects like domain authority, on-page factors, and keyword rankings against your competitors.
Custom Reports:
Create custom reports to track specific metrics and performance indicators. This can include data on keyword rankings, site audits, and backlink profiles. Customized reports can be useful for sharing insights with stakeholders.
Training Resources:
Take advantage of Moz's educational resources and guides. Moz offers webinars, tutorials, and articles that can help you stay updated on the latest SEO trends and best practices.
Moz provides a comprehensive suite of tools, and exploring the full range can enhance your overall SEO strategy. Whether it's keyword research, site optimization, or link building, Moz offers valuable insights to improve your website's performance in search engine results. -
In a certain way, I understand the concern of Manifeat9 regarding his question, and Ely Myers answers with the usual, the general specifications of Moz.
true is that you can get high value results, but it is like other tools such as "Semrush", I think the question is more focused on the additional added value, such as list of urls for link earning.
In case I am paying 179 for the subscription I would like to have the added value, with effective and specific examples for my business.
I do not know if the question is still specific enough.
and if I'm wrong, please accept my apology.

Another usage is URL benchmarking but it requires additional tools like Netpeak Checker or URL Profiler (my preferred one). Say you were doing a migration from one domain to another and also changing your site's design (and maybe shedding some content too). In such migration projects, it's almost a requirement to benchmark the 'SEO value' of each individual URL
Why? Well you may have tens-of-thousands of URLs to migrate, and usually you won't have enough time to do those all manually in 1-1 (A-to-B) terms. As such, if you can demonstrate that large volumes of URLs hold little or no SEO value, those can just be stuck under blanket redirects (leaving you with abundant time to concentrate on high-value pages)
Because different backlink index suppliers (like Moz, Ahrefs and Majestic SEO) crawl the web in different ways, some ascribe value to pages which the others haven't even found. As such I'd use Moz's Links Explorer data as one input, but I wouldn't ignore the others (using just one tool can be really misleading)
I take all the metrics from all the tools, boil them down in a formula and work out what 'really needs doing'. By the way, you can use a similar technique to evaluate all your backlinks if you get a Penguin (link) penalty notification (ready for your disavow)
This is how I approach the disavow stuff:

If you're willing to pull Moz's data off of Moz, onto a central platform (Excel, Google Sheets, Google Data Studio) where you can manipulate the data and 'normalise' or balance it to your liking, it can be absolutely invaluable. So there's a lot you can do with Moz's data, you just need to get stuck in with it
- Don't use just one data-source
- Have an expert compile the data and draw out insights
- Learn more, than you did before

Great question!
In essence, Moz Pro is a suite of analytics tools that will pull mounds of data to help you implement your own SEO strategies! Here's a rundown on some of the major types of data we offer:
-
Site Crawl data: We crawl your site and look for issues with how the site is set up that may impact a search engine's ability to crawl your site's content. You can use this to make sure that all the pages on your site can be found and ranked on search engines.
-
Rankings: Monitor your keyword ranking performance in the top 50 search results for up to 3 search engines and 3 competitors per Campaign.
-
Page Optimization: Check how well-optimized your pages are for each top ranking page for the keywords you're tracking. (The score is out of 100 — the higher the number, the better the page's content is optimized for the keyword.) If you click into a grade report, we provide recommendations on how to better optimize for that keyword.
-
Link Data: We provide information about the highest quality links you're receiving (one of the biggest factors behind where you rank in a search engine), links your competitors are getting, and places where a site mentions your brand name, but doesn't link to you (link opportunities).
-
Research Tools: By having a paid Moz Pro subscription, you can also use all of our Research Tools. Link Explorer is great for link research. Keyword Explorer are good supplements to keyword research, while the On-Page Grader gives you insight into the on-page SEO of any URL and keyword combo. The On-Demand Crawl will run manual mini-crawls on-demand for you. The Mozbar makes it really easy to do research on the fly while you browse the web.
If you have any specific questions about our tools feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com
All the best,
Eli

Will Moz move DA from an old domain to the new?
Hi folks, I'm moving a digital magazine of mine, which has a great deal of authority (DA53!) to a new domain, which is much more brandable. I'm curious if Moz ever passes the actual DA/PA numbers to the new domain. Does the tool pick this up, eventually? I know once the domain is switched, DA will show a "1" -- as the domain is brand new, technically. This is NOT a question about authority/link juice being passed, but rather the numbers being displayed by Open Site Explorer. Some authors do look at Moz DA as an indicator of a sites "power" before applying for authorship, so I'm trying to find a way to move to a more brandable domain, while keeping the OSE stats in place. If it's not possible, I'll have to live with it 🙂 Any input? Thanks everyone!

Open Site Explorer Only showing 2 Internal Links
Hi, for some reason Open Site Explorer only shows 2 internal links linking to our homepage (and other pages). When looking at a competitors site, they have thousands of internal links to their homepage! Are there any reasons why OSE is only showing 2 for our site, when in fact there are hundreds and thousands? Thanks.
