Seeing very few pages analysed re: Mobile usability, in Google Seach Console - why?
-
Hi Mozzers,
Under Mobile Usability, in Google Search Console, I am seeing very few website pages getting analysed - 10 out of 40 static pages, on the website in question.
Is this to be expected or does this indicated an indexing problem on mobile?

Hello!
Here is what happens when a URL is checked:
- If the issue is not found, the instance validation state changes to Passing. If this is the first instance checked after validation has started, the issue validation state changes to Looking good.
- If the URL is no longer reachable, the instance validation state changes to Other (which is not an error state).
- If the instance is still present, issue state changes to Failed and validation ends. If this is a new page discovered by normal crawling, it is considered another instance of this existing issue.
If none of these are being displayed, you want to first identify if their are any errors (Uses Incompatible plugins, Viewport not set, text to small, clickable elements to close etc )
After you fix all instances of a specific issue on your site, you can ask Google to validate your changes. If all known instances are gone, the issue is marked as fixed in the status table and dropped to the bottom of the table
If there are no errors and the page still has not been crawled for mobile usability, then simply ping google to re crawl the site. I would realistically wait 1 week as I have seen a delay in search console and waiting for results to be displayed.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions reach out!

Do modal pop-ups impact the Google Analytics of the host page?
We have an instance of a page where visitors can click a button to start an interactive quiz. The quiz pops up in a modal window that references another domain (the interactive content provider). Will the person completing the quiz in the modal pop-up still be counted as an active visitor on the original host page during the time they are completing the quiz?

Delays in Search Console Data
We are seeing big delays in search console data this month. In the past we have seen delays of a few days, but I have never noticed it being this long before. At the moment we have no data since 23rd February. Have I just never noticed this before or is this particularly long? Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Using Filters On Google Analytics
Hi Guys, I am In need of some technical help with regards to Google analytics. One of my clients has a site providing HR Software on SaaS basis. The users login via the site for the various HR Tools. Obviously this is skewing the analytics data and showing 10,000+ extra visitors that actually don't exist. Now I understand i can add filters and exclude certain pages for instance the login page, however, some users will visit the home page then click login. How can I exclude them just to show new visitors to the site rather than users that are just trying to login. Hope this makes sense Neil

Homepage on page 2 for site:domain
Hi all, today I noticed that our homepage is located on page 2 if you do the site:domain query. As far as I know, the site:domain results mirror the importance in the eyes of Google. Some time ago, our homepage was the first result. I have to say that we do not often have changing elements or new content on the homepage, it is more like a static page. But still the most linked to page on the domain... What conclusion can I come to? Is our homepage of lower importance to Google than some time ago? Is it a problem for SEO? As we backed down our advertisments, the traffic from branded keywords fell the last months - could this be an explanation? And, most important: do I have to worry? (Besides, the SEO-traffic is fine and growing..)

Using Google Analytics for tracking statistics of the HOMEpage
Hello, Lets say I have a website with the HOMEpage being http://www.page.com. There are various subpages e.g. http://www.page.com/page1, http://www.page.com/page2, http://www.page.com/page3 . Now when I use Google Analytics it gives me all kind of statistics for the subpages shown as /page1 /page2 /page3 ... (relative path). According to this pattern the HOMEpage should be just "/". Unfortunately I can't find "/" in any statistics. Is this normal? Thanks in advance

Google parameter
All Welcome! In the old interface, Google Analytics, you can find rare queries (organic traffic) in such a setting: ^ ([^] +) {5.50} [^] + $ (where 5.50 - spaces between words). As an option to use the new interface Google Analytics? This option does not work there?
