Farm update
-
Has anyone noticed any changes since the Farm Update from Google allegedly affected 11.8% of all US queries?
Seems like we got some extra long tail traffic from the US - but its too early to tell if that is a coincidence or a more permanent change.
I guess its one of those days where its good not to be a content farm

Danny Sullivan posted some figures on who lost after this US update: http://searchengineland.com/who-lost-in-googles-farmer-algorithm-change-66173

I'm doing a check on a sample of 1000 domains and will publish results as soon as it's done. We'll give it 30 days

Covid19 algorithm update
So I've felt a rather large cliff dive on my major keywords but minor keywords are doing well. I've been told about a COVID19 update. Does anyone in here have any pointers or knowledge about this? I've dropped around 9 places and more importantly off the first page for my important keywords

Was there Algorithm update over last weekend (sep 29-30 2018)?
Howdy fellow mozzers, This morning, during our weekly client meeting, I have noticed that pretty much all of our clients' rankings went down a little after a weekend. Nothing major, but noticeable enough on the rankings graph. The MOZcast shows that there was some kinda activity over the weekend with higher than normal temperatures. Anyone has any idea?

Huge difference in browser and search console rankings: Any latest updates?
Hi, We know that it's common to see some ranking difference in browser and GSC for a keyword. But I can see there is a huge difference from last 3 months. We position at 15 to 20th position when we search in browser (different IPs without signing in to any Google account; where as the rank in GSC varies between 35 around. I wonder if anything changed in the way Google reports and does anybody face the same issue? Is there anything we can do about this? Thanks

Algorithm Updates
Hi I wanted to ask if anyone had any methods of checking whether you've been affected by a Google refresh? We saw a drop in visits back in July 2015 and I'm trying to pinpoint what from. I saw their was a refresh, but this only affected 2-3% of sites. I wasn't working on the site back then so I'm not fully aware of what was happening Thankyou

New Google Update In The Past Two Days???
Was there a new Google update in the past couple of days. Traffic on my test site has gone from ~ 1,000 per day to over 4,000 per day for no particular reason. Most of the traffic is still coming from Google and is not the result of any new major links. My keyword rankings also appear to be the same ...

Considering the Panda algorithm updates, would you recommend reducing high amounts of inbound links from a single website?
My website has a significant number of inbound links (1,000+) from a single website, due to a sponsorship level contribution. Both my website and the other are authorities in the industry and in search results (PR of 5). Since even ethical websites can suffer a penalty from each iteration of Panda, I'm considering significantly removing the number of links from this website. Do you think that measurable change would be seen favorably by Google or would the drop in links be detrimental?
