Outside of Google & Bing what is your favorite search engine and why? This could be for personal use, competitive research, user experience.

I do quite a few searches on twitter; unfortunately usually there is even more "noise" then even Google shows.

Why rich snippets have disappeared in Google search results ?

Hello, Few weeks ago, we have implemented a snippets strategy in order to increase our ranking for our blog posts. That was successful and our results were showing up in Google. But today, every single snippet has disappeared. We go back to a simple search result, without snippets for us or for our competitors. It seems that Google has delete rich snippet for specific keywords because for the generic keywords (for exemple "inbound marketing definition" in our case), there is still a snippet result. Do you know if Google has changed snippets parameters for keywords with low search volume ? Thank you !

Search results vary in chrome vs other browsers even in Incognito mode: Google's stand?

Hi all, We use incognito mode or private browsing to check the Actual results which are not impacted by previous history, location (sometimes), etc. Even we browse this way, we can see the different search results. Why would this happen? What's Google's stand on this? What is the actual way to browse to get the unbiased results for certain search queries? I have experienced that Chrome will rank our own websites bit higher compared to the other browsers even in incognito mode. Thanks

We use SLI for our searches and are thinking of just going back to the searches on our platfrom Bigcommerce

Does anyone have any experience with the advantages of using a search product like SLI in comparison to the search available on Bigcommerce. We currently use SLI for the searches on our site but think over the years we have been using SLI that the searches on Bigcommerce have improved and we are thinking of switching back to using the Bigcommerce search. Can anyone recommend any companies, tools or products to monitor and suggest best practices for submitting products to retailer search engines (Amazon for example). Local Search Not Responding To Optimisation

Hi guys / gals. This is quite rare for me because I normally can put together a good strategy based on the best articles / content etc I have read. However this time I am in a bit of a situation where I dont seem to be able to get results for my Google Local Listings or Google Plus Places page. The listing is good, has a description, images, url, address etc. The weakness was a lack of citations, so I got the White Spark Tool and went to work. I have probably built about 20 citations - all pretty good sites, nothing dodgy. The issue is my listing has gone the wrong way i.e. lost positions. What am I doing wrong here. Why are search results different for 'Yahoo Search' and Powered by Yahoo search?

So if you misspell something (no dns to connect with... unregistered domain as an example) on a browser that uses a Road Runner connection, it takes you to a search engine 'powered by yahoo search' which searches for whatever you typed in. Anyway, today we noticed that the website of one of our clients isn't coming up in this 'Powered by Yahoo Search' via roadrunner but comes up in Yahoo Search for the same query. In fact, we noticed that our clients website (10 yrs + established site) is missing in yahoo powered by search but on all other engines. Any clues? I thought this should be generally the same across Yahoo / Yahoo Powered / Bing / Bing Powered. Could this be using something pre-bing merger?
