How do you differentiate the Keywords for marketing??
-
I have generated more than 1000 quality keywords For my Foundation, now i am very much worried how would some on separate the keywords in to conversion keywords, Targeted Keywords, High priority Keywords. how would you justify that the keyword which are short listed will be the best keywords for website promotions??
-
The best way I know of to truly research your market and figure out which keywords will convert well is to use Google AdWords. Aaron Wall wrote a great post a while back about this topic: Market Research Using Google AdWords
Aside from that, you can also look at whatever traffic you are currently getting in your analytics. Although this will obviously not be a complete picture of all of the opportunities available to you, you can certainly mine the data for some sort of actionable information.
Oftentimes, the short-tail keywords are not the ones that will work best for promoting your website. There is frequently a tradeoff between traffic and conversion rate. Short-tail keywords get tons of traffic, but they don't always convert well. Conversely, long-tail keywords might not get much traffic, but if you choose specific targets, they can convert exceptionally well. Obviously your strategy is going to involve targeting a mix of both.

Which keyword to use (plural / singular)
Hi guys. So I'm racking my brain with a question whether I should use plural or singular keyword as a focus keyphrase of my page. The page that I'm optimizing is basically a review page of different websites offering proofreading services. Considering the fact that this is a review and I mention a lot of websites on my page, I decided to rank for a plural keyword that ends with "services". However, this keyword is very unpopular (ahrefs doesn't show any volume for it), while singular "service" has about 100 searches per month. As far as I understand, Google sees both keywords as synonyms, because search results for both keywords are almost identical. Should I change my keyphrase to singular "service" (even though the page mentions a lot of services), or stick with "services" instead? Do I have a chance of ranking for "service" if I stick with "services" in this case? Thank you.

What is the best tool or method to locate good keywords?
Hi to all, So as I am working towards the best possible site that I can build, what is the best tool or method to find keywords that people would search for that may line up with my website? I have starting using google keyword research tool, or at least I think that is what its called. Also I am using moz, but it shows bing result for traffic. So I guess backing up, do you usually find the keywords with the largest traffic estimates, and then work those words into your web pages? I know to build for people first, then search engines etc. But just curious what you do or use to get an idea on what keywords are popular. Thank You

Competitive keyword ranking
Hi, I'm checking the SEOMoz keyword rankings report. I've set about 30 keywords and it's awesome to see how they rank and how many times they were clicked. However it would be interesting to see whether the keywords that I entered are competitive or not. It's not worth putting a lot of energy in making non competitive words rank higher I guess. So my question is: is it possible to see whether or not ranked keywords are competitive or not? Thanks!

Most Important Keyword Term
Question about a sites most important keyword term. So lets say you have a website and your most important keyword term is "Blue Widgets", you also have a page named "blue-widgets.htm". What do we do with our index page in this instance? Especially for the title tag? Should I put "Blue Widgets" in the title tags of both pages? I'm guessing this would be a duplicate meta tag error? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
