Hello Everyone,
We have about 15 clients who we need to do link building for but I am at a loss on how to even begin.
Does anybody have any tips or tricks to achieving quality back links in a short amount of time?
Any help is appreciated!

Thanks. I am tasked with updating and refining our current process for my boss. We do use most of the common best practices...but we certainly want to continually enhance our process.

EGOL said it perfectly, "Linking building is the most challenging part of SEO for most people." If you are new to link building, it might be best to outsource this to someone who knows what they are doing. The negative repercussions for doing a cheap fast job could really hurt your business in the long run.
However, with the warning aside, you can always start by obtain your competitors backlinks, but you have to be careful. Not every link your competitor has is a good links, and being able to sift out the crap links from the good ones takes time and experience.

Linkbuilding is the most challenging part of SEO for most people. Getting quality links fast is extra challenging.
If you have fantastic, best-on-the-web content you can often just submit it to sites such as Reddit and Slashdot and Stumbleupon... if it really is great content that will be like throwing gasoline on a fire.
If you don't have that type of content then you can buy backlinks... but bought links can be risky and you run the risk that they will be devalued. I don't recommend it.
You could also hire someone who knows what they are doing to build the links for you or teach you.

There is a lot of good linkbuilding information and ideas posted here at SEOMoz and elsewhere on the web. You could dedicate the next few weeks to study and learning the basics. Then you will need to spend a lot of time still, figuring out how to do it and the challenge is different for each client.
If you are not up to that you can again, consider hiring someone who knows what they are doing.

Does this link building actually work?
Doing a small SEO project for a local dermatologist and when reviewing competitor link profiles I found one site that was earning a TON of links from other doctors throughout the country. From what I can tell, it looks like this web development company builds medical practice sites, then puts a page on each site that links to all other practices they created site for. Internal Link Building and Link Juice Quality
Hi There! I manage the website for a law office that covers many geographical locations. For very specific niche content, we would prefer to create one piece of content and link to the various geographic locations where we would handle that topic instead of posting multiple variations of the same content for each specific geographical area. If we put a button on these pages that has links to each location, will that have the same "link juice" effect to the pages we're linking that linking directly in the text would? Link over-building?
Hello all. One of the first things we do for our clients is to claim their local listings, include them on a set of selected directories (8-10), and blog directories (5), if applicable. Since they will all be linked to the client site, could doing all of this at once run us into problems with unnatural link growth? Thanks! Frank

Link Building Tactic Advice
Today, a link builder contacted us, and in exchange for a link to his site he will be willing to give us a blog post on his sites.. The sites he is willing to give us a Blog post/links on are all around PA 25 and DA 25.. The site he wants us to link to has a DA of 78 Can someone advise us on any positives or negatives. on positing on his lower quality sites in exchange for links to his quality site.. Should we go ahead and partner with them ?

Anyone have experience with AdTaxi for link building services?
Recently a client of ours received a proposal from a local newspaper for search related services, including link building. I believe the name of the company the paper is working with for some of these services is AdTaxi, which i had not heard of before. Anyone have experience with these guys from a link building standpoint? I know that here we are more "do it yourselfers" and for the most part, we handle all of the on-page and technical SEO for our client's sites, but link building as a dedicated service isn't something we have the resources to offer so I'm just looking to do some research. Which way of Link Building is best for seo and long term results
Hi - Have started off with a Automotive site - www.mycarhelpline.com based in India 15 months back Have achieved close to daily visitors of 2500+ in numbers Have made do follow links through - Article submission in high pr directories, couple of press releases, high pr forum submission, directory submission with high pr (though yet to get link from yahoo, botw n dmoz) and couple pf backlinks in high other pr sites Need to know - Best way to create backlinks - is article writing the best way to create backlinks - as against paid directories and paid press releases. I Can target 350 articles in high pr article directories for 6 mo - Ezine, Selfgrowth, Articledashboard n others How can i achieve my target of 10,000 daily visitors. What link bulding strategy do i need to adopt - as am finding difficult to explore sites where i can build backlinks except articles There are other Auto sites - heard of getting 40K unique visitors on daily basis Pl suggest . thnx

Reciprocal Linking Strategy
Hello All, I wanted to ask something regarding a link-building tactic that I was thinking about trying. Many sites have what seem to be automated systems for adding a URL to a page in a site, but first require a reciprocal link to be posted from a page on your own. I was thinking about starting up a separate small blog/information site that related to subjects in my industry, and posting links to related resources on other sites as well. Could I use this as a vehicle for acquiring links that point to my main domain, while reciprocating links from the separate domain where the blog/informational site was located? Has anyone tried this before? Do these automated systems only accept a reciprocal link request if a link is verified from the same domain that you request your link to be pointed at? I realize that some webmasters who verify links manually may have an issue with this, however I feel I can overcome that concern more often than not by delivering quality, relevant content on the informational site (as well as promoting that site separately). I think any savy webmaster would prefer it this way as well. I'm certain this has been tried before, but would like to find out what kind of results I might expect. Any experience or advice that may be given here will be much appreciated. Mike
