Access To Client's Google Webmaster Tools
-
Hi,
What's the best/easiest way for a client to grant access to his Google Webmaster Tools to me?
Thanks! Best...Michael

Thanks, pal! Best...MJ

Egol: I'm not 100% sure on that, but my suspicion is that its only for Webmasters tools, not for analytics or adwords or the like.
M: My apologies, the dashboard is actually the site page... you need to home page. When you're logged in, click the "Google WMT" logo on the top and it will take you to the home page that lists all your domains. Its on that screen.

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for the info. Sorry to be super dense, but as I look at my own Webmaster Tools Dashboard, I don't see a thing that says "Manage."
On the right side I see "Crawl Errors," Keywords," and "Site Maps." Are we tallking about two different pages perhaps?
Thanks...Michael

Ryan,
Do you know if that grants access only to WMT or does that give the new owner an ability to sniff other parts of the google account?
Thanks!

From their dashboard there is a link on the right hand side of every domain that reads "Manage". Click that and select Add or Remove Owners. And on the next page at the bottom click Add Owners, then add your google account email.

Hi Michael,
The easiest way is to get his/her username and password...
Failing that, and assuming you have FTP access, just add the site to your own Webmaster Tools account and go through the verification process - You can verify one site in multiple webmaster tools accounts with no negative impact.

Duplicate Meta Titles and Descriptions Issue in Google Webmaster Tool
Hello All, We have one site named http://www.bargains-online.com.au/ & have some categories along with filter option on left side like filter by price & by brand, ect. Difference between SEOMOZ and Webmaster Tools information
Hello, There is an issue that confuses me and I thought perhaps you will be able to help me shed some light on it. I have a website which shows 2,549 crawled pages on SEOMOZ and 24,542 pages on webmaster tools! Obviously there is some technical issue with the site, but my question is: why the vast difference between what the SEOMOZ crawl report and webmaster tools report show? Thanks! Guy Cizner

What's the correct SEO for a Gallery?
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone was an expert on galleries and using canonical URL's? URL: http://www.tecsew.com/gallery In short I'm doing SEO for a site and it has a large gallery (3000+ images) where each specific image has it's own page and each category (there's 200+) also has its own page. Now, what I'm thinking is that this should be reduced and asking Google to index/rank each page is wrong (I also think this because the quality of the pages are relatively low i.e little text & content etc) Therefore, what should be suggested/done to the gallery? Should just the main gallery categories get indexed (i.e http://www.tecsew.com/3d-cad-showcase)? Or should I continue to allow Google to trawl through all of it? Or should canonical URL's be used? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best Wishes, Charlie S

Google Webmaster tools vs SeoMOZ Crawl Diagnostics
Hi Guys I was just looking over my weekly report and crawl diagnostics. What I've noticed is that the data gathered on SeoMoz is different from Google Webmaster diagnostics. The number of errors, in particular duplicate page titles, content and pages not found is much higher that what google webmaster tools is represents. I'm a bit confused and don't know which data is more accurate. Please Help

For Google + purposes, should the author's name appear in the Meta description or title tag of my web site just as you would your key search phrase?
Relative to Cyrus Shepard's article on January 4th regarding Google's Superior SEO strategy, if I'm the primary author of all blog articles and web site content, and I have a link showing authorship going back to Google Plus, is a site wide link from the home page enough or should that show up on all blog posts etc and editorial comment pages etc? Conversely, should the author's name appear in the Meta description or title tag of my web site just as you would your key search phrase since Google appears to be trying to make a solid connection with my name, and all content?

ECommerce Site, URL's, Canonical and Tracking Referral Traffic
I'm very, very new to eCommerce websites that employ many different URL's to track referral traffic. I have a client that has 18 different URL's that land on the Home Page in order to track traffic from different referral sources. For example: http://erasedisease.com/?ref=abot - Tracks traffic from an affiliate source http://erasedisease.com/?ref=FB01 - Tracks traffic from a FB Ad http://erasedisease.com/?ref=sas&SSAID=289169 - Tracks more affiliate traffic ...and the list goes on and on. My first question is do you think this could hinder our Google rankings? SEOMoz Crawl doesn't show any Duplicate Content Errors, so I guess that's good. I've just been reading a lot about Canonical Url's and eCommerce sites, but I'm not sure if this is a situation where I'd want to use some kind of canonical plugin for this Wordpress website or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!

A question about RSS feeds and nofollow's
With the nofollow tag used very widely on the internet these days I was just wondering about how an RSS feed might help me find a way around it. Basically my question is this : I post a comment on a blog, it's approved and my comment together with my link(nofollow tag applied) is there. Now when the blogs RSS feed updates, does this nofollow tag get applied to the feed? As far as I can tell it does not - but I'm not too clue'd up on how the feed is generated. Anyone want to help me understand how it works and if what I'm suggesting would be 'a way around the nofollow tag' ? Thanks 🙂
