One brand 5 services. How to optimize?

We have a client that provides 5 different services all under one brand and one site. The challenge is getting good web popularity to each major brand. It looks like this:
Brand ( No real Internet traffic to Brand keywords)
Service A
Service B
Service C
Service D
Service E
All the services are displayed on the home page. The SEOmoz scores are now (in general) as high or higher than the competition in the service keywords, but, of course, we are only ranking on the top for one of the services. It's a local business.
We are just finishing a re-design of the site so that each service has an internal "micro site" within the domain. Each of the services is linked from the home page to its micro sites Anchor page. The anchor page is linked to 2 to 4 other pages all directly related to that services information.
SO my question is, should we continue to work on building the home page popularity, or focus a mix between the Home page (Brand) and the Micro sites Anchor pages. or just go
for popularity of the Internal Anchor pages for the services?

Egol is correct. It is really hard to address your question without a great deal of specifics.
The only general recommendation I can offer is to be sure to cover all the major factors for each page before trying to drill down on your home page.
Let's go back to the MOZ Chevrolet example. For your body shop, I would ensure you are listed in any local directories as Moz Chevrolet Body Shop. I would also work with insurance companies, towing companies, police agencies and anyone else I can think of who is a possible source of customer information and can offer a good link.
You don't want to get caught up tweaking minor details on the main page when you have big opportunities on the other pages.

For this question, generalized advice is meaningless. Too many factors are involved, such as the rankings of your individual pages and the keywords that your homepage competes for.

I guess I could ask this question in a different way.
If we continue to spend 100% of our efforts on the home page popularity ( meaning linking, and all other related SEO type tactics) will we see greater returns on all 5 , (assume all 5 have equal value) than if we spend 100% of our time on the service anchor pages, regardless of the order.

I will create an example to try to make this easier.
You are the proud owner of MOZ Chevrolet. Your dealership offers:
New Car Sales
Used Car Sales
Auto Repair
Auto Body Shop
Auto Parts
Each of those five separate departments (what you referred to as services) can have their own sections within your site. As you suggested each of these can be micro sites.
The main MOZ Chevrolet page can focus on broader key words or phrases such as "Chevrolet" or "Chicago Chevrolet". Meanwhile your Auto Repair service can focus on "Chevy repairs" and other key words.
If you are the auto repair manager, you can offer your departments page as the home page for your customers. You can run promotions, track statistics and in many respects treat your pages as if they were their own site.
The key factor is how strong are these services? In this example, many dealerships are quite casual about their business. Meanwhile, your body shop manager can be aggressive, seek business, provide higher standards, etc.
In summary, if your services are strong, then they can absolutely support their own pages. If they are weak, and you don't foresee a change, you may opt to focus on the main brand.

Have you spoken with the client about which services they most want promoted? Where do they have capacity, where do they have profitability, what parts of the business do they enjoy?

Prerender.io and similar services to index content - legit?
A client has a huge, unique, updated list of B2B products that are in javascript and not indexed. Reading around, I think I've found that: Google allows showing bots and users different content (if it's fundamentally the same) with no penalty There are good, bad, and ugly ways to do it It's a semi-common problem There are services like prerender.io and formerly ajaxsnapshots.com that can help with this However..... I can't find a single authoritative (read: from Google or Moz) that says the above point 1. I found this White Hat Cloaking: It exists. It's permitted. It's useful. But can't tell where my situation fits (or if it does). So... if I use prerender.io to surface content to get it indexed... is that a smart move? I'm 95% sure it is, but I need 100% to make the decision.

Should party services directory switch to nofollow links? What are the implications?
Hello Mozzers, I'm looking at a niche party services directory (b2c). However, they're not using nofollow tags on backlinks from their paid entries (free entries only get phone numbers and not backlinks). If they suddenly switch all the paid-for backlinks in their directory to nofollow, might that have some kind of negative impact. Switching sounds like the best way forward, but I want to avoid any unintended consequences. Thanks in advance, Luke

Multiple Domain Names Pointing to One URL
Hi! A company I work with has purchased several (70-something) domain names that are relevant to their business. According to their IT pro, they're currently using DNS to point those domains to our IP address, with a catch-all header on IIS for that IP address. Essentially, we have 70-something domain names that direct to the homepage. I noticed that some have been indexed by Google and are pulling in the meta of the homepage they're being directed to. Is this potentially an issue? If so, would 301 redirects fix this or are we okay with the status quo and the indexing is no big deal? Thanks in advance!

Facebook page optimization
I'm working with a client who is "under attack" by one unhappy customer. That customer created a Facebook page to share her outrage, and her page is outranking my client's (consistently immediately above his FB page). I've checked all of the obvious things... page name page URL About section, and all business-related data He has MANY more "Likes" than she does, makes posts far more frequently (with much better Engagement), references his company name in almost every Post (as she does), and on and on. My main question is this... are there one or two factors that seem to have the most impact on how a given FB page ranks? Thanks for your help, Moz family! 🙂

Two sites, two domains, two brands, 98% same content
There are two affiliated brick & mortar retail stores moving into e-commerce. For non-marketing reasons separate e-commerce websites are desired. The two brands are based in separate (nearby) cities in the same Canadian province. Although the store name and branding will be different, the content on the site will either be near duplicates or exact duplicates. The more I look into this on Google and SEOmoz QA, the more I am concerned about the SEO implications of this. SEOmoz QA: Multiple cities/regions websites - duplicate content? "So, yes, because you are offering the same services at second location, you are thinking correctly about the need to rewrite all content so it's not a duplicate of site #1." Duplicate content - Webmaster Tools Help "However, in some cases, content is deliberately duplicated across domains in an attempt to manipulate search engine rankings or win more traffic… In the rare cases in which Google perceives that duplicate content may be shown with intent to manipulate our rankings and deceive our users, we’ll also make appropriate adjustments in the indexing and ranking of the sites involved. As a result, the ranking of the site may suffer, or the site might be removed entirely from the Google index, in which case it will no longer appear in search results. ... Duplicate content on a site is not grounds for action on that site unless it appears that the intent of the duplicate content is to be deceptive and manipulate search engine results." Unfortunately, I would say there's very little chance that rewritten content will happen in the foreseeable future. Not sure why Home page is outranked by less optimized internal pages.
We launched our website just three weeks ago, and one of our primary keyword phrases is "e-business consultants". Here's what I don't get. Our home page is the page most optimized around this search phrase. Using SEOmoz On-Page Optimization tool, the home page scores an "A". And yet it doesn't rank in the top 50 on Google Canada, although two other INTERNAL pages - www.ebusinessconsultants.ca/about/consulting-team/ & /www.ebusinessconsultants.ca/about/consulting-approach/ - rank 5 & 6 on Google Canada, even though they only score a grade "C" for on-page optimization for this keyword phrase. I've always understood that the home page is the most powerful page. Why are these others outranking it? I checked the crawl and Google Webmaster, and there is no obvious problem on the home page. Is this because the site is so new? It goes against all previous experience I've had in similar situation. Any guidance/ insight would be highly appreciated!!

Two links from one page with different Anchor text
Example Business Name - UberPuter UberPuter targets the keywords "Computer Repairs" right from their home page. UberPuter has the option to place links on 150 of their customers pages that are happy with the service. Would it be best to place two anchor text links one with the brand name and one with the keyword anchor text in "computer repairs" pointing both at the home page or should UberPuter only place one link back to the home page for the Keyword Anchor text? To the best of my knowledge G only counts the first link on a page as a "Vote" so my thought is to only include the single link with the keyword anchor text. Thanks,

Redirect on exact match domain to Brand domain question :)
Hi, If I have a website with the domain crazysocks.co.uk and a title tag 'black socks' would I see any benefit redirecting blacksocks.co.uk to crazysocks.co.uk, to give my keyword 'black socks' a boost in the SE's from the EMD. I see it loads where an EMD is indexed for its term but when you click the result it redirects to a branded domain. I personally cant see this being true but wanted to double check.
