Google places rejected
-
google has rejected a few listing i have for certain businesses, i have read the guidlines and I am well inside them.
It does say that if business name is changed you need to re-verify, but does not allow you to do so.
I think google have lost their way, they should stop building operating systems and electric cars and get their web site sorted out.

Hi Alan
Really sorry to hear that
I set up all my clients on different accounts so as to minimise risk of this type of thing.
What you could try (perhaps for a less important GooglePlace / client). Set up a new ID and then go in via a search on GooglePlaces and see if you can take over the listing. Worth a try perhaps.

I fixed all problems and requested to be re-activated, and it told me it will take several weeks.
Thing is, because a few listing had problems all my clients have lost their listings for several weeks

I guess you deserve to be marked answer, as you led me to find the problem -
THanks mate,
no i have not contated yet as i doubt that will be quick,
I i just answered Rob, i cant re-vwerify it has no link, yet others do. -
Sorry went off into a bit of a rant, I guess i wanted to know if others have expirenced this, and if they solved the problem.
This has happended only recently, and it has happened to many of my listings.
some opf them did not fit guidlines, but others do, one in perticular i can not find anything wrong. As i stated, it does say that a change of busines name need re-verification, but it does not allow me to do so.

Hi Alan
To change your business name (or address) you have to verify by mail or phone. (I am assuming you have received your pin number and are able to edit your details??)
Have you tried contacting Google using the 'help' link at the top right of the GooglePlaces page.
Like Robert says it isn't totally clear but I hope this helps.
GooglePlaces are great so perservere!!

Alan,
It is hard to tell hear if you are asking a question or not. If it is a question, give a bit more detail and maybe someone in the community can help. Our company does a lot with Places so would be happy to assist if possible.

Google Custom Search vendors and options
Hi everyone, We're in the process of finding someone who will be able to help set up Google Custom Search on our site and are having some trouble - most agencies we were hoping could help solely focus on Google Search Appliance, a hardware-specific approach that doesn't suit our needs. Specifically, we'd like to replace our current site search engine with Google Custom search, as well as configure it as deeply as possible for the best search experience I'm hoping people could give me some ideas on who might be able to help, or the best places to look. Thanks in advance!

Google penalty removal expert questions
We have searched online for a Google penalty “expert” (individual or company) and have located what appear to be “experts”. Please provide feedback on the following 2 individuals/companies we have found that can help with penalty removal. Have you or one of your clients used either of the “experts” below? What were the results? How many disavows and reconsideration requests did you/they have to make? 1.www.penaltypros.com . To give a quote and to see what your links are they use links from Google Webmaster Tools only. Penaltypros.com disavows first and then removes bad links second. This is opposite of what Google and Seo’s recommend but penaltypros.com claims 100% success using this non-traditional approach. See imgur.com link for screenshot. 2.http://www.hiswebmarketing.com/ To give a quote and to see what your links are they use links from https://ahrefs.com/ only. Please provide any and all feedback on the above 2 “experts” and also post the websites, individual names, company names of those that you consider Google penalty removal “experts” so that we may obtain a quote from them. Is it currently possible to have a company logo appear with a Google search result?
Hello, We're experimenting with rich snippets. It seems fairly easy to attain authorship through Google and have a headshot appear in a search result... However, we are wondering if it is possible to have a company logo appear (perhaps through rel="publisher"?). Surprisingly, I can't find much info on this. Thanks!

Google Product Feeds - New Requirements
We are in the jewelry industry, and for Google product feeds, we list our products under "Apparel & Accessories > Jewelry". As of the new Google feed requirements, they are saying that we have to choose a gender and color for each product that is in the Apparel category. While this makes sense for clothes, it doesn't exactly for jewelry because many items are for both men and women, and there's not always a color associated with each product. I can enter some of these fields manually, but with 5,000+ products, it makes it difficult w/ each update. Anyone have solutions for this? Or a way around it? Can we just include those fields but leave them blank? Any other solutions?

What is the best place to learn reputation management, with regards to SEO
I have a new client that needs help with a bad review. Of course it may not be able to be deleted, but I have started to scratch the surface on how to help 'push it down' using SEO. Can any offer advice on a definitive source of learning reputation management? Many thanks!
