What is the best place to learn reputation management, with regards to SEO
-
I have a new client that needs help with a bad review. Of course it may not be able to be deleted, but I have started to scratch the surface on how to help 'push it down' using SEO.
Can any offer advice on a definitive source of learning reputation management?
Many thanks!

I don't know any one great source for this, but for the most part, a good reputation management process isn't all that complex, it looks like this:
1.) Identify what existing content has the best potential to rank (social media seems to do great, review sites that allow you to moderate or at least respond, etc... pretty much anything that isn't scamreport)
2.) Identify how you can easily get some more good content out there (ie. getting permission to syndicate some of your clients' reviews to big sites is pretty popular). You can also put some keyword-rich content out there, though, it's generally looked down upon to flat out fabricate reviews, so careful there. Syndication can be especially helpful here (think: press release about the posting of a client reviews section somewhere, linking to a handful of your social profiles). I've also found that profiles on social sites are much easier to move up for your company name than just flat out starting a fresh blog.
3.) Build lots of good links to the positive content. This tends to be much easier than you think, as your company name is nowhere near as competitive a phrase as what you might normally try to optimize for. The key is just to have a lot of it (at least 20 pieces to start), as some may not respond as quickly / effectively to your link building as you might hope.
That should about do it. If you have a scenario where the reviews are flat out dishonest and spammed again and again by the same person, some webmasters will be receptive; many won't, but it never hurts to bring it up with them once all the same.

Hey I'm doing web optimization of my site Best Blender under $100 My inquiry is with respect to Backlinks. There are 2 things which can be seen in MOZ announcing 1. DA(Domain Authority) 2.Spam Score Presently how might I choose from which site would it be advisable for me to get Backlinks? From higher DA and Low Spam Score or Higher DA and High Spam Score? Does Spam Score will affect my Rankings or not? Also, my last inquiry is what number of Backlinks would it be advisable for me to make on everyday schedule? Respects,

Weebly vs Wordpress for SEO?
Hi Mozzers, Wordpress has become a pain in the butt as far as plugins slowing down site speed and snippets of codes breaking here and there. My goal is to decrease the constant maintenance that needs to be done on Wordpress. I am curious what do you guys think of Weebly as an "SEO platform" vs wordpress? I only hear good things about Wordpress for SEOs but what about Weebly? Please share your thoughts and why one or the other is better for SEO purposes? P.S: if you have any experience with Weebly, feel free to let me know how did that go for you and if you were satisfied with it. Thanks!

Please critique my seo packages page on my website
Hello, I think there is a lot of room for improvement to my SEO packages (analysis) page on my website. Visit it by clicking here. I've always done SEO for our own business, so I'm new to this. Any help is appreciated. btw: I'm going to redo the chart on the page. I don't think profit and sales would ever compare like that. Thanks.

Best SEO way to implement multi language store
Hi, I have a magento 1.7 multilanguage store with the following structure: www.example.com/nl and www.example.com (Dutch) www.example.com/uk (English) www.example.com/de (German) As you can see the dutch language basically has two url and this gives problems according to Roger. Both urls show the same page and therefor duplicate content. Should i 301 www.example.com to www.example.com/nl ?

And would this not cause problems with the indexing because www.example.com is shown when searching for my keywords. I need to have all three languages to be indexed good and used only for the correct countries.0 -
Real-Life Negative SEO Study
This isn't so much of a question as an offer The Offer first, then the story. We are currently the target of a sustained negative SEO. This was only discovered in the last 3 or 4 days (Webmaster reports impressions down from 15,000 to 1,600!). I'm not asking for help, I believe we know what to do in order to combat it. My question is whether anyone at MOZ would like to use it as a real-life ongoing case study. We are not a new company and have never dabbled in black hat SEO. All current thinking suggests that this shouldn't have been possible given our age and reputation. A summary of our company/site below: 9 Year old domain $3m annual sales Previous Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Company 25,000 Facebook fans Hundreds of natural links including CNN.com, Washington Post, Inc.com I'm not the best writer and I'm not that technical. I would gladly give the right person full access to anaylics, webmaster tools, sales reports, interviews. Given that this is still ongoing (and there's always a chance we might not recover!) I suspect this would make a great case study for the community given the right author. gfbM8kV
