Importing Open Site Explorer Into Raven Tools
-
I have just started to use SEOMOZ and Raven Tools at the same time. What is the easiest way to import Open Site Explorer link data (.csv extension) into Raven Tools so that I can manage my link building campaigns? If somebody knows an easy way to do that I will appreciate. Thanks in advance!

I wish someone had told me that before!!! Will save me bundles. Thanks Jon. Cant believe I missed that function.

There are a couple ways to go about this. The first is to do what Scott Griffiths said. Export the data and then edit it to fit our link import format. The second approach is to just use our Research Central tool, which pulls in the same backlink data from the Mozscape API. That tool will allow you to directly add links to the Link Manager, individually or in bulk. Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Hope that helps!

All we did was to create a spreadsheet template where we re-mapped the appropriate columns. We then load in the export data from OSE, transform it into the new template, and then exprt this as a CSV ready for import into Raven Link Manager.
Not elegant or automatic, but it works.

I'd love to know this too. Great idea

Am I better off with ten links from one site or one link from ten sites?
I am writing a series of linked-back articles for a highly-ranked web publisher, but wonder if I'd be better off sharing the articles across different sites. My goal is to grow our domain authority and SEO rankings.

Links in other language than site's language
I have a quick question regarding usage of links in my articles or website. As I already told in my last night question, I drive 2 french blogs. I'm wondering if putting on english sites links in my articles or pages to add complimentary infos on a particular topic would be useful or messy for my SEO. In other words, will Google be misled by the fact that I write in french and that I put english links ot ressources in my texts even if they are on a related topic

O.S.E. vs Webmaster Tools
Webmaster tools is telling me I have a bunch of websites pointing to my website, and I have been adding links as of the last 3 weeks which WM Tools is already seeing. Open Site Explorer isn't really showing any of them? My site has gone from bottom of page 5 to page 2 in just 3 weeks so I'm happy about that but can anyone explain this to me?

Article submission web-sites and SEO
Does article submission web-sites have any impact to SEO in these days? There are a lot of good/not so good article submission databases, but does it really matter if you spend a time to write unique articles for them? I mean, is it a good way for link-building, or should I spend more time for other parts of SEO? There are also a special websites (for example SubmitYourArticle) which automate this process, does it make sense to use this services? Alternates? Lots of questions… Update Sorry, I found some good answers only after that I posted this question.

Back linking to t foreign sites
One of our major competitors seems to be linking to an Asian speaking website that has a blog/product review formant. I was wondering how they are achieving this. Are there any non English /Asian sites worth submitting to and what is the best way to go about this if English is the only language you speak! And of course is it worth while doing this from an SEO perspective.
