Link Exchange - Would this work?
-
Hi - So I recently thought of linkbuilding and the right way to do it. After trying a couple of methods I realized that good and trustworthy websites are hard to find, and even those ask you for some kind of payment. So my option would be to contact foreign SEO agency - that would logically have a big portfolio of websites from a lot of different domains and establish partnerships - find solutions. Giving that we are in different countries and we operate different websites we could really make a great job without paying attention to competition on the same nieche.
This idea came to me a couple of minutes ago, and I though it would be great to ask your opinion, and who knows - maybe we can even have a partnership - especially since I believe SEOmozzers are the best
What do you think?
-
Hi, and thank you for your answer. I believe that from all the link building techniques this could be the fastest and safest way to build valuable links from trusted websites. I am thinking that a good decision would be to partner up with other SEO's, keep a close relationship and just do it.

Your Proposal seems just like a standard 3-4 way reciprocal strategy. If you are within related niches and do not do Homepage links, then in theory it may help you, but it all really depends.
Of course this strategy could pay of, and for some I am sure it has, but this should not be the only method in which you obtain links in my opinion.
You will need to be meticulous in your tracking of links to verify you do not leave a footprint. All in all in my opinion I am not sure the work involved will translate to a large SEO gain, so the return and risk would outweigh the benefits.
w00t!

Short - - Building links on related industry sites.
-
Hi and thank you for your answer. Nope - that isn't what i want to do or say. My view is the fallowing: if i would have a foreign partner we can both work together on linkbuilding - for example I could say: look, i have this great website for a 4 start world know hotel - it has natural links and continues to receive links in a natural way. I do not trust directories and I would need a good link exchange partner that could offer to trade links - 3 way maybe or 4 way - with another 4 star Hotel website, that also has quality. We could help eachother out - deeplinking - and not on trading links on the first page or on a page made for link exchange. We could both have quality links. All the websites i am in charge of have a PR 3, good authority, and represent trustworthy companies, brands or national organizations. Even though links build naturally, they still need help, especially since the competition has help - I mean that is why they hired me for.

If you go to an SEO agency which has its own network of sites it is risky,
An ethical SEO agency will do natural link building practices using some of the following methods:
-
Link prospecting (looking at competitors links) finding niche link opportunities.
-
Building great content to obtain links.
-
PR syndication to get links.
-
Video syndication to get links.
-
Building links on related industry sites.
-
Building reputation on forums to obtain links.
The list in endless!!! If an agency says to you ok we have a network of 50 sites we will add your site to them all I would not trust it.

Link Relevance vs Link Authority ?
Hi guys, I have a quick question regarding some low quality links my site is getting. From the information in Open Site Explorer, the website Im talking about has a page authority of 16 while the domain authority is 11\. These are very low quality scores in my oppinion and Im thinking of removing them with Google Disavow Tool. The thing is that, although the domain is low quality, the links have relevance as they're in the same business sector as us. More exactly, the name of the domain is taxisavona and the company I work for is also a taxi company. So, now I`m thinking, should I disavow the link because of it's low scores or should I leave it because it is relevant to our business ? Thank you in advance! Best regards, Tiberiu Iavorenciuc

What is a good ratio of total links to linking root domains?
Is 100 total links for every linking domain too high? I suppose I could also look at ratios of sites that are doing well in the rankings.

Are Directory Links a Good Source of Branded Links?
I am trying to increase the number of branded links for a few of my sites since the links are too heavily weighted on anchor text. If so, would you recommend a service like Directory Maximizer?

Why are none of my incoming links showing up in SEOmoz or Google? How do I get good legit incoming links?
There are hundreds of sites that are linking to my website, but nobody is showing it. Google wont display any when using link:eugenecomputergeeks.com, and in webmaster tools it only shows 46 incoming links. SEOmoz shows only 3 links. This just isn't so. Why is this? I DESPERATELY need valid incoming links from well ranked websites , and having lots of trouble getting them. Nobody in town with a well ranked site seems to want to do a link exchange, and I've already made the mistake of buying my way into directories, which didn't do anything good for my rankings. Thanks!

Link building
Hello all ! I would love some opinions about one Link Building technical aspect from SEOs, link builders ... How important is the number of outgoing links on the page you have the opportunity to place a link ? (from a scale of 1-10 / what about where dose this factor fits overall with your check list , as important to consider as far as link building) Would you place a link on a page with 200+ outgoing external links if the page is ok (not involved in selling links, all links are related with the subject, target page, anchor text etc) or you would go with a link on a 10-15 links per page but not that 'powerful' and not that related (not spammy but more general on the subject that can contain links to some other non related resources). Eg: Option 1: www.whatever-name.com/links.html the entire domain is about x. It has 250 links in that page (in the links.html) all links on the links.html pages are somehow related / resources with x. Your link can be placed with an anchor text related with x that will target a page on your site related with x. Domain page rank : 6 (as a general indicator), Page PR, the links.html one, PR: 2 Option 2: www.some-other-name.com/x-is-so-great the entire domain is NOT about x, just the page. It has 5..10 links in that page (external links more or less related with x - but not spammy) Your link can be placed with an anchor text related with x that will target a page on your site related with x. Domain page rank : 3 (as a general indicator), Page PR, the links.html one, PR: 1 What's your best option ? Thanks !

Free link on a Paid Link Blog
Hi there, I have been doing some outreaching, and managed to have a blog post accepted on a authority blog. They included links to my website, and I was very pleased with the placement. However, having browsed through the site, I was worried to see that they openly admit they allow 'reviews' of websites, with backlinks included, for $50 per review. I am worried I might be penalised without actually doing anything wrong. I did not pay for my link, but the link has been placed on a site which openly admits they accept payment for links. Should I be worried? Should I ask them to take it down? To date I have been told countless times by bloggers I am outreaching that if I pay $10, $50, $100 etc I can write a blog post. I have never accepted because of the risk of penalization. Now, unwittingly, I am linked to from a paid link site with a blog post that would look like I have paid for it because of the placement and style of back link. What do you think? Thanks,

Link Directory
I am not an SEO expert by any means, just trying to improve the ranking of my own personal real estate site. Are directory links good for backlinks, or are they a waster of time?
