Duplicate content via syndication?

I have a full text RSS feed of my blog available for users with RSS readers. A few sites have said they would like to republish the unedited feed on their site (so my blog postings show up on their sites with links back to my site embedded).
I'm wondering if this is a good/bad idea (to let them republish my postings) and/or if I should do anything in the feed to protect myself from an SEO point of view?
Am I at risk of some kind of duplicate content penalty from Google, or will Google figure out that I'm the original source (which would be good) since the blog postings have links back to my site?

Yes Mike, the trick is that whenever someone reposts your article they link back to the original version. That can be embedded in your content, or they will also get that from the in your RSS feed.

Thanks, James. The links in the feed link back to my home page, not the blog article on my site. I could change that. I also like the idea of adding additional deep links back to other parts of my site. I will do that.

In all likelihood you'll be ok if they link direct to the original content (not just a link on your site - the URL of the exact content). Also add a few links to other categories/products if you can.
If you are really concerned you could also just syndicate a brief summary of the article in the RSS..

If you get a backlink, probably your document will be correctly seen as the cluster representative. Sometimes it can happen that your content is filtered (but there is no duplicate penalty) because the syndicating site is more authoritative than yours, or if your indexation frequency is lower than its and so the syndicate content is indexed before the original one.
If they use the unedited feed, however, you can get some deeplinks if you have internal linking in your contents.

I have been a writer for a long time. I have done a lot of writing. Many excellent teachers, professors, bosses, colleagues, and editors have helped me. looking to keep adding to our blog in a big way. Things I use are questions we get a lot, we add them to blog and answer them - works quite nicely. Look at other blogs although in our industry its not really there, etc. What are some of your strategies for looking for content to write about?

How does one write different pages of their website that are very similar in nature with using too much duplicate content?

Can I share share my content with other sites either as a individual post or RSS or will I be encourage duplicate content on the web and upset Google
Hi, I have a new site http://www.homeforbusiness.co.uk. I want to encourage traffic to the site by sharing some of my content with other related websites which have a higher PR ranking and traffic for a link to my site. Is this going to upset Google re-duplicate content and devalue my site and stop any organic rankings in the future? Equally some high PR sites which have a good synergy with mine such as http://thewomensbusinessclubs.com/ allow me to add my RSS feed with their blog network. Duplicate content because of tag
Dear Expert, I use several tags in my single post (www.rumahapp.com), for example when i post something about new game release i would use these tags: Publisher name, game rating and game genre. The problem is seomoz crawl my page and said that i have duplicate content between http://www.rumahapp.com/tag/com2us/ and http://www.rumahapp.com/tag/homerun-battle-2 how do i solve this? is this mean that i shouldn't use tag in my post? thank you
