Where do I find the best link building company?
-
Hi there,
I'm trying to find an ethical, honest, link building company.
We don't want links on shady forums, or comment spam, or any of that black hat nastyness!.
I want links, on proper sites, and I'm prepared to pay for them accordingly.
We're also more than happy to write/have written/ quality content that can be linked to.
(We already pump out about 15 x 400+ word, optimised blogs weeks)
We spend hours on the various social media sites also.
So I think the only thing we're really missing now, is decent backlinks and possibly some more long tail keywords...
Over to you guys.
- Paul.

I think that an agency's blog provides a good barometer of their quality at earning links. Are their blog articles great and do they attract links? Also, you want to check their link profile to see the quality of their backlinks. Some agencies that I would consider top-tier are Portent Interactive, Seer Interactive, and Distilled.

We have used firms overseas for seo work and they are great. The only negative working with a company not in your time zone is when you need answers quick. I really like using a seo company as more like financial advisor. We do most of the seo work but it is helpful to have someone agree or disagree with your efforts.
If you can hire someone internally and use great forums like seomoz may also be a great way of building a good seo person in house. In the long run it maybe cheaper.

A few weeks ago Susan Moskwa and Maile Ohye spoke about this exact topic and Google's response to buying links... Their Answer was "YES" you can go ahead and purchase links from many of these agencies however it will not inflate your PR nor push any Juice to your website. The reason is because Google cannot shut down these companies however they can control the link juice from those links and downgrade the authority of the link at the same time it identifies new signals making Google aware of new branches of the link buy.
Personally You really do not want to get caught up in that Mess.
Link Building is a tricky thing these days since Google Caffeine as well as other Google Updates, They are always getting smarter.

Did you give a look at the recommended list by SEOmoz? You can find it here: http://www.seomoz.org/marketplace/companies/recommended
Any how, whatever will be the SEO company you will contract, be always clear about your firm will in not risk any BH or shady link building tactics.

I would say a quality PR agency with SEO knowlege, that can put you in contact with high authority sites and publishers. Linkbuilding is PR if you ask me. You hit jackpot if the agency has creatives that can think linkbait.

Best Software To Alert On Incoming Links?
Hi Guys, I've got most of the software I need for general link analysis, Moz/Majestic etc. But what I am lacking is software that would give me an update when one of my websites receives an incoming link? That is if there is such software available. All suggestions and help appreciated. Sam

How to link build?
Hello all. I've been having intense conversations with an experienced SEO, who has told me that the only way to get consistent links to your website, and to build you business through the web is through blogger outreach, and then paying the bloggers to put your appropriate content on their high Page Ranking website. To me, this may well be right. But it sounds dull as anything. Any thoughts? William

Do I ditch the link building and risk the drop?
I am currently on top of SERPS but am worried about some of the links being built by my seo company. We add loads of content to the site which I think is fine. We have somebody working on the on page and tech side of things which I think is fine. However I am still paying an seo company which basically builds links for me. Because I am in top spot for many terms I am nervous to turn it off. However I am also nervous that one day I will wake up and we will have been penalized! They do not build many links and they are convinced that google still want to see a varied link profile. If I stop paying then some of the ‘better’ or higher PR sites will no longer have a link to my site and will therefore drop off. We do have a great site with great content so I think we do many things well but I am nervous that these paid for links will be the death of me if I am not careful. The question is do I get rid of the link building and risk the drop? Or is a small amount of links just to keep the link profile looking Ok and not overdoing it the right move? Thanks a lot. Dave

Link building- Point us in the right direction
We are currently fixing crawl errors and other on page issues and have taken on board that 'content is king' and have invested a lot of time and resources into writing unique content on each of the several hundred pages on our ecommerce site (not just to avoid duplicate content but add researched content that will hopefully enhance the user experience and allow them to make the best choice of products) and earlier this year started blog writing regular content about updates, industry trends and current events e.g. Euro 2012 (all content relevant to our sector and/or products). So we are actively working to improve our SEO (and also have regularly updated social media accounts with healthy number of followers) but the problem is link building as we work in a sector where the content isn't really all that exciting so getting link backs from sharing our written content is rare and also doing an infographic and/or guest blogs would not bring anything exciting. So how do we go about building white hat links? The only thing I can see is maybe doing press release submissions but from research there is mixed feelings about this. Any advice that could point us in the right direction would be appreciated.

Recommendations for a good outsourced link building partner
Merry Christmas everyone. You shouldn't really be reading this question on Christmas Eve but as you're here... ...I'm looking to outsource most of my link building to a good partner. Can anyone recommend a person or company that they have used in the past who has delivered good results. I have used oDesk in the past and paid peanuts and got appropriate results in return. Poor quality links that everyone else was going after and that disappeared after a few days or weeks. I am very dubious of using these automated link creation sites the web is littered with, and most of them are dodgy link farms or worse. Ideally I would provide a set of keywords each month and the partner would spend their time working on links based around these terms and the content on our site(s). Your comments, suggestions and ideas are all very welcome. Have a fun Christmas everyone Scott.

When rebuilding a site, when should you start building links?
We are in the process of completely rebuilding our web presence. We went ahead and started a blog using Hubspot while we are redesigning everything and writing all new content. The new site will be live in early August. The question is when do we start making a big push with Linkbuilding? I am currently trying to promote the Blog but I'm wondering about linkbuilding for the rest of the site? Do we wait until the new site is live or do we start doing it now? The new site will be completely different from the old site?
