Schema for Hotel
-
I was interested in setting up rich snippets for all our hotels. I having a difficult time finding an example for a hotel without reviews. If you could add reviews, is there a way of showing your ratings on google places? I would like to add a picture, price, reviews, etc. for www.paradisus-puntacana.com/?
Anyway, you can help me out with forming a rich snippet for this hotel?
-
I would go to Organizations: http://schema-creator.org/organization.php
From there you can pick from the drop down menu. Sorry it took so long for me to respond... I was eating pizza

Thats a great site. They dont have a section for business or properties. Which path do you think I should take?
-
That's what I use.

Thank Alan. I know schema for hotels page and how to test it. But I was trying to get an actual example of my hotel in order to get it correct.
-
Hotel comes under local business, there are examples onthis page
http://schema.org/LocalBusiness
here is hotel, but it is just the same as localbusiness and does not have examples, so use the examples from above link
Having marked up yourself as a hotel, you want to mark a product, like a room booking, then add an offer, with price, or AggregateOffer if you have aprice range
You can have a look at how i have marked up SEO as a product on this page

This is what google supports at the moment

Links to external site (hotels link)
Hello, I am currently designing the webpages of my website and I am wondering if I should link externally or if it going to hurt me ? I am in the travel industry and for example in the France in the Loire valley, I want to list hotels that people can stay at in pre and pods trip. Is it ok to link to maybe 10 of those hotels websites or can it hurt me ? Thank you,

Help with Schema & what's considered "Spammy structured markup"
Hello all! I was wondering if someone with a good understanding of schema markup could please answer my question about the correct use so I can correct a penalty I just received. My website is using the following schema markup for our reviews and today I received this message in my search console. UGH... Manual Actions This site may not perform as well in Google results because it appears to be in violation of Google's Webmaster Guidelines. Site-wide matches Some manual actions apply to entire site <colgroup><col class="JX0GPIC-d-h"><col class="JX0GPIC-d-x"><col class="JX0GPIC-d-a"></colgroup>

| | Spammy structured markup Markup on some pages on this site appears to use techniques such as marking up content that is invisible to users, marking up irrelevant or misleading content, and/or other manipulative behavior that violates Google's Rich Snippet Quality guidelines. Learn more. | I have used the webmasters rich snippets tool but everything checks out. The only thing I could think of is my schema tag for "product." rather than using a company like tag? (https://schema.org/Corporation). We are a mortgage company so we sell a product it's called a mortgage so I assumed product would be appropriate. Could that even be the issue? I checked another site that uses a similar markup and they don't seem to have any problems in SERPS. http://www.fha.com/fha_reverse shows stars and they call their reviews "store" OR could it be that I added my reviews in my footer so that each of my pages would have a chance at displaying my stars? All our reviews are independently verified and we just would like to showcase them. I greatly appreciate the feedback and had no intentions of abusing the markup. Google + and Schema
I've noticed with a few of the restaurant clients I work with that Schema isn't contributing at all to their SERP -- their Google + page is. Is there any way to have more control over what Google is pulling to help make UX better? I.e. showing photos of the restaurant without a logo, etc.

Correct Schema Markup
Hello, I've been having some markup issues and need some help. I researched what would be the best Business type and used that markup on the website. But when I check it in the testing tool I get this http://screencast.com/t/vtlfn2MNPKf It doesn't recognize the object type. Could this be an error with my website or the markup its self? Please advise Thanks

When to Use Schema vs. Facebook Open Graph?
I have a client who for regulatory reasons cannot engage in any social media: no Twitter, Facebook, or Google+ accounts. No social sharing buttons allowed on the site. The industry is medical devices. We are in the process of redesigning their site, and would like to include structured markup wherever possible. For example, there are lots of schema types under MedicalEntity: http://schema.org/MedicalEntity Given their lack of social media (and no plans to ever use it), does it make sense to incorporate OG tags at all? Or should we stick exclusively to the schemas documented on schema.org?

Does Schema.org markup require a HTML 5 doctype?
I would like to implement Schema/microdata on a clients website, but the site is currently XHTML. Is html5 required for the micro data tags to be recognised? Will it work if I implement micro data on my XHTML site? Thanks for any advice you can offer.
